This video really relieves me a lot. I just bought one from Amazon renewed and it would be shipped on this Thursday. Hope it would be fine and no scratches.
@@ArtistComposer This renewed iPad pro is really great. No function disabilities and no scratches on the body. I even wonder why it is a renewed one. It really saves me nearly 300 dollars. Thank you Issac. Thank you Amazon Renewed.
Thank you so much, my birthday is coming up soon and I decided to pick one up from amazon. This ensures me that the items is actually still like new and everything thank you for this video.
Yep, still performs like new, I love it... :) I ordered two other renewed products since then, one I had to send back after a few days for a screen that started acting funny, and another product that is also running perfectly! :) Remember if you order something that ends up having a problem, amazon gives you 90 days to return it! The products go through thorough testing, but not as thorough as a user using it in the first few weeks. The phone I had to send back seemed fine for the first day, but the screen started to go black about twice a day, and I would have to do a forced restart. Then it went black and never came back on! So I initiated a return, and sent it back. But this replacement phone is amazing, with no symptoms of having the same issue (so far), I have until the beginning of March to send it back if needed...
I like how they are so much cheaper, yet functions so similar. I’m getting the iPad Air 3 on Christmas, I shouldn’t looked more into this before deciding, I want the iPad Pro
Alot of these items are returns in new condition and brand new never opened items that Amazon gets stuck with. I read that they have so much new stuff that they are considering opening stores just to sell all of their back inventory.
6:13 exactly my reaction when I bought a refurbished Hp omen, then tech-brain in me said the same thing -plug in the device... Working fantastic after that :)
Also, in the newer devices, you can generally hold the button down for a bit longer, and it will trigger the startup, which I did not know at the time I made this video. :)
I think it depends on the company that sells the products. I have to examples. First, I got an iPhone XS Max for my wife and it was in very good condition. it only has a couple of scratches in the front of the screen but nothing major to worry about. I went to the apple store and they told me that it has warranty with apple until April 2020. However, I got an iPhone 6S a two ago amazon renewed as well and it came with the touch ID not working. In addition, the internal IMEI was different from the one at the back of the phone. I think Amazon has improved but it's a gamble the good thing is that you can return it if you don't like it.
Thanks for sharing the experience! Since making this video I did have one phone I had to return, and one phone in amazing condition! You’re right, it is definitely a gamble! I do think the 90 day return window makes it a safe gamble though, as that is plenty of time to discover if your product is going to have some kind of defect or not. And each renewed seller has a set of reviews that you can read through to see how often they sell a dud product. The return went very smooth, and I still love the other two products that did not need to be returned. :)
I purchased a renewed iPad Pro 12.9" a few months ago from the same 3rd party company, BuySPRY, and when I tried to activate it with my cell company for data they told me it was flagged as stolen. I had to contact Amazon and they got in touch with BuySPRY and they took the device back with a full refund but still a disappointing experience.
That is disappointing! Thanks for sharing... were you able to get a replacement device from a different 3rd party seller? (Without the same flag?). It may have been an issue of the previous owner not logging out of iCloud before selling it...?
Honestly, I can't trust Amazon Renewed. I returned a Midway Arcade Treasures disc after finding out that 7 out of 24 games are absolutely unreadable when highlighted on the main menu screen. Within a few minutes of testing. A few more are a hit or miss if the disc is left in long enough. Like new / professionally tested? Doubt.
I ordered hp pavillion 2020 core i7.(renewed laptop) well I didn't notice that it was a renewed laptop after I placed the order, anyway we'll see how it goes, hopefully it will be perfect as yours. Thank you
@@MadeByLlama Probably a bunch of returned electronics from a pallet. Would be hard to keep track of accessories, cheaper to throw in a cheap generic replacement.
Good to hear a positive review. Considering an Amazon Renewed product myself (unrelated to Apple). I did notice your iPad came without the official Apple charger from what I can see, is that correct? I think that may be part of the risk you run with Amazon Renewed products. Someone feel free to clarify.
Correct, the iPad did not come with any original accessories. The charger and charging cable work fine, although I did order an upgraded charger. The risk of Amazon's "Renewed" program comes from the internal components of the product that are potentially damaged, but don't manifest themselves right away, for example, a glitching screen may not glitch all of the time, and you may need to observe for a few weeks before the defects will manifest (hence the 90 day return policy for renewed products from Amazon).
This is wy it's cheaper me personally could care less if it's company branded.becouse you can order them peices from the company at a later date.you have to read before you buy

The iPad Pro still works great. No problems at all. I also ordered 3 phones since then from the renewed program. 2 have been amazing, no problems at all (it’s been over 6 months). The third phone had a glitching screen, the problem manifested within the first few days, I sent it back and received a full refund in about a week.

@@DonkeyFrog had to return unfortunately, everything functioned fine except an entire line of DEAD PIXELS that would appear randomly, something wrong with the screen, getting a refund, still processing; I'll order it against and hopefully it works. It's just a giant annoyance since that product isn't sold directly by Amazon I have to wait and get a refund instead of a replacement/exchange.
The renewed iPad Pro is still amazing! Though, I need to mention since then I also purchased a renewed iPhone that I will possibly be sending back, I think the screen is glitching... I goes dark at least once a day, and I have to hardware reset it each time... I will still hold on to it for a while and see if the problem goes away (thankfully the renewed program gives you 90 to try it out). So, worst case scenario, you’ll have the inconvenience of sending back a defective product... best case scenario, you’ll save hundreds! :D
Isaac Lundgren Artist Composer thanks! Also, if you can find a good deal try Apple Refurbished from their own site. I’ve had one for 3 months and there’s no problems whatsoever.
Apple, no doubt would have the best refurbished products, however, the renewed offerings are far less expensive... I'm hoping to find a good one, many people have according to the renewed reviews... so crossing my fingers for another good find.
I just purchased a Amazon renewed 12.9" iPad Pro with the tablet support, then I found your video ;-) Thanks for the review and update. You have eased my concerns. It's a big investment even if it's renewed and a steep discount. I noticed they do keep changing the delivery dates for these sometimes they are 2 day Prime shipping and later or the next day it will be 5 day free shipping. I will have mine next Tuesday. Fingers crossed. I noticed you got the 512GB cellular and was wondering why? The 1TB has been selling for only $100 more, I was considering resale value in a few years.
Hi Mark, agreed it is a big investment, even with the deep discount! I originally had my eye on the 256 with WiFi, but with the renewed offerings I decided to upgrade to a larger model. At the time, there was no 1TB option available (and I for sure wanted to work in the Apple Pencil into the cost as well as the keyboard folio and extra hub)... otherwise, I probably would have convinced myself to do 1TB with WiFi. With the USB C connectivity, and a variety of fantastic hub offerings, it is a piece of cake to connect to external storage or flash drive... it really is an excellent and diverse device! As to the delivery estimates... I think it depends on where you live in the US, mine was being shipped from the opposite side of the states, it also said 2-Day Prime and ended up having a delivery estimate of 4 days... it didn’t change after that, came right as expected. Glad I could put you at ease... I thought this would be a useful video for anyone wanting to save a buck. Thanks. :)
Renewed gives you 90 days to try it out, if any problems pop up, you can return it... I had to do this with a phone, it had a faulty screen, I was able to return it with no problems. The next phone was also fine. :)
Isaac Lundgren Artist Composer is the 90 day after purchasing on the app or after they arrived to ur home ? because in these days it may take a month to arrive and u will lost a month from the return program.
Hhahahaha, this is quite a coincidence for me, I was searching RUclips for "Amazon Renewed" because I just discovered the service today, and I found your video. The reason I was searching it was because I was looking for the EXACT same product you bought, an iPad Pro 12.9. I wanted to see if anyone had opinions on Amazon Renewed, and you've laid my fears to rest as best as anyone can. I'm looking to draw on it with Procreate. Are you an artist too? How's the first month been? Did you get the Apple Pencil and Apple Keyboard for it with Amazon Renewed as well? Thanks for making this vid! Made my day. I think I'm about to save big.
Hey, Kent! Drawing with the iPad Pro is amazing! As good as any top of the line drawing tablet/ pen monitor ✍️... but, it’s so much more functional than a standard drawing tablet, since it’s also a top of the line Apple computer (and you can bring it anywhere since it’s so light and thin). When I purchased a month ago, the Apple Pencil and Apple Keyboard Folio were not available through Amazon Renewed, so I had to buy them new... they did have a small discount at the time via Amazon. If you’re an artist, you’ve got to get the pencil, no question... and the keyboard folio makes the device so much more functional... more like a standard computer when you need it to be. I also picked up a USB C Hub with plenty of extra ports that let you hook up virtually anything... It really is a fantastic device, Apple has finally nailed it for a professional type artists’ device. With Amazon Renewed... since making this video, some people are reporting various defects... like a stripe in the display, etc... I don’t know how often they are occuring, like if they occur regularly or are rare (I imagine they are rare) but there is some risk of a defect... Amazon does guarantee like new performance for 90 days! Which should be plenty of time for a defect to manifest (if there was one). Still no problems whatsoever for me, mine literally looks and performs like new. Best of luck! Isaac
@@ArtistComposer Appreciate the quick response!! I bought my iPad Pro on Friday, just waiting for the delivery. I draw a lot but I need something a little more portable than what I've got and I think this might do it. I also picked up the USB-C HUB 100% because of your vid, seems so functional! I use SD cards all the time, so it's a no brainer for me. Perfect video for me! Thanks a million.
@@ArtistComposer I bought it, and love it so far. Thanks a MILLION for making the vid. I'm not using it as my main art tablet, but it's AMAZING for travel. The USB-C factor is game changing. I had no issues whatsoever with all my items being used through Amazon Renewed or just used through amazon. Got the two year warranty for the ipad just in case though. I also bought a (used) apple folio keyboard and a padded slip case for impact. Appreciate the time to make your vid. Made the difference 100%.
I really want to get renewed galaxy buds for 50 bucks but I'm not sure if I want to trust it because it has a good rating, however the reviews say to buy with caution and some people have bad reviews
From Amazon Renewed!? Wow! better flood that specific seller with negative feedback, need to get him kicked out of the program... before you buy, you can check the ratings on individual sellers and see what others are saying... some have ratings in the 90’s some are lower, like 70’s and 80’s, you can also see the number of transactions they have done, I doubt the dumpster diver seller will last long... also, you have 90 days to get a full refund from Amazon.
I’m assuming the battery is new... it behaves like new and in the “battery health” section of the settings there are no readings before my delivery date.
I haven’t purchased the extra warranty yet, but I am still considering it (for the accidental breakage protection)... yes, the device is still functioning like new! :)
Isaac Lundgren Artist Composer how long do you get to purchase the protection? I just bought an iPad Pro from amazon renewed but haven’t bought the protection yet
This relieves me because I'm about to get an iphone 8 plus from them but I was concerned that it was really sketchy. To be honest I'm still kind if skeptical but I will try them out
Just one correction to this very helpful video: I had a TERRIBLE experience with AppleCare. My monitor died and I had to fight and fight and fight to get them to finally replace it --- even though it was clearly under a current AppleCare extended warranty. Like any (previous) Apple enthusiast, I expected the best kind of service and got the worst. I started out very patient and good natured --- until I realized they wouldn't escalate the problem until I got upset... and they wouldn't escalate it further until I got furious. This was many years back and maybe they were farming out their extended warranties back then. Maybe it's better now. I continued to buy Apple products for a while, but got tired of their high prices and emphasis on design over functionality. I'm someone who likes jacks and ports and connections to be in the front of a computer, not around the back where you have to hunt around with your fingers to find anything. I like devices I can open and upgrade and repurpose. Maybe that's better now and I do appreciate their emphasis on privacy. All that being said, the whole point here is not to just assume Apple will take good care of you. They did their damnedest to leave me with a dead monitor under a current warranty.
BuySpry, but I bought another product from them that had a faulty screen manifest after a few days, so it’s hit and miss. There was no trouble returning the faulty item. I bought the second item again from a different seller and it was fine. (I cant remember the name of the second seller, sorry).
The iPhone with the faulty screen had 100% battery health. The replacement iPhone with no problems has 93% battery health. I’ve checked it every week for 2 months (with regular daily use) and it’s still at 93%. The iPad Pro has no way to check battery health as iPad OS does not have that information available in the settings (please don’t insist that info is there, it’s not, I’ve been around and around this topic before with many RUclips commenters). But, to me, the battery performance seems to be fine, and the Amazon Renewed program requires it to be at least 80% or its not eligible for the program to begin with.
I'm thinking about buying an galaxy watch active 2(renewed) and I wasnt sure about it,but I'm gonna give it a try. My sister bought a samsung computer a couple months ago,and so far everything has been working just fine,so I think it is reliable to buy renewed stuff from amazon
IMO if you are shopping for apple products I would just go with apple refurbished. It’s a bit b more expensive but you know what you are getting, 1st party parts and a 1 yr warranty.
It’s 90 days to return a renewed item... agreed, 30 days is not enough to make sure a refurbished item won’t have any problems manifest, but 90 days is plenty of time. :)
I went for the note 9 on renewed and it came with some screen burn in, so I obviously left a poor review. Literally within 30 seconds of that review the seller calls me up and says he'll overnight a brand new one.
Im realizing now that Apple no longer lets you check the battery health since iOS 12... that’s why I’m having trouble giving everyone a straight answer. Just from observation without health percentage data available to me, the battery seems to be performing fine. In the fine print for Amazon Renewed it’s says the battery will have at least 80% of its original capacity... so I imagine if you somehow discover that it is less than that, it is cause for Amazon to refund/ exchange the device and reprimand the seller. I’m fine with the battery level the way it is, whatever that percentage happens to be.
@@ArtistComposer You are right, it is under my iphone settings but not my ipad. It would require another app for that info, dumb that apple didn't show that with their ipads but they weren't in the throttling issue. It's just a giant annoyance since that product isn't sold directly by Amazon I have to wait and get a refund instead of a replacement/exchange.
How is it holding up now? I want to get one.
Thanks. :)
Is original ?
I’m sorry e-Song, I’m not sure what you are asking here...
yes
Great video, but not everyone will have the same experience as you. I'm afraid to buy used products but I really want an iPad again 😕😔🤔😭
I mostly got it the iPad for my gf to learn on procreate, because it's such a lean & mean program.
Awesome, man! Glad to hear! :)
I really want to get renewed galaxy buds for 50 bucks but I'm not sure if I want to trust it because it has a good rating, however the reviews say to buy with caution and some people have bad reviews
Can i return it if bought it from out the US?
I Just bought a fan and i looked like they dumpster dived to get the product. Box looked bad. The item was scuffed and did not work.
What is/was the battery capacity when you received the product?
I’m assuming the battery is new... it behaves like new and in the “battery health” section of the settings there are no readings before my delivery date.
Isaac Lundgren Artist Composer gotcha 👌🏼
why does the ipad 7th renewed is expensive then original one ?
Because it's an antique.
Anybody who has and displays the 6 part Pride and Prejudice is alright by me.
I noticed that! 😄
Did you also get the additional warranty? Is it still working like new, I'm also considering getting one renewed to save money during college.
Are all the Ipads there used before? I mean like someone has been used it for 10 months, then he or she sold it to the amazon then amazon renewed it?
Probably not, they look like returned items, so someone had it for less than 30 days.
@@tubro007 Ok great 🤝 thnx
Hey ,
Is it refurbished by apple or by an another company?
by amazon themselves
Third party reseller. Probably from a pallet of returned electronics.
This relieves me because I'm about to get an iphone 8 plus from them but I was concerned that it was really sketchy. To be honest I'm still kind if skeptical but I will try them out
Hey, did you try it out? And if you did does it work well?
Euphoria i ended up buying an 8 plus from my friend. So no sadly.
@@Chrimillo oh that's alright
When I shop around for an ipad I don’t see the protection plan option
My iPad Air said it jus costed a dollar but I’m not sure I can trust it, can I? I really have to know
yes
Great Video!
I am also looking to buy it refurbished from Amazon!
ANY PROBLEM DID YOU FACED TILL NOW?
Thank you!
No problems, even now. :)
Just one correction to this very helpful video:
I had a TERRIBLE experience with AppleCare.
I spent tire hour reading this comment
What specific seller was it from?
BuySpry, but I bought another product from them that had a faulty screen manifest after a few days, so it’s hit and miss. There was no trouble returning the faulty item. I bought the second item again from a different seller and it was fine. (I cant remember the name of the second seller, sorry).
Isaac Lundgren Artist Composer did the batteries both come with 100% health?
The iPhone with the faulty screen had 100% battery health. The replacement iPhone with no problems has 93% battery health. I’ve checked it every week for 2 months (with regular daily use) and it’s still at 93%. The iPad Pro has no way to check battery health as iPad OS does not have that information available in the settings (please don’t insist that info is there, it’s not, I’ve been around and around this topic before with many RUclips commenters). But, to me, the battery performance seems to be fine, and the Amazon Renewed program requires it to be at least 80% or its not eligible for the program to begin with.
Isaac Lundgren Artist Composer alright thanks for the responses
No problem.
you look like michael cera from superbad grew up
I'm thinking about buying an galaxy watch active 2(renewed) and I wasnt sure about it,but I'm gonna give it a try.
My sister bought a samsung computer a couple months ago,and so far everything has been working just fine,so I think it is reliable to buy renewed stuff from amazon
I bought a renewed one and it was overall on excellent condition.
IM SOLD!!gonna give it a try in about a week but I'm gonna get the maximum warranty they offer for a peice of mind that's for making the vid.
I bought from BUYSPRY my display was messed up. Be sure to really inspect your item
IMO if you are shopping for apple products I would just go with apple refurbished. It’s a bit b more expensive but you know what you are getting, 1st party parts and a 1 yr warranty.
@SEPTILE74 They were fulfilled by amazon. He bought from the same company as I did.
Why are there two Tyler hellmigs
@@JustNuggie Probably same reason there are two Chicken Nuggets
@@tubro007 chicken nugget isnt a rare name tho
30 days only for returns will always be shady. But, my s3 watch(didnt pay astronomical full charge) is still functioning at 100% so I cant complain.
I love the Gospel Library app on your device! The church is true!
I saw that Gospel Library app
Still working well ?
Yep. :)
What is the battery health now
Im realizing now that Apple no longer lets you check the battery health since iOS 12... that’s why I’m having trouble giving everyone a straight answer.
Isaac Lundgren Artist Composer you def still can. Go to settings> battery> battery health
I’m telling you, it’s not there man... only shows my usage percentages from day to day. No longer gives a battery health percentage.
@@ArtistComposer You are right, it is under my iphone settings but not my ipad. It would require another app for that info, dumb that apple didn't show that with their ipads but they weren't in the throttling issue. I am thinking of ordering an ipad through amazons renewed page and appreciate this video.
Press it longer dude hahaha
Yep. 👍 The older Apple Devices didn’t need the button held down so long. I’m up to speed now, thanks.
¿Cuál es la carga de la batería? Le ponen una nueva?? Gracias
80% o mejor.
why didn’t you just get apple referbished? way better
Renewed for me was hundreds cheaper than Apple Certified Refurbished... $$$
