george bijacu what I am going to say is personal and won’t work for all. But the Sankyo, doesn’t try to be a metal instrument, has mechanics that the others cannot match, in my opinion, and I am very attracted to Japanese flute makers in general. That said, I fell in love with this particular flute and that was the X factor. I have tried all the others, and as wonderful as they are, it wasn’t love at first sight like with this one. In the end it will will boil down to which instrument puts the player at ease and comfort so they can sound good, open and speak their true voice with little change,
