It is a shame but most decent video's concerning anything mechanical have to have some idiots idea of appropriate music, to a great many people the engine and machinery sounds are music in their own right unfortunately the producers of such video's rarely if ever actually know that, live television is worse, witness both British television channels during the first public running of the only new mainline steam loco. built for over 50 years, BBC male presenter "lets just listen as she steams out of the station" the driver opened the regulator and one chuff later the female presenter started giving us a history lesson , whilst a never to be repeated bit of history was drowned out by her inane and unnecessary waffle.
First of all, it's unnecessary to refer to me or anyone else that has worked hard to put something together (whether you like it or not) an idiot. Secondly, unfortunately I don't have the professional equipment to pick up such treasured acoustics. Therefore, those desired sounds did not record clearly on my basic equipment. Please respect that I am only an amateur that put this together for fun, not for name calling or harsh criticism. My apologies if it didn't meet your qualifications. I'll bear it in mind next time.
Sorry if I offended you that was never My intention I was responding to the previous post, I realise that you take a lot of trouble to record your video and I thank you for it, My comment was directed elsewhere, The trouble is that those with access to the best quality audio / visual recording equipment seem to believe that canned music or verbal waffle should replace the ambient sounds from,railways, ships, heavy haulage trucks and all types of mechanical things in action, why send a crew to record the thing working then overdub the sound ? are sound crews that expensive that TV companies cannot afford to get the sound to match the action? Watch any professional production from any country and as soon as the star of the show starts to perform we get inappropriate music, even though the cost of the actual sound cannot be that different, its as if every producer of such things has an idiot nephew in the music business, and they are forced by the family to give the nephew a job, once again it was not my intention to offend you !! without people like you we would get even less video on such things as we are considered a minority market.
