I'm watching a screening Blade Runner - Final Cut at my local cinema tonight, and I'll be listening to this in my earbuds as I watch along. Thanks for posting!
I've had 5 big cases full of dvd's (around 400) pretty much stored away for the past 5 years. I Opened them up a couple of weeks ago and I realised I had the final cut of blade runner still in it's plastic cover. I'd seen the cinema version before a few times and always found fords narrators voice hilarious and almost out of place (I later found he did this on purpose in hopes the studio wouldn't use it) but the film had such an amazing style and tone that I could get past it easily, but after watching the final cut I can definitely say the film is a masterpiece. it's such an interesting idea and vision of a distopian future that it's still more modern and visually stunning than anything we've seen since. Even though it isn't my favourite film, it may be my favourite performance from an actor by Rutger Haue. It is up there with the best that have ever did it
You prolly dont care but if you're bored like me during the covid times you can stream all of the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. Been binge watching with my gf for the last couple of weeks xD
Came for Buuraid Rahneir, left when I found out it's that Alien jerk doing the movie with that sappy pontificating robot ending. /As is probably obvious, I couldn't be more kidding but the truth is this movie was an acquired taste. Like a fair number of people at the time it was released, I saw Harrison Ford in Sci-Fi movie when Star wars was fresh in everyone's minds and somehow felt bait and switched with unexpected noir and a bad guy that gets the upper hand by monologuing like no other bad guy at the end. Of course it's brilliant for what it is, and it's become a treasured favorite after a few viewings. Hey Carpenters The Thing wasn't well received either at the time. Different reasons for not liking it, but hey us old folks don't always get it the first time around.
Why does google see this as okay? This is stuff taken directly from a DVD put to clips of a movie. Yes whatever legal thing that says showing clips is okay while talking about it. This is a track from a sold DVD.
hey Cinema voice please find: 1. Any of the Nolan movies DC 2. Any Spielberg movie commentary 3. Stallone movies: a. The Specialist commentary b. Cobra commentary 4. True Lies commentary

Great stuff! Thanks.
I loved the voice over, main reason I watched it :)
Shout-out to Hy Pike who plays the seedy Taffy Lewis. He could be straight out of a 1940's film noir. Excellent
THANKYOU AAAHH
