There is 1 specific spot to throw pots effectively. Go behind the alter with the flower courtyard and climb up the wall where it's broken. Make you way around on the top of the wall until you get to an elevated area (it's the area you can see above the main archway to leads to the flowery courtyard. This is the spot to throw furnace pots from. Also, use the Companion Jar talisman if you have it.
@@asapkia for me it was much easier killing him from up top. Once I knew it was possible to get up there only actually took 3 or 4 tries to get up there
Two leg jump, just spawn the horse and the frames will protect you. Fire particles before the fire rock attack, circulate with your horse. Single leg stomp on the ground, the moment it hits the ground jump (might be a bit later depends on the distance as the impact travels on the ground), don't be at the front to avoid grab and the slap attack. Make sure to crit on the head when the golem is down, lock on the head to quickly see which side is it.
I know it’s 3 months too late but for anyone else: fighting in water = use lightning. Ancient Dragon’s Lightning Strike destroys the furnace guy in the field, stuns and eventually staggers him for a crit on its head. Besides following OP’s advice on the timing of the dodges and exploiting Torrent’s i-frames, I used: Flame, Protect Me incantation Jellyfish Shield to buff Golden Vow Flock’s Canvas Talisman Lightning Scorpion Charm Flamedrake +2 (the best I have at the moment) Godfrey Icon Called in Ancient Dragon Knight Kristoff because he’s tanky enough and does lightning damage. Used Erdtree Heal and Blessing of the Erdtree to keep HP up for Kristoff and myself, only blue flasks. Ancient Dragon’s Lightning Strike is chargeable so Godfrey’s buffs it, Jellyfish does as well. Used that incantation 3x and he’s staggered waiting for a crit, so I just used a Royal Knight’s Resolve Misericode +25 to crit him while he’s down, spam lightning and heals as necessary but the incantation was dealing about 18-20k damage (I think I’m NG+7 but don’t remember). TL;DR: learn to dodge his moves, spam Ancient Dragon’s Lightning and heals. Have a weapon ready for the crits. Boost your fire resistance.
I don’t know the terms but he definitely fell for me after 3 stun lock or stance break sounds, whatever the term is. I’m NG +7 and beat him with Ancient Dragon’s Lightning Strike, then a Royal Knight’s Resolve Misericorde for the crit finish. But definitely falls. If you’re using a melee build then good luck 😂 Fight takes too long just biting his ankles. Since he’s standing in water (the one in the field), lightning was doing 18-20k damage a hit. The one in the video just needed a few pots, hardest part was the parkour to the right spot (in the comments I found the best place).
I put on fire prelate armor, flame drake talisman, pop a fireproof pickled liver, and use flame protect me spell and what ever else i want if i fight him on horseback i might use lance talisman but mostly everything else i keep the same you could equip a weapon hes weak to
Once you know how dodge the attacks or throw pots it's pretty easy I would say. It's just figuring it out and then they are all no hard to beat. I remember my first time I thought why they put such a tough enemy there. With time and experience you realize that they are not that strong after all.
The one near the ruins you can throw furnace pots. The other one that wakes up from the ground I just regular attacked him , I was with a lightning perfume with ash of war so it couldn't even attack me. ruclips.net/user/shortsAy1uBDgJbew Maybe you can get the other one also close to the ruins but I already eliminated him so I couldn't try it out.

Thanks for this got up there and managed to beat him easily using that method
IDK WHATS HARDER getting up there or just killing the golem himself

Does anybody have a tip for the golem that's just in the field? Because I can't get high enough to throw pots into his head

Is my game broken? When I stance break the other furnace golem (the one in the open) HE DOES NOT FALL. He stops for a moment and then keeps going.
you need to stance break him three times for him to fall

Do you have to do something before you can wake up the fire giant? I tried throwing a heavy fire pot into the golem and it never woke up.
It's a heavy furnace pot , you're using a less powerful one

Just lost 250k runes :/ I thought this MF is easy like the other one. Nope. Now I need a good tactic 😅
why is this enemy stronger than the dlc and main game final boss and all other bosses put together 😂 what a POS idea for a character
