    Had mine for 6yrs and see now that stepping on it to make a curve is the best way. Thanks!!

    Making the curve for this pathway video was the reason why watched I wish you had shown detail of how the curve looked after you removed the form. A dead blowhammer would also be better than stepping on it much less messy.

    Tip the mixture from the mixer into the barrow and then tip over the mold, also tip the concrete from the bag straight into the mixer

    Some nice ideas here.
    Looks to me though you have make the classic mistake of not placing the next form snug against the last set of stones. This leaves a larger gap between forms and makes the sparation of forms sets more obvious. These are designed to be placed right up against the last set to make a seemless pattern.
    Good tip to flip each form 90° so that there is no regularity to the pattern.
    And your idea to overlay the form over the last set of stones to make a curve is also a neat trick.
    Thanks for taking the effort to make this video.

    I love these paving molds , you can also use them to stamp concrete , it’s much cheaper than a silicone stamp

    If you mix your concret properly you should not have to let it sit you should he able to remove the form right away.

    Easy and simple are not the same. This is a simple project but nothing involving concrete Is easy.

    Which form is this, where to get it Whats the width?

    • @jameslester4474
      @jameslester4474 3 года назад +3

      It's a Pathmate form. Quikrete calls them "Walkmaker".They sell them at Lowe's , or on line. They are 24" by 24". You rotate the form 90 degrees every time to vary the path look, and just butt the form up to the last set of formed stones. If you don't mix so dry, they are much easier to use, notice how I said " so dry" that doesn't mean make soup. Also the Colorant she is using can be cut to 1/2 per 80Lb bag, if you don't need such a intense color.

    I HIGHLY recommend anyone think twice before installing this type that has the rounded upper edges, If you use it a lot it gets wearisome on the feet.

    • @WintersHavenHomestead
      @WintersHavenHomestead 2 года назад +2

      @Barbara T She should have taken a 2 x 4 and screeded it off so that the stones weren't rounded but that the extra concrete was moved off so the stones were level. It looks better and is much easier to walk on. It also reduces the amount of concrete needed and keeps the form cleaner for the next one.
