I think I'm slowly starting a tradition that every 4 years someone here writes a comment. 😆 High five for an already 8 year old boy 😁 Oh no. XD I just read the comment carefully and the boy is already 17 years old. Anyway, I'm counting on you to respond too I think I'm slowly starting a tradition that every 4 years someone here writes a comment high five for me and you have no more than 4 years to do so. Don't be late xd
I'm hearing and my husband is Deaf. I appreciate seeing other hearing/Deaf couples that communicate well and enjoy each other's company. Good job keeping it real, you guys!
I got pulled here from recommended videos, watched your latest upload and I find your content is interesting to watch! So I have decided to watch from the first video. P.S. You guys are such a cute duo! Keep loving each other~
I think part of that may be from confusion about legal issues. Gonna be honest here--it was something I was confused about, because I know with hearing people you can and will get pulled over if they know you have headphones/earbuds in. They want you to be able to hear surrounding sirens. But that is someone purposely dimming a sense they previously had, and those with earbuds in are often very distracted, while deaf people have to be on the lookout for sirens, medical personnel and police officers in their mirrors. Deaf people can get distracted/drive recklessly too of course, but still. It was an interesting learning experience. I also learned that it is legal and OK for people with vision in only one eye to drive--that was also interesting and cool!
This was something I learned about a while ago, and I now follow Rikki Poynter who is a huge Deaf RUclipsr that is very informing for the hearing community about what it's like to be d/Deaf and HOH. I'm glad I've found another channel that has someone deaf in the spotlight :)
Robert Cupedro i think its a fair question seeing as honking can in certain situations be an important part of driving and also signing while driving could definitely be dangerous
Southpaw, It is not illegal to drive with headphones/earbuds on (at least in my area) but just frowned upon. This is actually part of the reason emergency vehicles have excessive flashing lights, so people who are playing loud music or what not can see the emergency vehicle, not only hear them. :)
Pah. Vlogs on Deaf/Hearing couple ! I love it !!!!! We are Deaf/Hearing Married couple for 32 years ! ! Ask us for our advises on the relationship between Deaf/ Hearing couple .. Have fun making vlogs !!! God bless you both !
I myself am not deaf but my nephew is. He became deaf after a battle with meningitis. It was a huge struggle because before he would love to talk and hear stories of his "favorite auntie". After I learned he could no longer hear, I dedicated the past few years to learning sign language. The first time signed with after so long without being able to hear me, he gave me a hug and started to cry. Since then I've been trying to find channels like yours to better understand what my nephew would likely be going through. Thank you
I love this so much. My boyfriend's dad and brother are deaf, so I want to start learning sign language to be able to communicate with them, it's very hard not being able to. You guys are such an inspiration!❤
That is fantastic, you guys!!! Tezi and I just watched it and we're fans! I'm impressed with your great sense of timing and video editing skills. Nice work, E - very very cool! Thank you for telling us about it!
I just found you guys today and I'm DEFINITELY going to be a subscriber ^_^! I'm hearing and taking ASL classes. I love ASL and I'm glad there are hearing and Deaf couples out there like you guys who are just living life normally :)
I'm a new subscriber maybe a month ago... I found this channel on Facebook and I was just so amazed by the both of you, so yeah... had to find your first vid and at 3:41, you two are just so cute! ♥
Fantastic video. Here in Australia the deff signs with both hands. I have herd that in the USA they sign with one hand and i saw it on your video. I met a bus driver that she was 100% so she went off and she got cockney hearing ear plants and she had to learned how to speak and she drives a public transit bus with them. She signs to the deff passengers when she gets some deff passengers. The stories she has told me are incredible.
Had to come back to the beginning ever since I caught up with your more recent vlogs. I started watching about a week ago and that the past year or so vlogs and now I’m starting at the beginning!!! Just love watching you guys 😊
you're make me happy when i watch its natural in relationship and prove the other people wrong, all the same relationship as deaf and hearing couples and would lke to know i love to see you more in video and looking forward to see you in video. and I am open minds and dont matter to me as long who is he is deaf or hearing :) Look great video and keep it up :)
Y'all are very inspirational. I just subscribed because I'm in a similiar situation as of recently and its a little scary for me to be honest. Being so new to signing
Holy crap you guys are ageing like Fine Wine! , Saw the first video(Most recent video Uploaded) in my recommended and wanted to see the very last (First ever Video uploaded) I hope you guys keep making more content, RUclips needs more content creators like this! Not always about being good or talented at something but sharing life experiences with people who can relate to you! If that makes any sense, hopefully not offensive, Not that you aren't talented
oh my gosh this is so cute! Ellen, how did you learn to sign so well? Did you grow up signing or learn later in life? Ryan is so funny! (edamame and green beans :P)
I am Deaf and I think they are cute when they are together but I am afraid that they did not sign very well because she uses SimCom which is not natural for ASL or American Sign Language. SimCom means when you talk and sign.
+Emely Rodriquez I don't think it's fair to judge her signing based off this video, because she was talking to the video camera for her hearing audience members. I think it would be easier to see whether or not she is good at asl when it's just her and her husband.
I'm glad she used SimCom because I liked hearing her speak as well. This is the first time I've seen their channel and I'm subscribing because I'm so impressed by them :)
I am glad that you asked this question because that is very important. Unfortunately, the answer is no because they might use English orders when they sign which is not also natural for ASL. in fact, ASL has their own grammar structures like other foreign languages. I think it would be great to record their voice instead of using SimCom. SimCom harms our natural language because sadly many don't recognize true ASL. It has been deprived for many years but as for now, more people accept Deaf culture and natural language. it is improving gradually. I see a progress but we're not done yet. It is so important to be aware of different cultures before you or do something. It would great for you to research this if you are interested. I hope you understand that :D
I am in one of those relationships where i married someone with 10% hearing, but after that realized he cant read, write, doesnt drive, doesnt lip read well, doesnt know how to sign, nd the family was just doing that for him - writing his watsapp msgs to me. It is a shock for me who is trying hard in comparison to someone who is not at all - i am hearing, and i disregarded everything, hoping he also would like company, bur he dpesnt want to try nd our conversations end after my day is ok. God bless. Take care. I wish it is as easy aa this video but wishing u guys great luck, love and life.
+Sign Duo we have been together for about a year and a half and still going steady. You are the only other hearing and deaf couple I've ever talked to so it is very cool to see how you two bond and act towards each other.
I just gotta say that you are so cute and I love your videos, so now I'm starting from the beginning to see your journey and learn more how to sign😊 I think signing is really cool and I'm sad that I can't learn it at school😞 Anyway, I love you and I wish you all the best guys♥️ By the way, I learned how to sign hamburger, thanks for that😎♥️
I am a new subscriber and I also live in the OC! I hope to run into you guys someday! I love your energy, and the message you spread ❤️ I work with kids with autism and other disabilities and your videos have helped me learn some essential signs to teach my non verbal kiddos and help them express themselves. I can’t thank you enough!
i dont know any deaf people but i know a lot of ASL, so i dont know any of the cultural "isms" that actual deaf ppl do so when he signed "ahhhhh" in the car at 3:25 the same way i do it made me very happy haha
I love the video and can't wait for the Q&A. I saw you looking at the cameras in the video. Nikon is the best because the lenses are interchangeable. example, I have D3300 and my sister has D3200 and we can use eachother things. Vs. other brands, you have to buy all new when you get a new one
color a lot of times can be fixed in editing. I do like cannon, but money wise... nikon is the better choice. If I had my own studio (which I plan on) I would get a cannon and have my nikon's too.
Who here is watching the 1st video because this couple is so cute 😋

there is a deaf girl I really like, but she is extremely shy.i don't know how to approach her
Manny Ortiz Say Hi, just like you would with a hearing girl. Maybe smile too?
Manny Ortiz wright her a note "hi I think your really cute want to go for coffee" and leave your number so she can text you
interact with her through sign language, i'm sure she'd appreciate that you've learned it just to approach her
Manny Ortiz Sign with here, learn some basic phrases. Kne of which includes. My signing sucks right now.
Manny Ortiz You can write her a note
you guys have grown so much.
i love you guys both, stay safe
yall are CUTE.. and i really liked his sense of humor too. hope you guys have a great life
"Wait, Deaf People can drive?!" Hate when people say that. Got that on a date with a deaf friend of mine..
I think part of that may be from confusion about legal issues. deaf can drive semi trucker with long trailer or double trailers as I do but cant be a polit - hearing must even transit bus - hearing must oh well
