I like that Ratburn has a poster of an airplane in his classroom simply labeled "fly".
Simple. Poetic. Motivational.
Indeed. Small, but wonderful details to look for.
Hey man that dang ol airplane goes whoo whoo it jes flies zoom zoom thru the game man like "dodododododododododewdewdewdewddewdadodo"
Matthew Jones LOL
Fly and don't crash in burn seriously that would be bad
I enjoy the poster of a sea turtle titled "giant sea creature".
That owl lamp was killin' it, though.

Arthur is probably the only kid to dedicate his free time to studying for a spelling bee, and spell a word oh-so completely wrong.
I was not Preparareprapratraed for how funny this was going to be
Wait a minute - Francine Frensky was ahead of Buster Baxter in line, despite Ratburn telling them to get in alphabetical order. Is Ratburn even qualified to be a teacher?
The qualailiqiuation system is broken.
Also isn't Arthur's last name Reed? I haven't watched the show since I was like 6 though so I don't remember for sure.
#conspiracy
+randman It is
+randman I think it's alphabetical by first name

The Arthur living book is really weird, because it's a combination of two Arthur stories. The first half is actually Arthur's Teacher Trouble (which ends with the kids finding out that Mr Ratburn is actually a really cool guy, if not a hell of a teacher), and then the last part is Arthur's Spelling Trubble (spelled that way purposefully).
8-bit animation with cinematic cameras. That's genuinely impressive.
That's not 8-bit at all.

+Benjamin Woodham nope it realy is bearenstain, i remember it being bearenstein to but its not.
I'll bet it took a lot of preparareprapratraion to make this video.
YOU WATCH BRUTLEMOOSE?!?!
"Everyone's friends again and they see a rainbow. The end." Ending to every story ever.
***** Same with Silence of the Lambs
Anne Frank was practically puking rainbows, and the best part it was real. Happy endings are great.
Arthur's work ethic is stronger than my will to live
I love your avatar!
where did you get it?
+John Square It's the main character from a Gamecube game called Custom Robo. They have all these silly little portraits and I thought this one would be perfect for an avatar.
+VacuumCoffee that's genius, thanks for the idea. One of my top three games of all time
You're will to live is stronger than mine. And that's saying something because you have no reason to live anyway.
VacuumCoffee I know, I love Custom Robo!
I really want the one of harry with paw prints in the background
6:35 - I can't describe the need for a gif of Arthur's awkward hipthrusting.

If Mr. Ratburn really had all the students file out in alphabetical order, they done goofed. Arthur was in front of Francine, who was in front of Buster, who was in front of the Brain.
Dumbass kids
Maybe it was by last names?
+JonnyLikesGames87 I'm so glad this really bothered someone else!!
+JonnyLikesGames87 Yeah. Alan should've been first. Except, I think in the show it was alphabetical by surname. I don't quite remember. In which case Buster would've been first. Probably. Does anyone remember Alan's surname?
Apparently it was Powers. So here Mr Ratburn just fucked up on all counts. Probably turned out to not even be his class.
In third grade we had a spelling bee, so i misspelled balloon on purpose to B-A-L-U-N-E. and was immediately disqualified. i played with my pokemon cards for the rest of the hour.
+Josh Korte Ah, the Brian Regan way of getting out of spelling bees.
I always wanted to do a spelling bee, and then in grade 8 we did. And it ended after half the class fucked up in 3 rounds. TIME. UTTERLY. WASTED.
+Josh Korte Provincial spelling bee. The word was 'premium'....g-d *premium*!
Um...While the narrator does say that Ratburn dismissed classes in alphabetical order, the students are blatantly not lined up that way, whether it's based on first names or last. It's not even in reverse alphabetical order or anything, no matter how you look at it.
Arthur Read
Francine Frensky
Buster Baxter
Allen Powers (The Brain)
And Binky Barnes is nowhere to be seen, even though he should logically be right next to Buster no matter what the order is. There's absolutely no pattern here at all.
Bob Stayoffthegrass guess it was a error
I read Allen powers as alien powers and i was really confused for a bit
Is his name really allen powers? 😂
Wait, The Brain actually has a canonical name?
THANK YOU. This bugged the crap outta me when I noticed it.
mom: how did you possibly get -5% on your spelling test?
me: I spelled every word wrong
including my name.
sounds like me during school XD
Wait, you did so bad you OWE points?

I can tell that this video took a lot of preparareprapratraion thank you for the hard work!

"Stay inside and avoid the real world" would have been a pretty good living book, in hindsight.
But what did we use to say?
Hindsight is 20/20!
If we just would have known how ironic that would become.

Oh my god. I haven't seen one of those in YEARS. I still remember playing Green Eggs and Ham, and The Cat in the Hat on my mom's old computer when I was little.
Wait, you mean the classic story of "Ian Plays a Sex Game" was never adapted into a Children's book?
"Ian Stays Inside and Avoids the Real World"

preparareprapraptraion is my favorite word
I'm starting to think that BrutalMoose should have spelled out "Patreon" during the "Preparation" part as a subliminal message.
Prepararepraprapraion should be a word in the dictionary.

Daaaaang that animation in The Berenstain Bears was SICK! I really love the use of total animation (when the whole frame is animated, instead of cell).

This could have been the name of this channel.
But i guess "brutal" fits the rough and vicious content of this channel.
The living books I had were Green Eggs and Ham, Cat in the Hat, & Arthur's Reading Race. I remember playing a demo of the Stellaluna book and it scared the shit out of me.
2? sounds like 3
+Adam Meyers I never was the best at math
+Patrick Hale Arthur's Reading Race was great
I had the ABC book with a sampler of Tortoise and the Hare, Arthur’s Birthday and Teacher Trouble, The Berenstain Bears Get Into A Fight, and Stellaluna.
I had the Green Eggs and Ham one, too!
If Mr. Ratburn is making his class leave in alphabetical order, then why is Francine Frensky in between Arthur Read and Buster Baxter? That's not how the alphabet works.
Thank You I was hoping someone else noticed that

Your high quality editing never ceases to amaze me Ian, it's really refreshing with a RUclips...person who adds so much variety to the mandatory intros and outros, it's never something you skip because you know what's going to happen or something you just sit through in the hopes that maybe there is something interesting waiting at the end. With you videos, Ian, the outro IS the interesting thing and so is the rest of your video, because let's be honest, your videos are the best videos out there, and in here and... well anywhere you would even try to hide a video your videos would still outperform any video, no contest, not a second of hesitation, Ian, YOU..are winner. You are winner of making the best videos and no one can take that away from you.
Why do I see no comments about the freaking dancing and singing owl statue
It's self-explanitory.
OMG I didn't even notice it the first time I watched the video
Am I the only one who was kinda reminded by the old owl dude in Money Town?
For my whole life, I thought it was Berenstein Bears. My life is a lie!
It is and isn't. Younger me was about as confused as you are; the only difference between younger me and older me is that older me spends all his time on Fallout, and therefore has none left to spend on caring.
It is Berenstein, it HAS to be! The government/illuminati is changing history on us, don't let them!
THE MANDELA EFFECT
Spoiler alert: The Mandela Effect is nothing more than word of mouth instilling an incorrect memory into the general public as fact.
Same. My grandma said it stein as well
Please, do even more Living Books! I grandly enjoy your adventures and reviews of them!
Man this takes me back. I still have a couple of these somewhere buried in the house after moving houses when I was younger. Ahhh, the memories.
that owl was clearly an only child.
An only child who's done with his parents getting into arguments all too often.
Dam, the production...every episode I watch I enjoy more, you deserve way more attention man, keep up the good work!
My childhood :')
I hope these show up on steam. They did it for some classics
I would totally snap them up in a heartbeat if they do! 🤑😍🥰
This man deserves so much more recognition.

Berenstain Bears depiction of candy in the junk food book always burns bright in my mind. Loved the one with the space bears too or whatever they were called
Shoulda called it "Arthur Moves to Korea"

Get in a Fight, Teacher Trouble and Just Grandma And Me is another big point of nostalgia for me. It was so fun clicking on all the things.
If it wasn't a Living Book then it was probably a Humongous Entertainment game in one way or another when I was young.
Well Ian you might not be in a living book game but at least your in a visual novel
