Sound effects?... He was making plenty of sounds.. which sound effects are you referring to?.. I'm not a big fan of westerns but I like Gunsmoke and The Wagon Train and a few others...
Right? Now a days if a criminal gets cuffed a bit tight they claim abuse and win millions of dollars... How much has changed since then is enough to make a person sick..
Sorry but Ken Curtis playing as "Festus Hagen" was ten times better than Dennis Weaver . Ken Curtis acted better, shot better, delivered wise cracks better and who knew he was a great singer from the 1940s.
I liked Ken Curtis as a singer of western ballads but I liked Dennis Weaver's acting much better, especially his sarcastic exchanges with Doc. Festus Hagen had such a limited set of eccentric actions, sayings and mannerisms ("Golly Bill Matthew") that he became irritating after a while. GUNSMOKE wasn't as good after Dennis Weaver left.
@@josephcope7637 Yeah, but the verbal fights between Festus and Doc were priceless.Festus shot better too, and he has some philosophical tidbits too. There are RUclipss on the above.
And that’s how you treat men who hit women… and don’t get in trouble for it…
wow a very young Jack Klugman!
Sound effects are missing from the show! Sure makes a difference but it was a great knife fight sequence

Its a 1955 show
It has sound effects, just not the over the top cartoonish effects typical of action movies.
Perhaps you could edit in Three Stooges sound effects where the original ones are missing in this clip
Our police should be still beating criminals this way.

They would be shot daily..if they are beating people up..
During the fight, the bad guy has his hat off at 1:17, then has it back on at 1:18.
Its a 1955 show dude chill
He was doing a good job
