Correct, it USED to be a magic weapon, it had a 11-16 mana usage during the pre 1.1 days, it did around 15 damage and caused 3 stars to fall at a angle from the sky per swing/use, it was a great weapon which is why its name is still held in high regard even today.

The reason why Golem was rapidfiring the lasers, when he is led outside of the Jungle he gets enraged, although instead of a damage buff like Plantera, it makes him jump and shoot lasers faster
the mech bosses can be spawned one of two ways, naturally each night with a 10% chance but only after breaking at least one altar (with a hammer that doesnt exist) or by using the summon (that doesnt exist) which can be crafted (with souls that dont exist) at a mythril or orichalcum anvil (neither of which exist)
Technically, Tedit was released on May 24th 2024, and the current update during that time would have been 1.0.6.1, meaning it's well within the spirit of the challenge 😉

You should make a video were you gotta play terraria with a full inventory at all times, so when your inventory gets full the only way to get rid of items is to switch them out with other items and you can't store anything in chests
mech boss summons can drop from enemies in hardmode, and the bosses can spawn on their own, meaning the orichalcum anvil was not necessary for progression.

Would the orange zapinator technically count as a 1.0 weapon? Because a version of it was in 1.0 and earlier, mostly for dev use, but it was still technically in the game all the way back then even if not obtainable by regular means.

Another example of this i thought of could be the upcoming rework to phasesabers. That's actually better comparison to the Zapinator. The biggest plantera arena I've ever made was so big that if you were standing in the middle of a row of platforms it wouldn't count as a jungle

If you don't want Enemies to spawn, you can put background walls to make sure they don't spawn, (not grass, dirt or, graveyard walls)
Tip: put dryad near your nurse so it won't easily die to any Bosses dryad gives the Nurse extea healing with him using his ability buff
During the twins fight if you had used a recall instead of a mirror you wouldve survived and been able to heal
