Hey man, thank you for the review! I’m the designer behind the belt. I just want to touch on a couple things that you mentioned in the video.
    1. I offer a larger size belt now that accommodates 36 inch to 48 inch pants size.
    2. Regarding your back pain from the elastic, I think the larger size will help mitigate that because you’re not relying on as much elastic as you would be in the regular size. The large belt has more rigid area.
    3. Elastic was a big concern when I initially designed the belt and I went through many different iterations of prototypes, figuring out which elastic is going to hold the longest. The production elastic has held strong for over four years on one of my prototypes my estimation for lifetime is 7 to 10 years.
Thanks again! I appreciate the support!

Hey Hunter, thank you for the comment. It’s not everyday the designer of one of my product reviews gets back to me! Says a lot about you and that you believe in your product. It was actually your video that got this belt on my radar.
If this RUclips channel starts making more money I might have to try out your bigger belt. Let’s be honest, my PE teacher salary doesn’t give me much wiggle room for fun gear lol.
And thank you for the information on the elastic that is very helpful. I will make sure to include that if I do another video on this belt.
I hope you are making more products down the line bc this one is awesome!

You should make a belt with no elastic but the same adjustment style since everyone makes belts that double over in the from right where you'd put your gun or use velcro that's wears out.

Try out the Tenicor Zero belt. It doesn't have the elastic, and I think it's easy to put on and take off... the way that it adjusts, it's better than the ones that uses the ratchet system. And if you use the 2-layer belt system from time to time, you can get the Zero inner belt. I've had mine for a couple of months and it's been great.

I still use my good old fashioned leather gunbelts, partly because almost none of the tactical gunbelt manufacturers make belts big enough. Plus, the support is critical for me after two back surgeries and permanent damage (that's why I had to quit carrying .45 acp pistols edc, just too big and heavy). But great video, and love the shirt! It's how our daughters (and their moms) mark their territory, I think. 😂. God bless you and your fam, brother! -Dan

I have the same back issues as you with this belt, I have a size 32 inch waist that ordered a regular with a bad back. Although the elastic helped with the hot spots on my hip, it made my back issue worse while carrying. The elastic makes the back pain while carrying worse while also creating a hot spot on my back with the plastic portion of the belt that’s used to adjust the size. I do like this belt though.. I just can’t carry it to the point where it’s cinched down to obtain maximum concealment.

After testing I can say that Tier1 ratchet belt is a much better choice for everyday cc with how it supports my glock and how it adjusts to your exact size on the fly, when you do it, its like magic. The S belt not enough support and never fits me quite right. Just for my money.

    • @MichiganDad
      @MichiganDad  Год назад +1

Yea I’ve tried it tight and loose. I just feel the elastic gives me a different kind of pressure on my back. I kind of like a slightly stiffer belt. I use the foundation belt from edc belt co and I love the design of it but just not a fan of the Velcro.

Great video and review. I'm subscribing. I agree with your assessment and I've left this comment before on another review of this belt and I have to leave it here too because I wish I would have heard this before spending $120 on this belt.
I've been wearing this belt for almost two months and here are the pros and cons for me.
    Pro:
I hurt my back in a motorcycle accident, and this is the most comfortable CCW belt I've ever worn. That elastic back strap is a game changer for me. That's the only pro.
    Cons:
The price is really high (I paid $120 from Hunter's site). It should be $60'ish at most. Even that is steep.
The lack of a buckle. I get it that it was designed to be able to slip through belt loops, but this closure type is archaic. There is no reason for that odd choice when we know what else is out there. I've been using the Kore for years so I love the micro adjustments. I'd even prefer the old school pin style belt buckle. I don't want to say this is stupid, but it's about as accurate a word as I can think of.
The lack of easy adjustment while out and about. Again, compared to the Kore ratchet style of buckle and adjustability, this seems ridiculous. It's a giant step back in technology. With the Kore I would loosen it when I would sit, and tighten it when I would stand. It was always one discreet adjustment away from perfect. With this belt I'd have to find a private room if I needed to adjust my belt to not show my gun.
I love the elastic so much I kept trying to wear it and get used to it, but I've switched back to my Kore belt. My back feels so much better when wearing this belt that I think I'm going to try and make something myself by combining my Kore belt with this one. I'll probably just end up ruining two belts, but I have to do something because this belt is too expensive to just leave hanging in my closet. Maybe I was just expecting too much because I have been in such need of a belt that didn't hurt my back. And that price is just too much for such a fail with the buckle and adjustment system. Sorry to be so negative but $120 is really a lot of money to me and if I can help just one person in my financial situation, it's worth it.

It sounds like.youre cranking it down way too tight. You said you set it to comfort without a holster, then add the bulk of a holster AND tighten it down. Then you say it is adding pressure. Maybe try having it be comfortable when carrying and not crank it down. The rigidity up front should be adequate to support the hilster without it being too tight, I would think.
