*DO ALL NEW PLANES HAVE A THIRD SPOT FOR A FLIGHT ENGINEER? DOES AN ENGINEER PANEL STILL EXIST ON NEWER PLANES?*
*DO NEWER PLANES STILL HAVE CONTROLS AND SWITCHES ABOVE THE HEAD OF PILOT/CO PILOT?* THANK YOU
Thxs for putting up the year in the title!
Nice to see what aviation was like back in the days. Great video
Jeez mate it was only 26 years ago, stop making me feel old 😂
Bring back Sabena Airlines !!
Excellent video. I remember seeing Sabena at ORD alot. That Jeppesen map of Chicago O'Hare has to be a valuable keepsake with the changes in the last few years
*PILOT RECORDING WITH PEN AND PAPER. AWESOME*
The -300 is such an interesting model. It's the almost -400 structurally, minus the 2-crew flightdeck, winglet and extra fuel tanks like the Captain said. This one had the older GE CF6-50 engines, same as the -200. Later -300 model productions circa 87-90 had the option of newer CF6-80 engines identical to the -400 but without a FADEC. Boeing installed the same engines on the VC-25A. Varig, Air India and Thai all had 747-300's flying with the -400 engines. Interesting shots here as well of the Litton INS system in action which is closer to an early FMS than a classic INS like the old CIVA. It had a nav database and could store a full fltplan of waypoints included named ones. The classic CIVA INS like on Concorde and older 47s could only store 9 waypoints at a time that had to be cycled/updated as the flight progressed. The 747s were real fast as well, one of many underappreciated benefits of them. 528 over the ground going west across the pond. Awesome.
🎉🎉 amazing
I miss the Sabena name in the skies! Brussels Airlines should rename itself to Sabena again!
At 25:44 you can see part of the Renault factory at Vilvoorde, famously closed about a year before this was filmed.
Mashallah ❤❤Happy Eid to all of you, Delhi! ❤❤
Classic!
Bello guys
Old School 😍😍😍😍✈️
Real aviation , experience and a famous airline still know for her know-how
The flight engineer look alike to Chuck Norris
*38:59** TCAS...FOR SHORT...INTERESTING GAUGE/RADAR SHOWING ANOTHER PLANE FLYING WITHIN 2 MILES OF THIS PLANE AND 3,000 FEET DIFFERENCE. DO PLANES STILL FLY THIS CLOSE? DO PLANES STILL HAVE THIS GAUGE/RADAR?* TRAFFIC COLLISION AND AWARENESS SYSTEM = TCAS
Why do you type in ALL CAPS? Lateral and vertical separation varies with airspace. 1000ft vertical is normal in RVSM.

Sabena airlines part of Swissair Brussels
