What's the point of this? Nobody sees the underneath of your car. And with the undercoating removed, any pebble in the road that hits the car can cause a chip that will start rusting.

This process is mainly performed on collector cars.
The undercarriage condition can be more important than the exterior.
There’s plenty of nice looking cars out there but a quick peak underneath will say different…
When buying or selling a collector car
determining rust issues, previous substandard repairs or verifying factory markings is extremely important.
The majority of classic cars I see with rubberized undercoating caked in the wheel wells and undercarriage are normally hiding something..
When preparing a car for sale the presentation and the cars transparency is paramount.
A true and verified car will bring a higher price and win more shows..
There are also coatings that can be applied after cleaning to help protect the surfaces.
However, most of these cars are only sparingly driven on sunny days!
