There should really be a subject in school about happiness or staying calm with tips like this shown to the students.
    Fuck, that would be amazing.

It`s good that you do offer that although it should be apart of the school curriculum. Many disturbed youth or kids who could benefit immensely from things like this. No doubt this technique along with a class on happiness, motivational, fighting depression etc would save x amount of lives.

Here in the UAE they kind of teach that sometimes in Moral education but it’s really shitty and just used to make the education system here look ‘revolutionary’ or something. I mean overall the stuff they teach is just for that.

Right? My school keeps talking about mental health yet don't actually do anything about it other than letting us fill questions and answers about our personal lives, which is something that others clearly aren't bold enough to reveal.

    1. Prepare: take a deep breath and focus breathing into our stomach then exhale fully, force the air out. Do 2-3 more times.
    2. Focus in deep breating for 4 sec, hold breath 4 sec, exhale 4 sec, then hold 4 sec.

This technique is so simple and yet so effective. I work as a retail supervisor, I tried this tonight as it was labor day weekend (always ridiculously busy and irate customers) and i broke my record for fewest "f-bombs" on a shift with 0. For the first time in nearly 12 years I've finally learned how to relax. Thank you, you may have saved me from a massive heart attack. 😁

Thanks.

This is the best book I have ever read - nay - experienced. Crisp points saying the things perhaps you know, but from totally different perspectives. I have heard lots of discourses on spirituality, but they remained just that - discourses. It is in fact a crime to think that this is spirituality because it is not: it is the way everyone of us needs to live.
I completed the book in a couple of days of reading end-to-end. I knew this is a treasure which needed to be read in pieces still couldn't resist finishing - that is first reading of course.
I have now started reading in small pieces with full contemplation as advised by Mr. Anderson
One thing for sure: this is one book which must be read over & over again. Years of conditioning needs to be weaved away ever so gently.
New beginning awaits you. There is no age to begin. I am spreading the book purely because I don't want people to miss such a vital opportunity that they can ever get in their life. And before death.
Spread the message, gift the book if you can. I am sure you can.
p.s. name of this book is "kit for emotional stability" by Daniel Anderson

This sounds helpful, but idk if I've got time to box breathe while bullets are flying lol. One thing I found immediately useful is to pay attention to your peripheral vision in moments of stress. It helps prevent tunnel vision and supposedly helps activate your parasympathetic nervous system and vagus nerve (the systems that calm you down).

Keeping calm comes from keeping calm in your base--at all times. I tell my subscribers that a way to stay calm is to avoid triggers. And I am someone who battled anger for decades. There are also daily things you can do. Physical fitness is key because that unwinds the mind as well as the fitness part. Then I add a "Mind Workout." Fifteen minutes when I come home from the gym. It can be yoga, tai chi or whatever meditative art suits you. On top of which I add habits that take no time at all. Slowing your breathing when talking to someone who is starting to aggravate you. Avoiding media that amps you up--including some music if that does it for you. But you practice this daily and soon you will develop a new neuro program in your wiring and calmness will become a part of you. Hope that helps---Charles

As a young boy with a bad case of ADHD and minor autism, it is very hard to stay calm rather than to act up and go wild. I appreciate videos like this that help me conquer my everyday life so it isn’t as much of a challenge. Videos like this make me confident in my ability to live, rather than to survive.

Actual SEALs do use this, but they mainly go at life with a particular mindset that helps them stay calm. From what I've heard, those mindsetS are "I'll die before I quit", "I'll most likely die, let's do it", and "I'm unbeatable". So basically, they're confident as shit and they don't care about negative outcomes (to themsleves).
