Impressive vehicle for the money, we found it economical, roomy and dynamic enough when driven spiritedly, this was the 1.5, still to drive the GM 1L Turbo Auto more than a few miles, overall both very good for the money and with a 7 year warranty.
@@wax333 We know. But they still use MG engineers in Britain. Panu was saying she was wrong in saying they're made in China. They're made in Thailand with the other big brands.
The big questions would be is how this car would go long term for reliability yes it has a seven year warranty but if a owner kept one of these a bit longer say ten years is it going to go the distance or is it going to fall to bits and cost heaps.Maybe a used Toyota rav4 is a better bet.
Test drive one for yourself. For a new car it has several Facebook pages just dedicated to this one model. Rare considering it’s only been out for a year
Sorry dear thats incomplete review and ratings are based on family likings. Was it 1.5 or 1.0Turbo? Fuel Avg? Need to be improvised otherwise nice efforts 👌
Garry56 I've watched some reviews from some UK car reviewers many months back, so I can't confirmed if I remembered properly but a turbocharged 1L and naturally aspirated 1.5L should be available... Transmission wise, I've only seen the auto being tested, though I recalled a manual being mentioned for the naturally aspirated 1.5L engine...
The boot is 100 litres bigger than a Kona And it has a normal torque converter not a dct why should it lurch at the start It also has a spare wheel it’s a pity the reviewer did not know these things
i got triggered when she started comparing the boot size to Kona... the Kona's boot is tighter than a D in a B.. maybe she should stick to reviewing lipgloss products
Pay the extra money and get a better car. Bought this car a year ago and I have spent so much time at the Service Dept. Tyre Warning light didn’t go away until they fixed the issue, Stability Control Warning issues even after the Recall. Head Unit played up, they eventually replaced it, but even that is now playing up. CarPlay plays up, phone won’t always work or connect and yes I have an iPhone. With the Stability Control I have had issues with the steering.
thank you. pleased to hear someone comment with their actual experience rather than it's Chinese so it's rubbish. My wife is considering purchase, really like the looks, took it for a drive but that motor size... I just found it wanting...
Even the loan car they gave me had the same issues. MG have bought the car back it had so many issues they couldn’t fix, they downloaded the info from the car and sent it to China, they found something wrong and no one would tell me what it was even the Service Dept mechanic wasn’t told, so I saved just a bit more and bought a Mitsubishi ASX.
Not the 2 base models but it does have emergency braking (AEB) with forward-collision warning, as well as adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, lane change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert in the higher levels
Truly useless review. She knew nothing about anything other than cosmetic. And kept saying this person felt this way or that. Horrendously underwhelming. Massive thumbs down. Maybe review something important other than dual front air bags lol.
Just recently i used a brand new base model one for few days the gas mileage was worst, very bad ride and handling and very noisy from the cabin like door handles and dashboard particles were wriggling during driving in a county road or town I would never buy a chinese brand Moreover i would never recommend these brands to my friends and family
They got it all wrong. If I would wand something like 'the biggest for the smallest amount of money' I would go for the Dacia Duster. MG? If they would make a car as much fun as the old ones, I would be happy to pay a premium. This thing has no right to be called an MG. It's cheap and chearfull, if you have no clue how a fun car should drive. I can't stand it.
Just remember ladies and gentlemen, what a car costs you is not always the cheap price of admission, this thing is likely to be as reliable as and have the resale of the dodgy Chinese takeaway that it is. Plus the engine is pathetically small, and it takes a dump on a well loved brand’s history. Buy at your own peril.

Some slightly earlier versions of Toyota Camry's scored 4 stars but nobody ever complained.

Another great review from Nedahl although engine specks and warranty, service details would have been good.
Could you do a review of the MG3 pretty please
Morris Garage were famous vintage roadsters, then 80s turbo hatchbacks and a saloon until hiatus, now a gas-guzzling yet reckless FWD SUV.
This review felt kind of biased from the get go... maybe something against Chinese cars?

I thought that too! It looks to be a storm drain behind the car.
