Had my car coated with Gyeon MOHs+ 4 years ago and it still beads like crazy although where I am the weather is always mild and it hardly ever rains and twice a year I apply wet coat. Still I am impressed with the longevity of Gyeon’s coatings.
IMO this is the only true and best way to test the durability of a coating. Was searching for videos on this coating and came across this. I'm a huge fan of Can Coat and wanted to see other coatings from Gyeon. Looks impressive so far!
Thanks for watching! It's a non traditional way of testing lol. I'm basically beating the ceramic up pretty badly. But it's holding up and I'm impressed. The lack of toppers like wetcoat or cure and it still performed is also impressive. I'm aslo not sponsored by anyone. Just doing a honest review.
So the Cancoat Evo has more overspray contamination staying on the paint? I have a black car and want that deep dark shiny gloss paint. I thought about Cancoat Evo, with a nice price. But saw your video. Do you think Mohs Evo is much better? Or by a margin?...
I put down MOHS Evo (single-layer) about 10 months ago, and I have been doing regular maintenance washes and the car is indoors most of the time. It is performing spectacularly and I see no change in hydrophobics or gloss since the job was first done. I did the application myself and I did not have any difficulty with it. I did learn that it's best to work on a panel at a time, or even 1/3 to 1/2 panel and that it can be leveled out a minute after applying. I used a generous amount of product (50ml was plenty for the whole car though) and did no cross-hatching as it doesn't need it like many coatings do as it's not thin or runny and bonds super-fast. The level of effort for both the application and leveling out was quite minimal; I think the easiest ceramic product I've ever worked with. I use nothing but Gyeon products (except for Hydro2 which I put on my wheels after cleaning) and I did watch a demo of the MOHS install so maybe that's why it was easy for me. Status looks like their work is in the .0001% of detailers!
I just applied Mohs to my new HD ZR2 a week ago. Anxious to see how it does over time. This was my first time using a ceramic. It was super easy to apply and buff out. I washed it for the first time yesterday and I think I need to wash one or two panels at a time now since it sheds the foam off pretty quick even washing indoors. It rained a couple days after coating so just for fun I pulled in my garage and hit some of the truck with a leaf blower. Could have easily cleaned the whole thing off with it. I was impressed.
not many want 2 layer plus coatings. and it can't be finicky so CSL and Carpro UK 3.0 are easy and just as good. even the Pure Evo I like more than Mohs..its glossier and effortless to install can wipe it right off or I even went and c made a sandwich and cans back and leveled it. no issues. coated a suv with 30 mil them coated a Porsche 911 with the 20 ml leftover 2 days later. definately my favorite easy coating to date. Gyeo Pure Evo 🏆
I applied Gyeon Mohs to my new car about four months ago and I love the results--great water behavior and self-cleaning properties. I really like your style and I have subscribed.

@@STATUSDETAIL My car sits outside 24/7, but I wash it once a week and usually apply Cure or Ceramic Detail spray as a topper. I'm recently retired so I have all the time I need to baby the car lol.
I put GYEON CanCoat (older version) on my car, sitting outside 365 days at sun, dust, etc and after a year it beads water like the first day. Yeah, 6 months durability claimed by GYEON lasting 1 year straight. I love this brand!
Very impressed at the Gyeon products able to declog a coating without a very mild clay mitt or water spot remover, I coated my daughters car with Gyeon MOHS EVO about a month ago and will do the first maintenance wash this weekend, it should be academic as I do use Gyeon Foam for sure😂
Looking good. I’m 10 months in with 2 layers Mohs Evo, CanCoat and Cure every 2-3 months on my B9 A4. Looking this good after 8 months, outside, with minimal maintenance tells me I’m good for a long time to come.
@@STATUSDETAIL my experience has been great. The coating performs so well even when really dirty as you showed. The install was silly easy. For me in my garage around 65 degrees I simply applied I’m small sections, put my applicator down , grabbed my two towels and you can see the coating already “sweating” ready to be removed. Upon removing I realize how slick it was , unreal. I also did 2 layers more or less To make sure I covered all areas since my vehicle is white. All in all killer coating so far , we will see how it does in PA winter this year!
@@joerossi4231 glad to hear it!!! Going into that install understanding you have to do a small area I think it's a huge deal because I went into it hoping that I could do large areas like I'm used to and that caused a lot of problems and that was kind of irritating. But as a new buyer of a coating and putting on for the first time if you understand you have to do those small sections then I wouldn't imagine the average person's really going to enjoy the install
@@STATUSDETAIL yea that’s true and I get that. It’s not horrible I did about shoulder width maybe a little more but it still gave me no issues thankfully .
A year ago I put Gyeon pure (pre - evo) and it’s still going strong. One side I went a little thinner than I applied the other side and there’s a slight noticeable difference but it’s still beading well. When topped its almost like it’d last forever.
I did my first install of Mohs 5 weeks ago and my second last week and I must say that I agree wholeheartedly about the installation process. It’s not difficult but nowhere near as pleasant as CSL. I don’t like working in small sections at all. When I do CSL I coat the hood and two panels above the front wheel wells and I’m still able to level effortlessly. That’s not even a consideration with Mohs. But, despite the installation I am impressed with gloss, slickness and self cleaning capabilities from what I’ve seen in such a short amount of time with it. I’ve got Syncro on my car and CSL & ExoV5 on my wife’s SUV. It will be interesting to see which system has the best longevity and overall performance.
@@STATUSDETAIL Agree on v5. She originally had v4 but I had to redo her coating thanks to a horrible body shop experience. The increase in hydrophobicity is obvious. It’s hands down my go to 2 year coating. As a matter of fact, it’s currently the only 2 year I carry.
@@Tranquility_Auto_Detailing definitely great for maintenance top off and in my opinion hands down the best ceramic topper for dual layer coatings currently available
Gyeon is one of the most sought-after brands worldwide. Maintenance is key to any reputable ceramic and graphene ceramic coatings. Layers of dirt build up over a period of time, fenders and lower body panels tend to behave flat in extreme cases. After pre-rinse and contact wash it's back to life like first time. After working with Gyeon coatings I have recommended a maintenance wash at least very 3 weeks and a decontamination wash every 6-8mths for daily driven vehicles. One thing I would like to say is that if you're going to use soap, use one brand: Gyeon Foam for pre-rinse on extremely dirty vehicles then Gyeon Bathe for your contact wash. Alternatives Koch Chemie - Green Star & GSF or IGL - Blizzard and Orange Fuel Wash. Mixing various brands together can possibly have a negative effect on the coating. Remember to use grit guards and high-quality wash media.
I did MOHS/Synchro on my 2019 BMW X3 M40i back in April and my son and I just did his (my previous vehicle) 2011 BMW 528i in October. Both look great! I thought the MOHS part of the process was simple - applies easily, sweats quickly to let you know its flashed, and levels/buffs easily. We thought the Synchro product was more difficult to apply, as it didn't spread or level as easily. I'm mostly garaged and have done two maintenance washes with Gyeon Restart along with regular washes. On the other hand, the 528i sits outside in the parking lot at his apartment and doesn't get washed very often, so we'll have our own results comparison over time.
So far, so good. My 2019 still looks great and the water beads and runs off like crazy - that's after almost 18 months now. The 5 is still good after a year, but it doesn't get the loving attention my car does, although I clued my son in on Gyeon Restart for maintenance washes a few weeks ago.@@the_king8690
I think I’m gonna have to try gyeon out. Put CSL on my car and after winter, car sits outside and did washing about like you did on this, and it is very flat on the top sides of the car even after a decon wash. Rather disappointing for such a hyped up coating. Gyeon may be my change over.
Out if curiosity did you have exo on top? I think a lot of people diy csl as a thin coat. I'd do it really heavy. I actually do two thick layers sometimes on upward facing panels. Hoods roof trunks etc. Mogs evo was a pretty strong product. Around the year and half mark it was fading but I treated it as bad as you can lol.
Fantastic video. I used Mohs EVO for my first coating on our new car. I felt it was easy to apply, but it's the only coating I've ever used. You do coatings all the time so I'll have to watch why you didn't like it.
I always use a couple microfiber towels to contact wash..I dunno why. I just don't like mits and giant blocks can't hold them or contour around areas as easily I guess. plus i feel like they release dirt easier
Mine is do soon just ordered some ISM 3.0 going to see how well this does against the elements. But the coating looks good for 8 months of abuse thanks for the vids, info 👍
I know that you prefer CSL + EXOv5 over MOHS + Skin = MOHS Synchro. I agree that it is a "problem" that Gyeon do not offer Skin separately so you can top up the Synchro coating every one or two yeears. Can you use EXOv5 with MOHS in the same way that you use EXOv5 with CSL? And will it bond as well with MOHS as it does with CSL?
I'm not sure if I agree with that. I do believe it's a great choice for anyone's daily driver tho. It's performed very well on my daily test car. I have not washes it in months. Sits outside all day. Salt Snow etc. Will wash it soon. Not sure if I'll film... Maybe
Thank you for sharing. Duraflex and the mohs didn't convince me. Maybe the mohs Evo is better. One thing to keep in mind, when testing one coating, on one car, is that the results stand for themselves in isolation. Every detailer who has enough experience, will unfortunately be able to report that, almost every coating performs, depending on the paint. This even goes so far that two S4, from the same year of manufacture, with the same coating, can have a completely different performance...
Agreed this is my results. A true test would be having ten people make this video with me at sane time. If we all had same results then you could probably figure that it's very good margin
I have a year old coat of Can Coat EVO on a two year old Honda which I ironed, clayed, polished with G9 buffer and Griot’s Boss Correcting Cream and Gyeon Prep. Please recommend how I should re-prep the car for Mohs EVO. Thank you for taking the time to make this video and sharing your knowledge.
If you want a fresh install you should redo basically everything you listed. You can also wash it. Prep it and put Evo on if you feel the car is in perfect shape. Best durability and proper install equals redo everything
I was thinking about buying Cancoat Evo... but perhaps its better to buy Mohs Evo. Did you like it better? My car is black but 18 years old and looking nice (had coating years ago). I want to diy polishing, etc and have a coating for the deep shiny black color and easy wash in between.... should I buy Mohs Evo instead? My car is always outside, I have read that cancoat is perfect for outdoor cars... I am in doubt. What do you both suggest?
Great video, I really enjoyed watching this. I would say that personally I would forego Syncro and use Mohs EVO + CanCoat EVO. That is a really killer combo
Great video and glad to see MOHS doing so well. When you mentioned only using car washes are you using the soap cycle? I’ve heard auto washes have super harsh chemicals that degrade coatings. I like using touch less washes especially during the winter and was curious.
I'm pretty sure I was referencing not using car washes. Because this car was only hand washed. If you were to use automatic paid car washes then I would stick strictly to the touchless kind. The average chemical that's going to shoot out shouldn't really affect your coating we're always concerned about too much friction coming from what I like to call the slappers. That's the car wash with the big strips that fly around smack your car for example
@@STATUSDETAIL my apologies. I completely miss heard what you said. Yeah I never use touch style washes but like to use the touch less on occasion especially during the winter to get the undercarriage. Wasn’t sure if the chemicals at those were harming my coating or not
@@JasonSmith-ki6xl no problem! Yeah it's usually in winter time when you're going to do the stuff that's something you wouldn't typically do in summertime. And that's when people typically start going to car washes
Love your content. Notice you do a lot of work on Porsches. I have a 991.2. Never been coated, but never in a tunnel wash. Washed by hand 3-4 times a month. Protected with all kinds of stuff over the years. Doesn't need a clay as I did that last summer. Paint has never had correction or polishing. Was a ton of micro marring. Looking to do a compound/polish at home. Never did a polish/correction, but also have some understanding and risks. What product would you recommend? Thanks
For your correction I recommend a rupes 21 mark 3. Orange hdo pads. Carpro reflect polish. Follow with panel prep like gyeon prep. Then you can apply mohs. Or gtechniq CSL. If you do CSL I'd recommend exo on top. I like mohs but I still install CSL exo in the shop on customer cars. It's just tested and proven for years now. Mohs is great in the short term one year plus a few months test.
Hi SD, Hope this finds you well. Installed the Syncro as above mentioned and till dew weeks ago it was OK however after leaving the car for 4 weeks not washed - water spots on the bonnet, tried Carpro Spotless 2.0 lightly more than few times with no luck. Went and brought CSL and EXO V5 and getting ready to install during the next few days, can I trouble you and ask for your personal opinion, does CSL + EVO V 5 is more resistant to water spots than Carpro CQ with SIC and also Syncro - both hese coatings combos I removed due to water spots so it's becoming an issue for me - Really appreciate any guidance here as I know that you have worked with CSL - thank you in advance and Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones
That car has been sold! My overall impression of that coating was that it was very impressive. I treated it incredibly badly. Car lived outside literally everyday. Was underneath a tree most of that time birds pooping on it repeatedly. And I truly didn't wash it very often like literally wouldn't go months at a time without a wash. But when it came time to wash it it would still be water and looked great. Towards the end of my ownership of that car after it had been on the car for over a year It started a fade slightly but it was definitely still working. Had I taken care of it even slightly good I'm sure it would have been in perfect health. So I truly put it through a genuine torture test and it was still working at the end. I do recommend that ceramic and that's why it's sold in my store. My current personal preference is still CSL though.
Great update and video, I like the idea of the microfibre cloth wash method. One question, do you think all those hard passes trying to unclog the coating are micromarring the vehicle? I have a Lexus with quite soft paint and am always worried about how many passes I do with a cloth or a wash media. I know Audi paint May be a bit harder but I’d like your opinion
It's always a thought for sure. But agitation is extremely important when you don't wash a car for months lol. If your washing weekly. Bi weekly or monthly but not driving much then one fast wipe should do the trick. The video didn't show it but after one wash pass the truck still didn't bead. Pass two was better and pass 3 and rinse was what you saw. It was simply necessary. If we got slight marring it's a unfortunate part of the game. You can try tougher chemicals but that's unlikely to substitute for proper agitation.
I have never replied ceramic coating and I've been looking for the perfect one. I've been looking at this ceramic coating for a couple weeks now, I think I'm going to get it 😀. Great video 10/10. I have a question what soap are you using?
Great video brother. I’ve always been using CSL so far among other precious ones such as legend by p&s and mckees 37 graphene , I’ve just favored csl. I’ll be trying gyeon after this video though! I’m always looking for a glossier coating
Just curiuos as to why you say you dont like the application process? Seems like every other video ive seen says its a really easy process and even good for beginners. Thanks
It flashed very quickly. So you need to work very slowly in small sections or it might bond to fast and high spot. Your environment will alter the bond time. As in temp and humidity. I can typically coat a full door for example but with this I feel I need to split it into like 3 sections. Plus it's a two coat application for max durability. Crystal serum light goes on Easier and is one layer and has incredible durability. Mohs had good durability though
Seems to reject water spots pretty well but I have a bunch on my car. It sits under a tree and all that crap mix's with rain and leaves ugly marks. Solution don't park under trees lol
I highly recommend you buy a 50 for dual cost applications. The dual cost gives you the better durability. A single coat will work with a 30ml not only on small cars. So honestly I'd buy the 50 no matter what unless it's like a Miata lol.
@@user-pi9jx3yp6p they are both good but my long term experience with gtechniq has been very very good as well. I'd say currently you can't go wrong between the two but mohs does have a off install in my opinion. I have never seen ceramic flash so fast. So you just need to be on top of it. And then it should go pretty smoothly
@@user-pi9jx3yp6p I did two mohs costs as that makes durability better. I believe skin was one thick application. But they might recommend 2... I honestly don't remember. I do remember that the mohs application tool forever because you work such a small area. And skin is kind of hard to work with because it's thicker if I remember correctly. So I was out of patience and time to apply ceramic and did one skin layer. This is another pro for CSL and EXO. Application is smooth and easy. Mohs has performed very well tho!!!
How many layers of MOHS did you do? Apologies if I missed that info. Thanks for the video I have been very interested in seeing how these coatings perform.
Two thick layers! Definitely want a 50ml bottle. Check out my channel this is my 3rd or 4th update. So you can get more info on the product if interested
Im still new to the ceramic world. What type of soap would be a maintenance wash like you used and what type would be a decon wash type soap. I do have clean slate and mr pink from Chemical Guys.
Everything you need is on statusdetailstore.com. I'd use Gyeon bathe or reset or g wash for wash. Citrus Foam. Gyeon foam or lift for pre wash and decon. Other soaps are available for deeper decon 👍
Is there any coating that sweats and not rainbows, lasts a while on the shelf once opened and has a 2-3 min wipe off time? seems that alot hit 2 out of 3 but not all 3. Would get the armour detail supply quartz coating but it only stays stable for 30 days on shelf and if i have a scratch in 6 months id like to buff out and recoat i would prefer not to repurchase a $130 coating, use 5 ml to recoat that area then toss in 30 days.
Crystal serum light basically does all those. You're going to have a hard time finding codings that stay good ones the bottle's been opened though that's pretty standard.
I'm theory a wash pad used correctly especially on a not trashed car should do just fine. But in virtually any situation I feel multiple microfiber towels is a safer and more logical approach. Video one day soon.
@@agdom5596 this car is sold! During.y time with it I'd say this ceramic did a nice job. Id also say i would do gtechniq csl and exo instead next time. I just like it better
I have CSL and 2 coats of EXO on mine.. I had some water spots on my hood so used CarPro Spotless 2.0.. It completely killed the coating beading behaviour Have you witnessed this before? Washed twice with Reset now, Used Iron x and still seems “dead” .. Just how it is? Would say i applied it July 2022.
It's never totally killed my ceramic but spotless is basically a acid. So it's pretty strong. A really good soap like reset again with a nice long dwell time and proper long agitation much help. Iron x and spotless tend to leave residue that kills beading. If you try hydro or wetcoat next wash it might revive it after the mentioned steps. Out of curiosity how did you use spotless?
@@STATUSDETAIL Thanks for the reply. Yeah I wouldn’t say it’s 100% dead.. It still kinda sheets water but it’s nowhere near like the rest where spotless wasn’t used. Plus before the spotless treatment the beading was 100% normal after a reset wash “unclogging” it. Which is making me think that’s caused it. I’ll keep trying with Reset giving it a throughout wash & dwell time. I sprayed it on the cool panel, Let it dwell for a minute or so, Then rubbed in with a wet/damp microfiber. Then rinsed.. It actually did the job of removing the water marks quite well. Just my coated took a beating too. Do you think I’d be ok just putting a fresh layer of EXO on after a wash? Thanks
In my opinion mohs Evo is easier to use than one. But for some one might be easier. I don't like the thickness feeling. Like it's wiping honey off a car basically. Mohs should last much longer too
You can always stop using wetcoat for awhile to see what's underneath. The first rinse and wash and beading test was just mohs I believe. Been awhile since his came out.
I have already made vehicles with the old version GYEON Syncro (mohs+skin+pure) I also tried the French brand fictech (not very happy with the water-repellent effect). Has anyone here ever tested the gtecniq crystal light serum ceramic? Or is it better to go with the new GYEON version? Thank you all :)
I recommend you watch my series on this product. The reason I say that is because I directly compare it to CSL in just about every video. Our primary costing that we like to use and and sell in our car care store is CSL In my opinion CSL is a better product than this but this is very close if not potentially identical in durability and water beating so far. I believe I prefer the appearance of CSL and definitely the application. The application is the biggest difference in my opinion and it's worlds apart and much easier to install. It also has little things like includes gloves for example which is kind of nice considering gyeon does not include gloves and the only way to really get a pair of gloves to use is going to be to buy a box of 50 and that's another 30 bucks on top of your coating cost. So having that included in the box basically for free is very nice
That's over simplifying it. A lot goes into applications of ceramic. How it does it's initial cure is very important to the Bond and overall durability. This cures to rapidly in my opinion. This can make high spots. Forces you to work small sections. And can lead to high spots very quickly. The install experience with other products is more forgiving and have better durability.
I truly don't remember lol I usually use bathe. Reset. Or gsf. Fir heavy lifting I use gyeon foam or carpro lift All available at statusdetailstore.com
@@STATUSDETAIL thanks for replying! That’s true lol we end up having so many good options in our arsenal that we end up using different ones each time to reach the same outcome.
The car definitely has some spots on it. Mostly from tree related gunk sitting on a car that gets wet and in sun. I'm positive a light polish will correct it. It's only on upward facing surfaces. The sides are fine. This is me treating the car badly and not a ceramic issue. Anything will water spot with hard water. So always be mindful to wash in shade on a cool car. Any product that makes water bead up will possibly make water spots happen. It's the one funny thing about flat water sheeting on Mon coated or waxed cars. They never spot lol
Gotta say, out of all things I’ve watched, I’ve never seen anyone mix soap products or actually wash the car with a micro fibre towel straight in the foam!!! 😬
Maybe! It's still a very young coating. Hasn't even been on the market a year. But it's very reliable so far. I have had CSL on two personal cars one has seen like 3 or 4 winters. Still going strong with excellent maintenance but definitely lives outside 95% of the time. Will be fun to keep watching both!
Not sure understand what your referencing in the appearance department lol. It certainly made the car more glossy. I'd say the majority of that gloss is still on the car. The paint has some weird water tree pollen and sap type marks all over it. But that's from sitting under a tree for 8 months. Not really the ceramic at fault.
@@STATUSDETAIL is this just the way ceramic coatings look on camera? Or in person? I am watching your things and others learning. I currently use Klasse acrylic and also Sonus Glanz as an upkeep after washing.
@@doriangray2347 that's a great question! It's hard to answer. Mohs Evo adds a lot of gloss but it does look "artificial" to a trained eye in the detailing business. I think many people will love it. I also did 2 layers more or less
To make sure I covered all areas since my vehicle is white.
Good to hear 🙂👍
MOHS is crushing it! Real torture test!
Definitely performing very very well!
Agreed. Btw v5 is incredible. Install is silly easy. Feels amazing on wipe off and hydrophobics are outrageously good.
One thing I would like to say is that if you're going to use soap, use one brand:
Gyeon Foam for pre-rinse on extremely dirty vehicles then Gyeon Bathe for your contact wash.
Alternatives
Koch Chemie - Green Star & GSF
or
IGL - Blizzard and Orange Fuel Wash.
Mixing various brands together can possibly have a negative effect on the coating.
Remember to use grit guards and high-quality wash media.
Not sure I agree with the don't change soaps thing. But otherwise nice post/comment 👍

You'll need that acidic shampoo from neighboring company for cutting down build up during maintenance tho...

That car is sold actually. The ceramic held up nicely during my ownership. 👍
Interested to hear your results 🙂
Well, how is it holding on now?
Great video! I think you could use can coat evo as a topper on this one, and they say its a beed master :)
Agreed 👍👍
Fantastic video. I used Mohs EVO for my first coating on our new car. I felt it was easy to apply, but it's the only coating I've ever used. You do coatings all the time so I'll have to watch why you didn't like it.
I recently sold that car but it was about a year and half old ceramic at sale Time and still doing pretty well considering I treated it so badly lol
I always use a couple microfiber towels to contact wash..I dunno why. I just don't like mits and giant blocks can't hold them or contour around areas as easily I guess. plus i feel like they release dirt easier
My recent video is all about microfiber washing process 👍
Mine is do soon just ordered some ISM 3.0 going to see how well this does against the elements. But the coating looks good for 8 months of abuse thanks for the vids, info 👍
I don't have much experience with ism. Would be a interesting test in the future
I think u should try an acid wash next to see if it brings the coating back to how it was and how close to it
As a durability test? Or to clean the gunk out lok
@@STATUSDETAIL to get the bonded minerals out. I usually start with an alkaline soap and then move to an acidic shampoo
Most people will say no and keep the brands the same. It might work but your longevity could suffer since the bond isn't there.
Many thanks 😊

As far as consumer grade coatings go. MOHS Evo probably has the best, most tight water beading.
I'm not sure if I agree with that.

It's performed very well on my daily test car.

@@STATUSDETAIL Definitely looking forward to your thoughts on it.
Thanks for watching. Interesting about the cancoat. It's definitely a promising product.

Hi any new updates on the coating on this car? It has been another 8 months. Would love to see how the coating is holding up 😊
That car has been sold!

@@STATUSDETAIL ah no way , I’ve never tried csl as a stand-alone. Have you noticed a difference without exo?
Awesome 👏🏼 One layer or two layers sir?
One layer works. Two layers gives more longevity. Id recommend two in all diy cars. If your business charge for one layer and charge more for 2 layer
Thanks for the video. To be clear is this just Mohs or Mohs and Skin? How did it do with rejecting water spots?
Skin on trunk back area
Mohs in front of all that
Seems to reject water spots pretty well but I have a bunch on my car. It sits under a tree and all that crap mix's with rain and leaves ugly marks. Solution don't park under trees lol

Thank you for the update, brilliant job. what size of bottle did you need the 30 or 50ml . Thanks

Don't know enough about it to safely give a opinion. I do love CSL and exo. It's been incredible.

I’ve been using micro fiber towels for washing cars for 15 years. That’s the professional way. Wash mitts are not precise at washing.
I'm theory a wash pad used correctly especially on a not trashed car should do just fine.
But in virtually any situation I feel multiple microfiber towels is a safer and more logical approach. Video one day soon.
Any update for now sir?? Look like your video has been 2 years ago.. I'm on between gyeon mohs evo and Carpro Cquartz Sic.
Thanks
How does mohs compare to gyeon ONE? I found that gyeon one was pretty easy to use.
In my opinion mohs Evo is easier to use than one. But for some one might be easier. I don't like the thickness feeling. Like it's wiping honey off a car basically. Mohs should last much longer too
It's not going to be easy to know the condition of the coating if you keep topping it with Gyeon Bathe every time you wash it, though. Is it?
You can always stop using wetcoat for awhile to see what's underneath.
The first rinse and wash and beading test was just mohs I believe. Been awhile since his came out.
Did you also coat the headlights and taillights?
Yes.
I would just use XS Topper over Mohs instead of Skin anyway.
Xs?
@@STATUSDETAIL Xtreme Solutions Topper.

How do you think this compares with CSL+EXO v5? I wonder if you could put Exo V5 on mohs evo.
V5 on mohs works. But I prefer v5 and CSL as base. Mohs is still very good tho.
Our primary costing that we like to use and and sell in our car care store is CSL
In my opinion CSL is a better product than this but this is very close if not potentially identical in durability and water beating so far.
Installation? Isnt it just apply and wipe pff immediately?
That's over simplifying it. A lot goes into applications of ceramic. How it does it's initial cure is very important to the Bond and overall durability.
This cures to rapidly in my opinion. This can make high spots. Forces you to work small sections. And can lead to high spots very quickly.
The install experience with other products is more forgiving and have better durability.
Awesome video, I love Mohs and how it performs. What soap did you use in your MTM in this video? Thanks

Did you apply 1 single layer of mohs?

Have you had any water spot issues ?
The car definitely has some spots on it. Mostly from tree related gunk sitting on a car that gets wet and in sun. I'm positive a light polish will correct it. It's only on upward facing surfaces. The sides are fine. This is me treating the car badly and not a ceramic issue. Anything will water spot with hard water. So always be mindful to wash in shade on a cool car. Any product that makes water bead up will possibly make water spots happen.
It's the one funny thing about flat water sheeting on Mon coated or waxed cars. They never spot lol
