This is what happens when you're not allowed to hurt anyone's feelings.
But, they are hurting my feelings HARD -- I'm ashamed to be on the same planet as these "comedians"
Not just that..
This is what happens when you dont care about ratings, you control the market and your goal is to push politics instead of making a good story, being funny etc.

Gilbert Gottfried once said something along the lines of "SNL has never been more than a mediocre restaurant in a great location."
Did Gilbert include himself in that mediocre restaurant? The cast makes the show, and I can't recall him being funny on SNL, notwithstanding what he's done elsewhere.

I haven’t seen SNL in years. Good to know I didn’t miss anything. This is literally like watching State controlled TV from North Korea.
I remember Matt Foley doing a SNL scared straight skit where he told the kids if they go to jail he will "make them his bitches" (very funny)
Nowadays that would be considered very misogynistic and would be verboten. So all you have left is politically sanitized skits AKA NOT FUNNY
@@MikeBarbarossa Had Chris Farley not passed, Matt Foley and his political incorrectness and misogyny would be welcome any day of the week.
@@jamesanthony5681 You are actually right. They would be welcome by many or maybe even most folks but there would be that small crowd of LOUD MOUTH WOKE LIBERAL IDIOTS that get offended by everything! Matt walsh’s reaction is the funniest thing in the whole video 😂
I went over to my parent’s house a few months back and spend a night there and they always used to watch SNL when I was a kid and let me stay up and watch it with them. This was 20-25 years ago. I remember back then it wasn’t really that funny, but it was at least entertaining. I found out they still watch it because they had it on that night so I sat down after not seeing it for so long, and man… it was BAD. Like seeing a comedian bomb his performance at a show, only they found an entire cast of them and gave them what used to be the most prestigious spot for a comedian to achieve. I swear to god there wasn’t a single skit that even seemed like humor was even attempted. And the crazy thing it, my parents didn’t laugh either. Or smile. It was like watching commercials. Honestly it made me kind of sad, but also confused as to why in the hell they or anyone else would sit through an entire episode of this, let alone reserve a block of time on a Saturday night and PLAN on watching it when you could literally (and I DO mean ‘literally’) have a better time watching paint dry. I don’t care that much about politics but holy fuck watching SNL felt like the worst attempt at indoctrinating me. It’s basically just CNN now, they both do the same amount of reporting and are also the same in terms of hilarity. No wonder television is dying so quickly and being replaced by the internet. Why the fuck would you suffer through SNL when you could find something actually funny online? Chris Farley and Robin Williams must be rolling in their graves.
I feel like maybe your parents still watch it in the hopes that there may actually be a joke in there somewhere at some point. 🤷🏻♀️ I agree SNL is not funny at all anymore. It is truly painful to watch just these clips on here. Matt is funnier than SNL!
SNL: "Can you write? Do you have comedic writing talent and references?"
Applicant: "Nah, but I can check off half a dozen intersectionality boxes."

Wtf is intersectionality?
@@JoeSmith-dl9ok it's some crap that's trending recently that just means "How many marginalized groups can I be a part of?" Such as: POC, LGBTQIA+, Disabled, Etc. ('woman' used to be one, but I think we're no longer important) The more boxes you can check off, the more "important" you are to the Left because talent doesn't matter, of course.🤦♀️ Try looking it up, they have all kinds of charts available. It's insane how many there are.
But the Left doesn't care about qualifications, they only want to be able to say, "Look at who I hired! Look how inclusive I'm being!"

Funny...it gave me testicular cancer.
SNL is a public health crisis.
SNL is secretly a propaganda machine for the left. Shhhh, keep it a secret.
His deadpan dad humor is the best part of the whole video!
the essence of comedy is authenticity (in coming off as or being spontaneous) and wit (intelligence + memory)..
the difference between funny and cringe is the setting and the commitment.. the rest is subjective perspective based on the individual's experience/background..
there is no punchline or anything remotely stimulating to warrant a reaction besides awkward silence.. (unless u're forcing it Kamala-style)
there is no element of surprise or anything that catches u off-guard..
it feels forced, you don't feel u're watching real people with character (more so generic/formulaic mouthpieces saying generic stuff)
you don't get absorbed in the storytelling or get remotely interested to get drawn into whatever setting that would make whatever they're doing come off as funny..
except to fake people.. cuz those skits definitely feel corporate produced and dead/empty from within.. like you get the feeling that none of those 'comedians' or actors actually had any creative input over the content.. or at least don't enjoy or believe in what they say.. so it would naturally come off as phony and forced..
it's like how explaining the joke ruins the joke.. except there is no joke, yet the skit feels like it's trying to explain/communicate sthg nonetheless..
tl;dr it got every single element or component in the exact opposite of what it should be.. it's like they've done everything perfectly in order to make sure their is no humor anywhere no matter which angle/perspective come from..
Real people do not think this is funny. I have 2 teenage boys. Their generation is back to "dark humor"...as the pendulum swings back.

Part of what made SNL funny growing up as a teen in the 90’s was going back to school Monday and talking about SOME of the skits with classmates during the school week. When I went to college in the 2000’s I honestly can’t recall a single time I heard anyone talk about SNL except to remember a funny skit of theirs that happened back in the 90’s.

@Sunset's Channel nah you good
I laughed harder at this than anything SNL has put out in 15 years, and I didn’t even laugh at this.
Wow... "laughing at your grandmother's death"I guess "grandma" knew you were a hateful evil thug and kept you outta her will...LMAO...
Matt is my favourite comedian
Matt makes his videos so entertaining 😂
That really is so bad, like I had chronic depression and this is legit bringing it back, that and saying “legit” in 2022
I should personally thanks Mr. Walsh for sacrificing his eyes & ears watching & listening to that
Jesus Christ, I didn’t realize it was this bad. This is atrocious. I have never seen a show phone it in this hard. SNL is comedically bankrupt.
It’s great that funniest part of the skits is seeing Matt react to them
Oh my god. The first girl is literally like Dee Reynolds when shes trying to do a comedy tour...the humur/impressions/voices are indecernable.
Sounds like he's talking about the view..lololol.
When is Matt coming back. This week has been dark, and meaningless without the sweet baby leader.
Let me predict the future: Matt sees it, or not. And he bans you from the show.
To quote gimilie “you find more cheer in a graveyard”
Have to bring these videos back someday lol this is actually how I found Matt about 18 months ago or so.
You know you're doing bad when Will Ferrell doesn't even want a part of it...
Wow I didn’t realize just how bad that show has become.
I didn't either. Haven't seen it in years.
SNL can be funny at times, Matt just picked the worst sketches of the last few shows
