A lot of old shows from that era I watch and wonder why I liked them. Gunsmoke I watch and wonder why they can't even approach the quality today. It is timeless excellence.
I love this show, Gunsmoke has always been my favorite western 😊
My favorite tV program.
My 1# Favorite Western show of all time. 🤠🏜️🐴
I wish he would have had a chance to work with Quentin Tarantino. He died before Quentin Tarantino made the hateful eight and Django unchained.
It's always been my favorite too. 🙋❤
Miss Kitty: “Why don’t you shove that grin in your pocket and take it on home!”
Lol
Look at me Dillon😂.... I love this show so much. The whole cast was one in a million.❤❤❤❤
Gunsmoke had a 20 year run, The lines, scenes and clips are endless, I still watch daily, Gunsmoke is my all time favorite show.
Just can't get enough of that show, absolute genius
Those lines are just too good 😊
Oh gosh I’m slow. I’ve been watching Gunsmoke my whole life of 62 yrs but not until you highlighted the very funny verbal treasures and barbs from the show, did I just now figure out your name. Awesome
Haha, thank you! :D The writing was so clever, and the actors delivered the lines so naturally, it's easy to miss.
“Aren’t you overstepping your authority just a little?”
“Aren’t I WHAT … ?”
😂
My grand father was a Gunsmoke aficionado. Now that I am his age at that time, I can see why. It is comedy built into a western drama. I love Chester and doc’s arguments. Chester, although portrayed as dimwitted sometimes would really nail doc in an argument.
I Grew up watching GUNSMOKE an am middle aged now and will watch it as long as it's on TV.Its still my favorite Western and it is and will always be THE BEST WESTERN SERIES EVER MADE.GOTTA LOVE MATT, & MISS KITTY AND FESTUS, DOC ADAMS AND CHESTER AND CAN T LEAVE OUT NEWLY AND BARTENDER SAM.Always My Favorite and was also my Moma s favorite Western Series.
The b&w episodes had the best writing and cast.
I agree, The black and white episodes are my favorite.
And the half hour B&W's were the better of the two.
Those are the ones I watch the black and white episodes
Love this video and love Gun Smoke. We still watch it every day.
I LOVE Gunsmoke! 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
GUNSMOKE WITH JAMES ARNESS AS MATT DILLON WAS ,IS, N WILL ALWAYS BE NUMBER 1️⃣ COWBOY"FOREVER", JOHN WAYNE COULDN'T TOUCH MATT ♡♡♡♡
In total agreement. James Arness was a real decorated hero of WW11 also. John Wayne never could measure up to James Arness, aka, as Marshall Matt Dillon.
And that’s exactly why John Wayne recommended James Arness for the job.
@@nickiemcnichols5397 JAmes Arness did not want the job. He wanted a movie career, but John Wayne dropped him from his Batjack company saying, "the boys don't want you around towering over them."
James Arness auditioned, and got the job. A star was born. Today, all these years later, you can still see gunsmoke (re runs) on various channels. Whole new generations are tuning in to see Matt Dillon, Kitty, Doc, Chester or Festes.
What a legacy, what a man. What a war hero. He served, saw action, was wounded, awarded many metals, served his Country. One of the brave boys who went to war, so we could have what we have today. Lots of these brave young men stormed the Beach at Normandy, and forfeited their lives. We lost so many brave young men in those dark days.
James Arness is in a class by himself, John Wayne need not apply. Two totally different people. I will take James Arness hands down.
It was nice o
Arness was great but John Wayne is in a league of his own, legend-wise.
Aren't you a little out of your territory Marshal?
I take my territory with me and right now you're in it.
Gunsmoke was one of the best TV shows of all time. Remember very well watching it when i was a kid & i still look forward to it every nite. Guess I'm just an old geezer but i just love watching the whole gang especially Miss Kitty. Now wasn't she just the epitome of womanly beauty & class!!
Thank you for the great entertainment 😊. One of my favorite lines is when a gunman tells Matt that he going to kill him. Matt quickly comes back with “ you don’t know how” and walks away.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. The scene you mentioned is in my first compilation, here: ruclips.net/video/84-z4GkPaII/видео.html
@@OhShaw thanks so much 😊
Two most common lines.. "Don't be a fool" and "Coupla you boys get him over to Percy Crumps"
Love this classic lines
I just keep watching these humorous bits from Gunsmoke... every day and I pass them on to others, if you don't mind! You may not make any money for your efforts, but you sure help others smile - even chuckle!!!
Thank you so much! It makes me happy knowing you (and others) enjoy them, and I appreciate that you share them.
GUNSMOKE RULES! 💪👍
"You're dirt I wouldn't walk on." My absolute fave.
I noticed most of the clips were from the earlier days on the show. MeTV is airing them now and they are great.
I'd be willing to bet there were plenty of laughs causing them to take breaks
Sometimes they even had to separate them, finally, to finish shooting a scene!
Priceless!
You never get bored watching gunsmoke best western show I have ever seen
These never will get old , unlike me lol😆
When that photographer told Kitty to bend over and look at the guy fondly...her response...😂😂😂😂
You always grab the best lines!! Love them!
Great old show.
Thank you so much for sharing these videos 💕I love them 🙏💕
You can't cast chemistry because that grows with time. And they became gold. I sometimes feel as though i am looking through a time capsule and watching real lives play out. Matt, Doc, Kitty, Chester, Festus, Quint, Newly, et. al. - the perfect cast.
Dooley Surrenders had some great Chester bits! Love these videos! 💚💚
I adore Chester and his dry humor.
I check your page all the time hoping for new releases, I was glad to see this one. Thanks for putting it together .
This is great stuff. The time it must take you to find these moments... thank you for taking that time! This truly 'makes my day!'
Thank you, I appreciate your kind words.
Gol dang weather, but he's seen dang-er.😂
Your always telling somebody something. Had to get up off the floor!
Best cast ever
I love this.
Cracked up laughing watching. It was hilarious! Especially between ol' Doc and Festus.
this is delightful. thank you, and please keep it coming.
Thank you :) Volume 4 is in the works.
"You run into any big words there, I'll be glad to pronounce them"😂
Love it! Thanks for this! 😊👏
Thank you...I needed this👍🏽👍🏽
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! I love it!
Thank you for these
little skits
The action between Doc, Chester, Festus, and Dillion is classic. It's a pity though that we could never see Matt and Miss Kitty hook up.
They did.
@@ms.sonshine8878 Yes they did. The love, dedication, and Fidelity was there. Nothing more need be said.
Look close. They did hook up, they just weren't in your face. It was a private affair. Matt climbed those stairs many times to Miss kitty's room.
They were a committed couple.
One show, Matt says to Miss Kitty, "I'll be back later tonight." They were definitely a couple. Another show or two, kitty makes it clear she is "his woman." Can't get clearer than that.
Kitty and Matt, a romance for the ages, not conventional, but a romance nevertheless.
And I'm pretty sure there were some back stairs...
This was so much fun!! I laughed all the way through..Thank you so much for taking the considerable amount of time it must take to put this type of video together.
I hadn't heard some of those. They're great!
The writing was really clever, and the lines delivered so naturally, it's easy to miss some of the funniest stuff. I'm always doing double-takes and rewinding to hear lines again.
I saw an episode there other day where Chester was copying Doc & it was so good i laughed so hard! Love GS
Love Gunsmoke
Love this 😂
I love those older episodes the most .... one line that should be included should be when Chester was explaining to Matt how to make 'a man's coffee' .... you boil it for about a week & just keep addin' to it .....
I love Gunsmoke.
How many takes did they have to do ? I couldn't keep a straight face.
love the way Festus talked
When he first came on the show, he was funny. But later on, when he talked so nasally & whiney, to me, he was just annoying.
I love Festus but I love Chester too. Both actors had a fantastic way of playing their characters. Made you laugh just trying to guess what they were going to do next.
I still watch Gun Smoke 🚬
My favorite watches ery day.
Wow , that was good!
succient
Can't beat that You don't need a doctor line.
No cursing, no sex. Hard subjects and great characters.
I have come to a conclusion and I stand by it. American TV has produced three great shows:
Gunsmoke
Dallas
Justified
Law and order
Great 👍🏻
In what???
Huh?
What you just said.
What'd I say?
I don't have any idea in the slightest .
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Show was amazing with Chester I always though Festus was a little too cartoony, more like a character Mel Blanc would dream up for Looney Toons.
"Said what? What you just said, Oh!"...Who's on First!
Very funny
Es mi serie favorita pero la de ieran de pasar en español
James Agnes’s has trouble with his leg in the last seasons of gunsmoke .
Arness was shot in the lower leg by machine gun fire in WWII, and it caused him pain the rest of his life (and throughout Gunsmoke's 20 seasons). He hid it better in the early years, but the last 8-10 years, especially, it got progressively more obvious...and more painful. I thought it suited his character, who was also shot in the leg numerous times.
James Arness was a WW2 war hero. As a young man, very young man, they all were those brave souls, he deployed to Anzeo, where he was wounded by machine gun fire. He had pain and a slight limp from this injury all his Life.
James Arness was a war hero, incredible man.
He brought Matt Dillon to Life, and, in so doing, built a legacy fir generations to come.
LOL... 2:26 is my pick!
I’m not paid to be friendly!!!
"Oh,i don't know.I've seen God dangger" :)
I never understood why they thought guint would have stole the shew.when people was drawed to gunsmoke before he came..
Hi, do you remember what season & episode were Matt, Chester & Doc, Hear a gun shot and Chester says what was that, And Doc says sounds like somebody couldn't wait for one of your pin boxes.
5:45
Inane, inconsequential, inability, incongruous, insane, inept and inordinate ... Festus only need know what inebriated is ... drunk as a pole cat.
Can you post season 18 episode 7 the fugitives?
Sorry, I can't post full shows here. We get dinged for that. The ones that slip by eventually get pulled, or they adjust the audio so they end up sounding like chipmunks. We have ALL episodes, complete, and uncut on our FREE forum: JamesArness.Proboards.Com. if you decide to join, reply to me here so I know to look for you and can expedite your registration.
