I have 2 dogs and have been around them my whole life I have two labs and when I pet them well they are eating they wag there tail, it's just a puppy thing that they bite you
And, take him out alot to potty, so he knows he has to potty outside

I just got a new Maltipoo myself, Rocco. I'm a new puppy mommy too and I have gone though all this in the last 3 weeks. My little booger also had tapeworm and I about lost my mind, but the vet was great and told me it wasn't a big deal. He's super cute, good luck!
The way my dog learned to sit was by pressing down on his butt while saying sit and he learned

Oh man I know that feeling of staying up all night watching over your dog. I don't think I got any sleep when I had to do it. Nerves were shot all to pieces from it. But luckily she was alright the next day acting herself. Just hope the little guy is all right and a handful of energy the next day.

I'm a vet technician. His belly is bloated because of the worms but that will go away once the all the worms are gone. Just keep giving the medication and make sure he's eating and drinking normally. As long as he's eating and drinking he will be fine. If he stops drinking you will have to take him to the vet to get fluids. You can also check his gums to make sure they are pink. You don't want them to be pale or any other color than pink :) also If you have a thermometer you can check to make sure he doesn't have a fever. Good temperature for dogs is in between 100 and 103. Good luck! He's adorable! And I'm sure he will be just fine!
youre not supposed to bathe him everyday. if the vet said it was right then its okaym but you only bathe them once a month

Yeah, they might have bathed him on different days, but you're not supposed to bathe your dog every day. Like once a month or even less is good. Washing takes away all the good bacteria that they need.
No for most dogs you're supposed to bathe them every 2 weeks. It depends on the breed.
I'm A Human not true. if you bathe them too often they loose their oils in their fur. also it makes their skin to dry thats why its recommended once a month or once every 3 weeks

Puppies will get even lower immune system when getting a bath when they feel bad. It is will make it worse. Hope he will get well soon. There is nothing more worrying than if your dog doesn't feel well.
Try to boil some sort rice with some chicken or pork to clean his stomach. It always used to help my dogs on diarrhea. And no more treats before he feels okay. That can make his stomach even more in pain.

Don't worry too much about the worms/bloating, we went through the same thing and it cleared up in a few weeks with the medicine :)
Justine! You are doing great! My previous puppy had worms, but with medicine and regular diet, it gets better a lot faster then you think it would. Great job on the training!

I am not expert but I think you and Matt should visit the vet daily just to checkup up on him since he has the worms in his belly. And if you notice he isn't breathing well or his urine or poop isn't looking well I recommended to loon up is it normal for a puppy to have yellow poop or whatever might be the case and you are taking such great take of him and make sure he knows you are the boss but like as in mother and son relationship so like give him a treat when he behaves well in situations he would be barking and remember to always Check the ingredients in the dog food or treats you buy for DJ Matt and give Matty/Mattie lots and lots of love💕

Put a small toy in his food bowl so he can struggle eating its not to be mean its so that he will eat slower and not get a twisted stomach and also for the training you first have to teach him what the clicker means for an example you have to click it and if he looks at you eye to eye then you give him a treat then you move on to the sit and other tricks you want to teach him. well hope he gets better. :)
Something I did when I got my puppies was, after putting them in their crate to go to sleep we would put a blanket over the crate to decrease stimulation and they wouldn't whine as much throughout the night. I think we also would sometimes turn a fan on in the room where thy would sleep
If you want to teach your dog "sit" tell them "sit" multiple times and push gently on their lower back and keep doing this until you let them try by themselves and keep doing it until they learn.
My first dog was a Pomeranian and he cried all the time in his first weeks with us. To comfort him we put a small ticking clock inside of a stuffed animal so that he would think that it was a beating heart when he goes to sleep by himself at night. Also leaving an article of clothing that you do not use anymore will comfort him by having your scent with him in his crate.
This has worked for all of my doggies. I have currently a 3 year old Golden Retriever, and a 13 year old Labrador Retriever. Sadly the Pomeranian passed away four years ago, but all dogs go to heaven :))

Watching this makes me really happy my girl is now 3. When she was a puppy I lost 3 pillows, 1 pair of sheets and lets not even talk about the potty accidents. So much easier to handle the older pups that's for sure.

One of the biggest ways to have any dog listen to you is to Show them love, and to give them your attention. Dogs are loyal if you show love to them. Matt has already show you love by claiming you.

I got myself a puppy last year, mine was really nice. He slept from 10 pm to 10 am, the time he as only awake was to eat and go out to do his things. the ebst tips is not to worry too much, he can feel that. Just take it as it comes, then he might sleep all night
Just please don't let this keep you from wanting to keep him! it's hard at first, but he will get better, and so will you! He just has to learn! We can see how happy he makes you! I love my dog so much! I'm happy you have got this little guy!

It's ok ijustine, he's going to be alright, tapeworms are really common on dogs all they need is their medicine and in no time you won't be able to handle that little guy, he'll be running around like crazy!!!!

A few puppy tips...
When you are teaching sit put the treat closer to his face and use the treat to lure him onto his butt. I noticed he was trying to reach for the treat which was only making him frustrated and I'm sure you were frustrated as well Also, The clicker only works if you click immediately when his butt hits the ground! Also, I would recommend cutting up the bigger treats so it is easier for him to eat it! There are many training videos here on youtube as well that will be a good visual while you are learning which training methods work best. I am glad to see you are kennel training as well! As hard as it is, you must resist the urge to take him out of the kennel whenever he starts crying. If you take him out when he starts crying he will learn that you take him out whenever he cries, barks etc and kennel training will not be successful! Ps he is so adorable cant wait to watch him grow up with you! Hope his little tummy is feeling better!

When my puppy was little she used to have upset stomach often too. We used just a little pumpkin paste it just helped settle her stomach, and made her poop a bit more normal hopefully that helps.

He is adorable and he will get the hang of the sit thing in no time ! Sometimes when your dog is having tummy problems it is good to feed them plain rice instead of the regular food ( don't put salt in the water when boiling it either ) but as he is very small you may not want to feed him anything but his regular food I case it throws him off. I would ask your vet before doing anything but it worked allot when my doggy was a bit older
