As a huge Caitlin Clark fan I’m not sure if that’s it exactly. She’s obviously intelligent, but so are other players. I think what sets her apart is more of the entire package she has, and her confidence and drive. She has that innate winning spirit inside of her that only the greats have. I've been a Hawkeye fan for years, but it wasn't until CC came along that I got into the womens basketball. She's been amazing for the sport. She'll have an adjustment period but she willl get through it and continue to great things for wormen and the sport. I didn't realize the Caitlin Clark effect was world wide. If she is so big for Nike, then CC got ripped off at 3.5 million per year contract. Nike certainly took advantage of the disparity of the women's league. I see that amount as a start. Contracts can be broken and renegotiated. NIKE is poised to make billions on her. They signed several other men with the similar popularity and marketability to 500 million, to over a Billion dollar contracts over the years. She is a once in a generation phenom.. She deserves a renegotiated contract after her first year - obviously if she delivers. There has to be some contract clause that should allow movement in the total amount and or length of the contract, if she continues her incredible climb. She'll have the leverage at that point.
