I figured it out guys. If you need to scan a document, you need to go to windows settings, go to device and click printer settings, next to printer settings there is scanner settings. Click scanner settings and click "get the scanner app for microsoft" download the app and start scanning! "You might have to reload the app after you download it". Basically you can only use the scanner function on the computer this way. It didn't work for me on the MF utility, it kept giving me error messages. And also didn't work when i use the scan functions on the printer itself. GL Guys
This video is useless. FTR, Enable the WSD Scan setting on your printer network settings via web IP portal, and enable network discovery on the PC. I was able to see the computer in the Scan to Computer. If you don't, then try rebooting both devices. I did this for a Canon Color ImageClass MF642Cdw. Settings/Registration: Preferences: Network Settings > WSD Settings -> Edit -> Enable "Use WSD Scanning" and Enable "Use Computer Scanning" Hope this helps someone.
Hey Canon - how about addressing the issue here - need to know how to scan TO windows computer, not FROM windows computer. The comment has been up 2 months and Canon has not provided a response. Must be no pulse at Canon.
but is there a way that the scanner scans on pc? If I scan from pc it works but I cannot scan from scanner. It says that the pc is not connected... I mean the same PC on which the printer saves the documents while scanning from pc
@@dianabartha7886 After trial-&-error on drivers & full reboot & different method of calling for the scan....I did get it to work, but only scan-from-pc. That was ~5months ago and I dare not mess with it. I empathize with your plight, but (sadly) I can offer no real help. Good luck.
@@edhuber3557 thank you for the prompt response. I must admit that I was afraid of that answer. I did not find a thing on the internet that works. It works from PC but from printer to scan on pc .... patience searching. Good luck!

How to scan a document from my Canon MF Color ImageClass MF733Cdw to my Windows 10 computer into a PDF file, or if I want into a JPF file?

Scanner no longer works with the latest Windows 10 update🤦♂
WARNING: Canon MF printer/scanners are buggy. (You'll spend hours, and your 'fix' may not hold long.)
