I have no idea about some of the breeds introduced here and I don’t even have a dog. But boy aren’t they fascinating and beautiful creatures.
I encoyrage you to watch and enjoy, you will see many breeds that we do not have in the US and probably not seen in other countries as well. Dogs arw fascinating, intelligent and beautiful creatures as you say.
Oui ils sont trop beaux bien sur
I love this group! Corgis are such fun, full of intelligence and some mischief- happy to see their tails now.
É verdade antigamente era amputada....
Could never understand how hard it is to compete in this kind of contest! IT IS LIKE ASKING WHAT'S THE BEST FRUIT! NOT FAIR
Best Fruit is Mango very clearly 😂😉
To be fair it is not judging which dog is the best. It is saying which dog is the best example of it's breed.
Have no idea how did the youtube algorithm bring this up on my Recommended page, but sure as heck grateful it did!
That Beauceron is STUNNING
Always nice to see all the pastors dogs as I own Rough Collies which one day I would love to see them win
Same grown up with rough collies 🥰 most beautiful dogs nice to see a sable and white there
@@romana55 if I keep my training up you may as I own four tri one sable and six little puppies one week old
they're beautiful dogs!! Although I admit I do prefer the American Rough Collies - the ones that aren't quite as over-abundant in coat length and severity lol!
As a person who shows dogs in the US, it’s very interesting to see the differences between this show in the UK!
Right? I'm in Canada and to me it looks like that blue heeler has a head like a chihuahua
Border Collies will always be my breed, but I am very fond of the Swedish Vallhund.
Border Collies are my favourite too.
I’ve owned Maremma sheepdogs! So I’m very proud to see this breed in Crufts.
The German Shepherd was not overly atrocious like some that have been shown at Crufts in recent years -- she was rather nice to look at
I was thinking about the German Shepherd that was in this group a year or two ago - the poor thing was so slanted and the handler was yanking her around for no reason
11:36 one of the happiest run ever seen :D
I wish my corgis could go on this!
Why not. Start with local dog shows first. I also started this year with my corgi :)
A good way to connect with your dog for sure. Crufts maybe a bit extra with how serious they that all of this, but there are shows out there that are friendly. Starting locally can be a good start.
I thought that smooth collie was something special too!
What a lovely Pembroke Corgi girl! So glad she took 2nd. (I'm American; not used to seeing Pembroke Corgis with long tails). Nice Group!
I love the tail.
Yeah so glad they banned docking the tails of the corgi
Dogs with docked tails are not allowed to show in crufts.
@@emilydavison2053 a good thing too
She's a cardigan Welsh corgi my girls all 3
Finnish Lapphund 💕❤
The lappy made me smile at 16:45
The gsd looking better this year but they are all looking so beautiful
yeah she was nice to look at
Better German Shepherd than i have seen in a long time
Nice to see one with a more normal back. Hope this a trend.
@@kaydeal775 here are also over angulated, & runningon. their hocks
@@Memow-pk1ng yeah a lot of American show GSDs are HIDEOUS GARBAGE

Great video, great commentary; way too many ads on RUclips. I finally gave up because it was down to 3 minutes between ads.
Get RUclips Premium. Since I watch RUclips everyday, it is worth it to me. Cheers!
Никогда не надоест смотреть это шоу)
That Border Collie is so gorgeous!
But yet again they're altering another breed. The show Border Collie is completely different than the proper working Collie, and is not fit for function. As a lot of the working dogs are not.
@@bordercollie1140 This particular dog is fit for function, the breeder of these dogs often competes in herding and disc. I have worked with both show and working lines, they have their pros and their cons, and most show lines are very capable dogs.
@@charka9732 They compete in trials but does that translate to actually working on a farm, meeting the farmer's requirements? Plus I believe in general, that more breeds have been hindered rather than helped by the K.C. and the people who adhere to their standards.
@@bordercollie1140 I have a few friends with small farms that use show lines as their herding dog, since they have a more calm temperament and they’re also happy to come back home and cuddle. I also have friends that owned working lines as their primary herding dog, they are most of the time much more efficient at their job, but due to their insane energy have trouble settling at home. Which you choose depends on the size of your farm, your abilities and how much time you are willing to put in in training, and which dog you think is easier to train (some consider show lines easier to train for herding, others think it’s the working lines) It’s important to remember that there are “bad” dogs in both groups, those that we’re bred purely for show and struggle with drive and motivation, and those that we’re bred purely for work to the point where it’s impossible to get them to settle so the only thing left to do is stick them in a kennel.
@@bordercollie1140 As for the KC standards, I’m not too familiar with it as I do FCI. I’m sure there are standards that hindered the breed, like roaches in GSDs not being a major fault in KC and FCI, they’re not catastrophic but they can cause some issues (which is why I prefer the AKC standard for the GSD) These are just guidelines for what the dog should look like, a good breeders responsibility is to test their dog’s working ability. But we shouldn’t put down show lines just because of the few people that don’t work them
Loved the Pastoral Working Group and so glad the Pembroke Welsh Corgi came in 2nd. Congrats to all.
What a lovely border collie, she's a little cutie
It was so fun to see some Hungarian herding dogs, puli, pumi and komondor, my favorite was a pumi so cute and beautiful!
I agree, however my favourite the Hungarian mudi sadly was not here, they are stunners
I loved the Pumi too. I admire the Judge, not an easy job to do.
That floor mop has legs. Where do you get one?
Does anyone know when the hound group judging is? Or have I missed it?😅🙈❤️
It's up now
The Lancashire Heeler is the cutest
Beautiful group. Very sedate, at least at the outset.
7:41 is too obvious which is the most stubborn breed (my Pembroke gave me a deadly stare in the eye while I was laughing at that LOL)
Congratulations to the beautiful border collie girl
wow beautiful dogs
Corgs are short, but they stand taller then everbody else

I'd like to hear the commentary from the announcer. Guess I'll have to take a trip across the pond.
Are they saying "bitch" to the female dogs ? Iam from Germany and dont understand it right i think..or did they say that ? I thought bitch is bad word ? Pls answer iam Confused 😅
"bitch" means female dog. when referring to it in this context, it is not seen as offensive. example: "the samoyed bitch has a fluffy coat" BUT, if you use it as an insult, then it is very offensive. usually, people use it as an insult. normally people don't refer to female dogs casually as bitches, it's more often in shows or breeding. hope this helps, feel free to ask any questions.

What a shame to see how the breeds have been ruined by Show Breeding/just for looks over the years.
They all looked healthy and happy to me
Considering show dogs are all health tested, they're actually much healthier than they've ever been on average.
@@Kelsie154 Healthy but ruined, none of them could do a full days work that they were bred for FACT!
@@pegknife Except that's not a fact. In many breeds, such as the GSD, they not only have to be able to show, but they must also pass an extremely difficult working title to even be considered for breeding.
Ergo, they have to look pretty AND work.
@@Kelsie154 Keep taking the meds, good luck
Borde collie se lo merece
i hate dog shows it so unfair its what one judge thinks so what if that judge is paid off or dont like what a dog looks like there needs to be 3 judges
Dogs are judged based on how close they are to the breeds standard. It's not wether or not the judge likes the dog or not.
@@artiicom so you still havent prove to me it isnt the opinion of one judge
?????????
💕💕💕💕💕
I like agility, but truly truly hate this. This has norhing to do with dogs, or the love for dogs, but everything with the ego of the owner. At least with agility the dogs are having fun. You can hear the joy in their barking while running. Breeding dog with very short legs just because someone thinks it looks cute is just sick. If you realy love dogs then let them be dogs and not an extension of your own ambitions and ego.
Do you even know how a dog show works? Conformation judges how close the dog is to it's breed standard, why do standards exist? Function.
The dogs with short legs here are heelers, a branch of herding where the dog bites the heels of the stock to get them to move. Short legs allow the dogs to do that without being a big target for kicking or obstacles.

@@artiicom you made the same comment 3 times
Please, please, pass on to the male announcer that there are no "ranches" in Australia. A large area of privately owned pastoral land in Australia is called a "Station" Not a ranch. Enough to make one cringe with embarrassment on his behalf.
Regardless, thanks for posting.
🐾🐾🐾👍
I think these commentators talk so much that only a person that's got no knowledge actually is what it takes to believe them, because one thing for sure is that none of any more than 1 in any of these show line dogs are fit for functional purpose, and when a dog folds the camera moves, i saw a English mastiff couldn't even łap the ring twice and the woman commented oh its such a long day for the dogs....! 😳 also I don't enjoy seeing especially the small dogs getting carried around by their necks for posing or for entertainment reasons dogs being made to dance for human pleasure.... I also think it beggars belief that the commentator talked about the controversy of the German shephard did being changed!! That's the entirety of the kernel club with every breed they've changed the dogs to a level they can't work... There's so many breeds upon this show that should not be bred any longer like the English bulldogs, dachshunds, pugs French bulldogs
I agree about all the breeds that shouldn't be bred anymore. Pugs, French Bulldogs and many more. I think the dancing dogs look happy. They're doing something, active for their mind and body.
@@emilydavison2053 thanks for your response i just think we've not to mistake a dogs loyalty to Please and that of singing for its dinner, I agree with the dogs need to be stimulated and exercise and that's why a bed should be selected for the working life it was bred.. Dogs have personalities and will want to play etc, but what we are witnessing is a dog singing for its dinner, and wanting to please, the dogs aren't doing what they are bred for and allowing to show their intellect that way..
@@temujinadonijah6365 ok if that's how you feel. I like the agility competition best. In my opinion, the 'dancing dogs' are happy.

All those breeds are lovely they just need certain things bred out of them.
Border Collies are so overrated!
Even when I generally agree with you, this one was just stunning. A well deserved win imo.
Still shake my head. They call the boy dogs "males" but the female dogs "b*#ches". I don't care if historically its "How they've always referred to the "female" dogs. , why would you choose one of the "historically" derogatory words for females. Bad taste in my opinion.
The professional Kennel clubs need to get with modern times.
That's the term for a female dog, its not about being politically correct.
Am aware of tha,t but still derogatory. They don't call male dogs Bas$&*ds. Has nothing to do with being politically correct. Just because it's always been the term doen't mean it should continue

@@kaylaireland3494 well then also millions others, docking & cropping , for certain breeds here in US, is in AKC written standard.
