This unit can truly be called unusual for a number of features that are noticeable to an experienced tanker even without considering the vehicle’s parameters. However, to complete the picture, we will now analyze the characteristics of the A-44 in as much detail as possible, and, of course, we will pay attention to the features of this tank.
From the point of view of the so-called standards, this device fully complies with the general standards of medium tanks of the seventh level, because the A-44 WoT has the same safety margin as most, as well as a far from perfect, but quite sane basic visibility of 370 meters.
If we consider the A-44 TTX armor, in general, everything is quite mediocre. Let's start with the frontal projection and regarding the body, the thickest areas here are the two red lines, in which the reduction reaches a maximum of 210 millimeters, all other surfaces have a thickness of 170 millimeters reduction or less. You must understand that the A-44 World of Tanks has a front engine and with such protection it will either be constantly criticized, or you will suffer due to fires.
Our tower is quite interesting, as it is either penetrated by classmates or withstands the blow of level nine equipment. It’s all because of the FBR; an enemy projectile can hit the mask and be “eaten” by it, or it can hit the area where the reduced armor reaches 257 millimeters. But most often, the A-44 medium tank loses its strength points if it is shot at the turret of a level 8-9 vehicle.
As for the sides, as usual, at right angles they do not represent any force. However, the 60 mm thickness allows us to tank our classmates with a reverse diamond, and sometimes the eights strike us with ricochets.
An interesting aspect of this Soviet unit is its mobility. We can say for sure that the A-44 tank has an excellent maximum speed and good maneuverability, but the car has problems with the dynamics and you will be able to fully accelerate only when descending a hill, however, it maintains its speed confidently.
We can say that this is the main feature of the tank, thanks to which it stands out from all ST-7s, due to which it can be considered unique, but is this a good thing?
The fact is that the A-44 gun has a powerful alpha strike, however, for such a privilege we have to pay with a very long reload, so we can only deal about 1700 units of damage per minute, which is not so good.
In terms of armor penetration, the A-44 tank is very strong; standard BBs are enough to normally fight with the seventh and eighth levels, but not with the ninth. For the fights at the bottom of the list, you should always have at least 10-15 sub-calibers with you.
A long reload is not the only price to pay for powerful one-time damage. The gun of the A-44 World of Tanks is very oblique. As you can see, its spread is huge, it takes a long time to reduce, and what can we hide, there are also big problems with stabilization.
Adding to the gloomy colors is the fact that due to the rear position of the turret, the A-44 WoT medium tank has disgusting air pressure levels, the barrel goes down only 3 degrees.

Если бы не его адские УВН в минус три, то вполне играбельный танчик. Все его недостатки можно нивелировать оборудкой и модернизацией, а вот УВН никак.
