Wrecked seemed like it was going to break the curse, but after nerf after nerf making both casual and comp players unhappy it just seems it'll be lumped over with vibin and wilds. Personally I didn't even think Wilds was that bad, the new guns like the mammoth pistol and the explosive repeater were a ton of fun, it's just the aesthetic and atmosphere of the season that kinda sucked.
@@mrclapz1488 Wilds was only bad because of Epic games: they removed the mobility from the first two seasons, didn't add any kinetic mobility (instead we got a boomerang and eventually invisibility gloves), and finally, they added mud, but unlike chrome before it, you could only get mud from a single area kinda like moving in the desert from chapter 2 season 5, which made the movement way slower with the only excuse being "jump on a raptor." I wish they would have added Mud Splashes like with Chrome, exotic chug splashes, and the new Nitro item as well...
at this point no game is gonna have the cartoony simplistic aesthetic anymore because they all wanna “progress” or “evolve”. but when every game looks the same and has the same things, none become special anymore.

I took like a long break and it went through3 chapter yet the transition from chapter 1 to 2 was crazy and now it’s just like”yea there’s a new chapter nothing kinda changed”

I feel like the season 3 curse could also be renamed the Summer season curse. I mean, the only non-controversial season 3 was chapter 1 which was not during the summer. But looking at other summer seasons like C1S5, S9 and C2S7, these all had some controversy. It just happens that with yearly chapters all Summer seasons end up being season 3.

I won’t forgive epic for cutting C3 short. Vibin was the last season that Donald mustard worked on, and apparently we were gonna get another year of C3, but they ended it early and pushed up the original final season on the chapter to the 4th slot.

@warlockholmes Lmao. It had the most content, and it was consistent. Coral Castle was cool when it first came out. The mythics were great. The marauders were fun, the shark meta was fun, and the map was great. As far as map updates go, it still stands as one of my favorites. It was summer themed. Like, what did you want them to do? Add a small little pool or skate park like they do now?

C2S3 is one of my favorite seasons of all time, i loved almost everything about it C3S3 was fun for the most part, but it was way too long (seriously, why was it over 100 days long) C4S3 was fun as well imo, I understand the hate but I had fun with it This season is great imo, love the chaos of it Also I never played C1S3 so that’s why I didn’t talk about it

Personally chapter 2 season 3 was one of my fav seasons tho, the flooding the map was so cool especially seeing the water slowly rise and consume the map, (maybe seeing the map change and so suddenly felt cool) and the sharks were very fun additions, they had good skins and mythics also
The chapter 5 season 3 summer event felt like the true beginning to forgetting about stuff instead of improving it, its just three random things they couldve thrown in the item shop with some dumb as living hell complex quests to get them, one being (and I wish I was making this up) "Win a Victory Royale While on a Wastelander Challenge" there is such a small amount of people getting these awards this year 😭 the worst part is I bet half the community barely even knew this was happening
In my opinion, this season is pretty good fun. I especially love taking the fizz thing and the nitro splash and becoming a crack addled spider monkey, its even more fun if you get the tow hook canon.
it makes sense why ch2 s3 is overlooked, since it's literally trapped in the 2 most greatest seasons ever, (as stated in the video) but ch2 s3 did a good job on portraying the main aspect on what it was supposed to be. This is the same with Ch3 S3 which is my 3rd favourite season in fortnite, the battlepass was great the map was actually nice in my opinion. and the weapons were fun for me. I like how they experimented with another type of scoped ar with the dmr. My favourite gun of all time.
5:50 the sharp tooth and pump are NOT the same, sharp tooth shotgun could do a lot of structure damage and could hit for around 100 meters while the pump is just the pump
The problem is they use the same item render model to trick people into thinking it is the original Pump, thats why everyone hated the weapon. If it would have its own model nobody would complain about that gun

It was different and people hate when stuff is different because they don’t want to adapt. Fortnite has a been a gun based game for 7 years. People can survive ONE season of cars but no, they complained and cried. This is why I don’t blame companies for not listening to their fans sometimes.

Chapters being Six seasons long actually sounds pretty good. More time for the map to be memorized by players, more time to flesh out the Chapter-wide story, and also "Six Seasons and a Movie" or rather "Six Seasons and a Live Event" hahahahaha i love community
As someone who only started playing fortnite at the start of chapter 5, it’s hard to understand how some of these seasons can be seen as bad, only because I didn’t play them myself. Like a jungle location and wilderness theme sounds super exciting to me as someone who spent my first two seasons in a map mostly covered in snow and filled with mansions or palaces
You will be shocked but season 3 of this chapter is what got me back into the game after not playing it since 2018 (because that's when the update blue screened my pc). I came back because of Metallica and I loved Metallica when I was younger. Seeing nearly half of the season being dedicated to them was extremely wild and extremely fun too. Ride The Lightning, extremely fun traversal tool which your enemies could use as well. Nitrodome playing all their songs, fun.
I have a really great memory of playing Fortnite for the first time in season 3, when the port-a-fort just got released, and I threw it at someone thinking it would blow up, to find myself standing before a giant fortress with someone now inside of it
Vibin' was what got me back into Fortnite back in 2022 for a few months after not playing the game since 2020 (oh my goodness, it's been two years since Vibin' was out).
I loved the meta and jungle so much in Wilds; it was so addicting. It's my most played season and probably in my top 5 favorites. I feel like if the summer event wasn't such a blunder more people would agree with me.
I genuinely enjoyed Chapter 4 in general because my bro and I were on our prime on playing. We played almost every time together, so even if season 3 was bad executed, I had fun with him
C5S3 has been fucking magical once things hit their stride. Boss cars regenning was a bit much, but once that got patched out the vehicular combat was a nice form of engagement, and it was never the consistently optimal strategy because Boom Bolts, Magneto Power, and EMP grenades shut cars down pretty much immediately if you kept an ear out for the car and had them ready.
The main reason I like Ch 3 Se 3 is because me and my friends main skins come from this one specifically, being Malik and Stormfarer, and I liked the more chill vibez from it lol, I'm surprised people hate it so much.
The casuals and the sweats were at war with each other, the casuals just wanted to play for fun and use the cars but abuse them in ranked, and the sweats thought they were going to grand finals or some shit and begged for nerfs, ruining the fun for the casuals. So they add the og map back last minute. ❌failed season
while I installed and tried the game for the first time during ch2 s2 ch2 s3 was my very first fortnite season and holds a special place in my heart watching old vids of the map flooded with water sends me back man
Something I cant stand is when people expect less of a season because its a season three, the fact that people try to excuse fortnites laziness because its a season three is ridiculous
AGREED that was my least favorite update easily. Cool vines and stuff but every area was blocked off and pvp was restricted to who had a sniper and who didn't
People say that fortnite should evolve but in what sense they are just giving out mid gamemodes and people say its evolving the br is just changing into cod and people are saying that its evolving they should evolve in seasons,ltms,maps,pois and weapons which have dissolved instead of evolving and evolving in seasonal events and live events which is not even there in this game
Early chapter 2 was definitely the best era of Fortnite, from season 1-5 the game was super good. That chapter did kinda turn bad by the end, but season 3 had some great memories. Between the locations, which I had nicknamed Ratty Catty Corner, For Quasadilla(like the Napoleon Dynamite pronunciation), and one of the most chaotically fun seasons, back when Fortnite wasn’t scared to be unique and lean into the craziness. It also I don’t think will ever be treated too great as it was the next season in line after the best season ever in my opinion. But it was a really good season
Okay, I really do agree with the bad stuff about chapter 3 season 3 but the prime shotgun was GOATED, it has a higher max damage headshot than the pump, and it was added in the last two weeks of the season so it’s really more of a season 4 gun than a season 3 one
I hope this season is a learning lesson for epic. People don’t like to sit in a car all game. They want to play Fortnite how Fortnite should be played. Just look at the player counts for pubs and ranked. It speaks for itself
Day 1 cars were... beautiful. For some reason they registered collisions far beyond their visible bounds, letting you plow through ANYTHING in a semitruck and kill EVERYONE.

So I started at C2S4 so I’ve dealt with 3 chapter 3s and so far I’ve enjoyed the new season it’s actually really fun for me because I’m not a pro/sweat and I just enjoy it knowing the next seasons gonna be goated
wrecked started fun af but nerf after nerf after nerf just made it shit. the nerfs didnt balance the cars, they didnt make the nitro fists weaker, all they did was make traversal worse. the recent changes to ranked also suck ass. im trying to hit unreal this season so i can unlock the style for the ranked skin. the removal of cars and nitro fists made ranked unplayable for me. i cant escape fights when im overwhelmed, i cant traverse the map, i feel like im stuck getting rushed over and over and over with no way out other then to fight, get low, get third partied and die.
What's funny is chapter 3 actually WAS gonna be 6 seasons! It was loosely laid out that after Vibin', Evie would bring in the Mega biome/Mega City cuz of affiliation with the peace syndicate, then the C4S2-3 story would play out as Wilds was meant to be season 5. This would've foretold The Herald's arrival and how she'd bring destruction. But cuz Donald Mustard stopped doing the story after Vibin', big daddy Epic wanted players and decided to magnificently shit the bed as they moved Paradise to the fourth and final season of the chapter (basically rushing it and its event out the door), and hitting a reset for player count and metaverse reasons. Man we live in the worst goddamn timeline
I usually hate Fortnite based channels for being annoying as hell, but yours is one I can vibe to even considering i'm not a huge fortnite fan. Keep up the good work man 👍
The first 2 chapters never had a bad season. Its only the last three chapters. It's really unfortunate that the game that made us the players we are today is becoming a really shit game. I love fortnite but they gotta fix it up if I'm gonna keep spending money on it.
I thinl the reason season 3s are so lackluster, is because Season 1 is always laying down the framework, Season 2 is smoothing the edges. Then Season 3 comes along, where epics like "What's Next?" So they experiment and get feedback from the community. Season 3 is kinda a feedback season for the end of the Chapter.
I actually love this current season, and the fact that the loot pool are divided now, magneto's weapon is broken fun and reload on top of that, this is my favorite season of this chapter
At this point I’m just tired of them eventually adding busted ass weapons. Last season we had waterbending. This season we have magneto gloves. It feels like every season has that 1 weapon that you absolutely need to carry or else you’re at a disadvantage
I agree with the longer chapter plan, but there are a couple of other reasons I think they become less favorable: -The summer event is the event that fell off the hardest, so they become one of the points that most people remember since both the season was underwhelming and the summer event was “mid again” -I generally these seasons seem to be more experimental in a certain sense since we have a flood, a chill season, an entire jungle biome that might had sought to explore a theme similar to primal, and now a giant wasteland and op cars. I think people feeling negative to these changes also hinders these seasons. -The “curse” itself also doesn’t help the seasons. Having that expectation that the season will be garbage before even starting makes people look at it with more expectations. Same with the “Guaranteed success” for season 2.
Chapter 5 season 3 for me contends as the words season ever. Spammed by magneto power and nitro fist abusers, Ran over by cars. The desert area is good but overall a crap season. The loot pool is mid to bad
God I love chapter 2 season 3, its the only season Epic hasnt used the theme from again & I absolutely could not get enough of the new PoI styles (other than Coral Castle) and enjoyed every gameplay change
C2S3 was actually goated though, so many fun gameplay opportunites and a lot of consistent changes that could change strategies throughout the season instead of a map that doesn’t change after the beginning of the season. I might be biased because I started in this season

It was different and people hate when stuff is different because they don’t want to adapt. Fortnite has a been a gun based game for 7 years. People can survive ONE season of cars but no, they complained and cried. This is why I don’t blame companies for not listening to their fans sometimes.

As someone who only started playing fortnite at the start of chapter 5, it’s hard to understand how some of these seasons can be seen as bad, only because I didn’t play them myself. Like a jungle location and wilderness theme sounds super exciting to me as someone who spent my first two seasons in a map mostly covered in snow and filled with mansions or palaces
U can tell from how he edited this that he watches a lot of walking dead. But I am not complaining since I love that show

You will be shocked but season 3 of this chapter is what got me back into the game after not playing it since 2018 (because that's when the update blue screened my pc). I came back because of Metallica and I loved Metallica when I was younger. Seeing nearly half of the season being dedicated to them was extremely wild and extremely fun too. Ride The Lightning, extremely fun traversal tool which your enemies could use as well. Nitrodome playing all their songs, fun.

I have a really great memory of playing Fortnite for the first time in season 3, when the port-a-fort just got released, and I threw it at someone thinking it would blow up, to find myself standing before a giant fortress with someone now inside of it

Vibin was underrated
C5S3 has been fucking magical once things hit their stride. Boss cars regenning was a bit much, but once that got patched out the vehicular combat was a nice form of engagement, and it was never the consistently optimal strategy because Boom Bolts, Magneto Power, and EMP grenades shut cars down pretty much immediately if you kept an ear out for the car and had them ready.

The casuals and the sweats were at war with each other, the casuals just wanted to play for fun and use the cars but abuse them in ranked, and the sweats thought they were going to grand finals or some shit and begged for nerfs, ruining the fun for the casuals. I personally hated every part of chapter 4. Storyline was destroyed, the map was very strange, and most weapons were mid.

Early chapter 2 was definitely the best era of Fortnite, from season 1-5 the game was super good. That chapter did kinda turn bad by the end, but season 3 had some great memories. Between the locations, which I had nicknamed Ratty Catty Corner, For Quasadilla(like the Napoleon Dynamite pronunciation), and one of the most chaotically fun seasons, back when Fortnite wasn’t scared to be unique and lean into the craziness. It also I don’t think will ever be treated too great as it was the next season in line after the best season ever in my opinion. But it was a really good season

Okay, I really do agree with the bad stuff about chapter 3 season 3 but the prime shotgun was GOATED, it has a higher max damage headshot than the pump, and it was added in the last two weeks of the season so it’s really more of a season 4 gun than a season 3 one
I hope this season is a learning lesson for epic. People don’t like to sit in a car all game. They want to play Fortnite how Fortnite should be played. Just look at the player counts for pubs and ranked. It speaks for itself

Day 1 cars were... beautiful. For some reason they registered collisions far beyond their visible bounds, letting you plow through ANYTHING in a semitruck and kill EVERYONE.

wrecked started fun af but nerf after nerf after nerf just made it shit. the nerfs didnt balance the cars, they didnt make the nitro fists weaker, all they did was make traversal worse. the recent changes to ranked also suck ass. im trying to hit unreal this season so i can unlock the style for the ranked skin. the removal of cars and nitro fists made ranked unplayable for me. i cant escape fights when im overwhelmed, i cant traverse the map, i feel like im stuck getting rushed over and over and over with no way out other then to fight, get low, get third partied and die.
Sweats complaining ruined it all, Week 1 was the most fun people were having for AGES.

What's funny is chapter 3 actually WAS gonna be 6 seasons! It was loosely laid out that after Vibin', Evie would bring in the Mega biome/Mega City cuz of affiliation with the peace syndicate, then the C4S2-3 story would play out as Wilds was meant to be season 5. This would've foretold The Herald's arrival and how she'd bring destruction. But cuz Donald Mustard stopped doing the story after Vibin', big daddy Epic wanted players and decided to magnificently shit the bed as they moved Paradise to the fourth and final season of the chapter (basically rushing it and its event out the door), and hitting a reset for player count and metaverse reasons. Man we live in the worst goddamn timeline
Im pretty sure the reason they make the season 3's ass is they are jealous 90% of the fanbase have summer breaks instead of the employees

The first 2 chapters never had a bad season. Its only the last three chapters. It's really unfortunate that the game that made us the players we are today is becoming a really shit game. I love fortnite but they gotta fix it up if I'm gonna keep spending money on it.

I thinl the reason season 3s are so lackluster, is because Season 1 is always laying down the framework, Season 2 is smoothing the edges. Then Season 3 comes along, where epics like "What's Next?" So they experiment and get feedback from the community. Season 3 is kinda a feedback season for the end of the Chapter.
I actually love this current season, and the fact that the loot pool are divided now, magneto's weapon is broken fun and reload on top of that, this is my favorite season of this chapter

At this point I’m just tired of them eventually adding busted ass weapons. Last season we had waterbending. This season we have magneto gloves. It feels like every season has that 1 weapon that you absolutely need to carry or else you’re at a disadvantage

I agree with the longer chapter plan, but there are a couple of other reasons I think they become less favorable:
-The summer event is the event that fell off the hardest, so they become one of the points that most people remember since both the season was underwhelming and the summer event was “mid again”
-I generally these seasons seem to be more experimental in a certain sense since we have a flood, a chill season, an entire jungle biome that might had sought to explore a theme similar to primal, and now a giant wasteland and op cars. I think people feeling negative to these changes also hinders these seasons.
-The “curse” itself also doesn’t help the seasons. Having that expectation that the season will be garbage before even starting makes people look at it with more expectations. Same with the “Guaranteed success” for season 2.
Chapter 5 season 3 for me contends as the words season ever. Spammed by magneto power and nitro fist abusers, Ran over by cars. The desert area is good but overall a crap season. The loot pool is mid to bad

God I love chapter 2 season 3, its the only season Epic hasnt used the theme from again & I absolutely could not get enough of the new PoI styles (other than Coral Castle) and enjoyed every gameplay change
