@@tumblingartist it's from a podcast called the Magnus archives. to summarise this episode without too many spoilers (mag81: a guest for mr spider) , a guy called jon is making a little statement about what happened to him when he was eight, and how it got him into supernatural occurences. so he really loved reading and his grandma picked up a ton of books from charity shops for him, and 'a guest for mr spider' was one of them, but it's a supernatural book - it sort of leads you to a place where you get eaten by a spider. but like i said this is oversimplified u would probably need to listen to the episode!
The fact that this sorta sounds like it was read by Season one Tim is funny to me. Like Tim just found this supernatural book in Artifacts storage and instead of being mind controlled he just thought it was the funniest shit ever and decided to do a "dramatic reading" with his best Joe Spooky voice.

Except they're written in a language that either no longer exists or never existed. Understanding the language takes months, but once you fully master it you can only speak in that language even if you try to speak in another existing language 2. A book on animation techniques and history. Everything seems normal at first, but the more you read, the more the shapes seem to pop out as if they're actually non-euclidian 3D objects. The shapes eventually become 4D the further you go. Fully studying it eventually causes you to be able to see 4D or 5D and become a two dimensional being in the style of a Hanna-Barbera cartoon 3. A brochure for a now defunct amusement park. Reading it transports you into the amusement park's funhouse in an alternate dimension. Your actions there still have an effect on the real world, so bumping into a wall could result in pushing someone in real life. Over time, the funhouse distorts itself into impossible architecture and colorful beings on the wall chase you around. You leave the funhouse after banging on a door for an unspecified amount of time
i have .. severe arachnophobia and have been relatively creeped out by every mr. spider animation i've come across, but my god i'm certain this is the one that will haunt me to the grave i love it thank You

when ppl make animatics and such for this, i always wonder why they don't use the original audio since tma's licensing allows for creative use (at least that's how i understand it?) but in this instance, i just wholeheartedly agree with all the creative choices you took. the kid's book narrator was perfect and just added to the sinister vibe
i've seen a couple Mister Spider vids now, but this is the first one that actually gave me a weird, awful compulsion to knock on the screen at that part, CONGRATS on being absolutely terrifying, thank you very much
as someone who is terrified of spiders (to the point where if I see one in my room it may take a bit of reassuring to get me back in) you did really well with making this terrifying, I legit had to hide in the comments
