    I'm learning a lot from your videos. Thank you. Regarding the vacuum bag, I think you said in another video that this is a clothes storage bag. Is that a standard valve that came with the bag or did you add that? Also, you're not using a platen board but rather a mesh. I like it. It's simpler. Is that readily available or is that something you specially ordered for this process?

    • @bellevuesnekkeri
      @bellevuesnekkeri  3 года назад

      Hi Ray. Thank you for your kind feedback. It actually is clothes storage bag. Unfortunately it did not hold up very good so I made a new one from some heavy duty vinyl. You can check it out here: ruclips.net/video/ow3Hta-UWfw/видео.html&ab_channel=BellevueWoodshop. The connector is a regular push fit connector for pneumatic that I just screwed into the cap of the bag. The mesh is just some anti skid drawer liner

    • @YarNotsew
      @YarNotsew 3 года назад

      @@bellevuesnekkeri Drawer liner. Hadn't thought of that. Good idea. I bought a cheap clothes storage bag to test and it's been holding a vacuum for a few weeks now so I think it's viable although I'm not sure how much vacuum my vacuum cleaner is actually pulling. My test bag doesn't have a cover on the valve but I know that some bags do and I wondered about attaching a fitting to that cover. That would let me attach an actual vacuum pump to the clothes storage bag. Thanks for the confirmation of how you've been doing this. It helps a lot. Thank you.

    Nice fit on the watch faces! I was wondering how you were going to retain them, but they friction fit perfectly. That’s an accomplishment. (Also, awkward timing: during the two weeks when the US has started DST, but Europe hasn’t yet =) )

      Thanks David. It is really new ground to discover with this laser. But if I am to run raster photo engraving, I might have to build a dedicated high speed laser machine. I do not want to wear out my ballscrews on this machine with all the motions this requires

    Thanks for this great video, that's a pleasure to watch it ! I'm asking about LASER usage these days and I would like to know where can I find informations about the minimal laser power needed to cut different kind of wood ?

    • @bellevuesnekkeri
      @bellevuesnekkeri  5 лет назад

      Thank you David. I am no laser guru. My 2 cents is to find a forum thread, or start a new one in a dedicated forum. Maybe cnczone.com has a subforum for lasers. Sorry that I am not able to help. I cut 4mm with this 7w diode laser with 20 slw passes. But any major cutting in would you would have to use a CO2 laser. Diode lasers is better suited for engraving, and not so much for cutting
