So true. 48 and never watched women's basketball on any level. I watched the college playoffs and I'm looking forward to watching Caitlins first game tonight. She's creating a buzz for the whole league and deserves much more respect than She's getting. She's changing the game for all her peers as well including the haters.

I think she is smart, can shoot, and keeps her team mate's on their toes by her passes. Never saw a girl be so aware of the court as her. Larry Legend has similar traits, except she can dribble better.
She has elevated the college ball and will do the same for the WNBA for sure.😊

As a huge Caitlin Clark fan I’m not sure if that’s it exactly. She’s obviously intelligent, but so are other players. I think what sets her apart is more of the entire package she has, and her confidence and drive. She has that innate winning spirit inside of her that only the greats have. I hope I’m expressing myself well. There’s just something about her that has to do with her vision for the game in the moment, but also long term that can’t be shaken and is different from other players.

The casual fans are a key start for WNBA. If cc can't save the league, no one could. Casual dating is like the casual fan by asking one of their most common questions: "Who's you're friend?" Which one? Angel Reese? Celeste Taylor? Cameron Brink? Haley Van Lith? Gabbie Marshall? Paige Buekers? I can't wait to see cc's friends.

Someone please explain to me how caitlin brand with Indiana will benefit the rest of the league, I mean if the majority Jerseys are sold,, and all the merchandise sales are of her name, fever away n home games are majorly popular, how will the rest of the league benefit, it would be like a restaurant moving into a strip mall, gets load of new visitors, but Itwouldn't necessarily do much for the surrounding stores like pet stores and a dollar store, only the restaurant would generate so much business. So how will Caitlin's popularity affect the rest of the teams in the league, won't it only affect her team?

@@Defender78 Its like Bird & Magic in the 80's. In the 70s nobody watched the NBA, they struggled to get people to tune in for the finals, and college bball was much more popular. Yes many new people were Celtic or Lakers fans, but the league was full of great players like Kareem, Dr. J, Malone, Pistol Pete. So the attention they brought not only made the NBA explode, it brought in more eyes to find those other great players. By your logic, Jordan did nothing to explode the success of the NBA either. And in your example the other stores WOULD benefit from being close to a popular restaurant. Retail is all about foot traffic & having more people in the area b/c of a successful business improves that.

I didn't realize the Caitlin Clark effect was world wide. If she is so big for Nike, then CC got ripped off at 3.5 million per year contract. Nike certainly took advantage of the disparity of the women's league. I see that amount as a start. Contracts can be broken and renegotiated. NIKE is poised to make billions on her. They signed several other men with the similar popularity and marketability to 500 million, to over a Billion dollar contracts over the years. She is a once in a generation phenom.. She deserves a renegotiated contract after her first year - obviously if she delivers. There has to be some contract clause that should allow movement in the total amount and or length of the contract, if she continues her incredible climb. She'll have the leverage at that point.

That being said, I honestly believe that the reasons why other WNBA FEMALE figures hate Caitlin Clark, are because she is a great player, White, pretty, and heterosexual.
