    These MGs at the $ are just fine for most families. They look good and have what’s important for daily use in them.

    Bought mine a couple weeks ago. There is simply no competitor at this price range. Got the essence with all the goodies for less that would've cost me to get the basic model of the Kona or the Subaru XV. To me it's a no brainer.

      @@oh_ze has driven the soul out of it since I bought it. Have not had any issues with the car thus far. It drives well and has kept up with all the demands. It does get a bit noisy on highways but the boot capacity is tremendous for a small SUV. Still very happy with my purchase.

    I like the 1.5 lit engine version, it's cheap to run and maintain because there is no turbo and the 4 speed auto are also old technology. I only use the car for metro driving and mainly to and from work and weekend shopping. Best if MG also send the 1.5lit version with sunroof to oz. In fact, the best selling version in china is this 1.5 lit engine with sunroof.

    Already got a ZS EV. It's the quietest, smoothest, the quickest and the cheapest to run despite of biggest price tag of the ZS. Even better the ZS EV has a Euro NCAP 5 star rating.
    I think the ZSs on this vid are still good to have as long you can put up with the performance.

    Mine has to many issues, radio hasn’t worked in months, Head unit has been replaced, but still has issues, Apple CarPlay won’t work properly, and worse the Stability Control Alarm comes on when ever it feels like it, you never when and the steering becomes very heavy, even after the product recall was taken care of, it has been updated so many times. Though this has been an issue since the first week I bought it in March 2018. Wish I had never bought mine

      Chris P Bacon I have they kept fixing, then 2 weeks sometimes give or take 2months the issue was back, they have replaced parts and same thing happened, they gave me a 2019 ZS Essence loan car and it had the same issues, but thankfully MG did the right think and just bought back my the car

      Thankfully they bought the car back as I didn’t want another MG the ones they gave me to drive while mine was continually in to try and fix had the same issues or other ones. Finally have a car that I have had absolutely no issues with and love it

    • @susanneburton8077

      Shannon Gunstone the dealer gave me to full price back, (but was given permission from MG to do it) but didn’t get me to sign non disclosure by mistake, so I can talk about it. He says because of that he can’t get he’s money back from MG but he resold the car anyway, feel sorry for the person who got it. So don’t ever buy a car that is being sold inside it’s warranty it possibly has been bought back, get something in writing. It took a lot was blocked from MG’s social media pages

      The 1.5L and 4 speed are old technology that's tried and true.
      The newer 1L T and 1.5L T are new but the 7 year warranty means MG have faith in them. Both the Chinese and MG are experts at small displacement engines and with their R&D plant in Britain, they're certainly putting the MG engineers to good use.

    • @louiscypher4186
      @louiscypher4186 3 года назад

      NCAP's been dog shit for years, i wouldn't trust any rating of it. Crash avoidance shouldn't play a factor in a crash rating system.
      Not being a lout, coked out trucker or an alcoholic mother too lazy to walk the kids to school, i'm more concerned about how likely i am to walk away after someone hits me then i am worried about drifting into on coming traffic or forgetting how to operate a brake pedal.
      But build quality is certainly a concern though.

    MG’s and other Chinese manufactured vehicles for sale in Australia are not really up to the mark competitively other than possibly on price. As mentioned, they have a way to go. With the trade disputes on many fronts between Australia and China gaining swift momentum, I would expect to see a sharp decline in these vehicle sales based on consumer sentiments. Potentially a full retreat from the market may happen should trade war escalations influence consumer purchases of products from China and sales tank completely.

    Money talks, what a good deal, yeah! So have a closer look at the car components in use, if they fail and what can be done repairing them - who is saying repaired?....they can not be repaired, they have to be thrown out and replaced with a newy! In fact the entire car is considered to be a throw away item, any plugs are made for a one time use and this reflects in it's cost price. Seven year warranty sounds great, soooooo what will happened if anything goes wrong after ten years? There are hazzels right now in regards of getting spare parts as parts are taken out of other stocked cars on sale as customers will not wait until a replacement part eventually arrives . This is all fine until one day when the customer has to do the running around to get spares for this brand! It's a dead car driving!

    • @AOWarwick
      @AOWarwick 4 года назад

      @@lukeyrjb1986 They can call themselves lucky, all those new car buyers with a long warranty get their box on wheels one way or another somehow fixed and if not they get a replacement car for the time been. This could take right now with the virus shut downs quite for a longer while as expected. A big headache for the dealership as stocking parts is dead money, they do not stock all that much. I know for a fact - it was whispered to me: they pinching parts from a new car on display to keep the ones from customers on the road and hope that times will change and they can get some parts soon so they can keep on selling what they stock. Two decades ago and events like this repeating itself. We bought a new imported car and the winders / windows and inner door handles just snapped off after two months. The dealership replaced them and they snapped also off and this game did repeat itself until the dealer told us: We took everything out of the cars we had in stock as the same thing is happening all over Australia and they run out of parts. We offer you a replacement car ( another brand) for the time been witch we drove for another six months before we had "our" car back. All parts made from the same "plastic" could not cope with the Aussie UV rays and just snapped off so they had to change the entire production for this brand.

  • @safwansaid5139
    @safwansaid5139 5 лет назад

    we could look past the 'made in china' lable, but whats dragging this new gen of MG is its apparent cheap plastic, seriously try to go into the showroom, get inside any of them and try to knock every part of the interior and experience how hollow and tacky everything feels. would better be off with a normal boring standard car with more substance compare to a flashy tacky looking one that isnt going to become a potential hazard to you or other drivers. shame because the new MG looks good, if they could make them feel sturdy and more depth and no need to rely most of em digitally like just basic analogue, people wont have worry that much due to incompetent software design (like most thing coming out from china)
