    You’re misrepresenting these studies.
Per the first study: Only roughly half of the n = 6,381 participants were between 50-65, not the entirety of the participants. Of those who were 65+ “high protein intake was associated with reduced cancer and overall mortality”. Moreover, the participants “reported” their own protein intake, and participants whose protein intake was only 20% of their total calories were considered to be “high protein”. The absurdity of this percentage is highlighted by the number of participants in the “low protein group” which was only n = 437 out of the total n = 6,381 participants. Talk about cherry picking. They even acknowledge in the study “We underline that our hazard ratios and confidence intervals may be inflated due to our sample size and the extremely low incidence of diabetes mortality in the low protein group.” Further, the diets of the participants weren’t monitored. They could have been eating McDonald’s everyday to get their 20% calories of protein, with the other 80% of their calories being unhealthy, denatured and oxidized fats, and low quality carbs.
Per the second study: The participants in the UK study didn’t eat meat, they ate diary protein, fiber, starch from whole grains, or alcohol. Everything but cheese and alcohol raised IGF-1.
Per the third study: The diets of the participants were assessed every 4 years, but were only asked about their diet in the past year. So assuming each participant could accurately recollect their diet in the past year (which is a big ask), you only get one year of data for every 4 years. Multiple participants undoubtedly experimented with various diets, and other varying factors like exercise regimes and sleep quality, in any given 4 year stretch. Further, there’s no mention that any, or any significant portion of the participants actually consumed a purely plant based diet! The questionnaire (FFQ) that they used to assess the participants diet every 4 years includes a list of animal food groups that they could report having consumed. Instead of actually having any one of the participants on a plant based diet, they simply added up the various plants that the participants consumed, minus any animal products consumed, to create a “plant based index”. Very misleading.
You bring a lot of great information to the table, but your demonization of animal protein is absolutely bananas. Of course foods that increase IGF-1 and mTOR become dangerous when mixed with unhealthy fats and carbs. It’s amazing how sloppy some of these studies can be, and how often activism replaces actual science. A wise man (in this case RUclips’s Vigorous Steve) once said: Don’t just read the title of a study, read the study itself. Boy was he right!

Demonizing one of, if not the most nutritious foods on planet earth! The participants could have been asked how much of any one particular food they ate, bread for example which lets face it most people eat, and the results would have been the same!! If you eat bread there is an association with prostate cancer. Is it the meat or the bread!!?? Seriously, it's beyond me why people keep listening to this rubbish, from so called experts who have no expertise in scientific research instead of thinking for themselves and making their own educated decisions on their health. I think you are half right. Cancer is metabolic not genetic. Cancer cells feed on sugar/carbs/glucose so reducing carbs slows Cancer growth. Seed oils are another bad input. What is creating high insulin are the carbs which causes high triglycerides and inflammation. I will stay low carb but not Vegan. I don't see how meat drives insulin since meat doesn't have carbs unless it's processed and breaded. When you refer to studies you also have to look at who published them and conflicts.

In Asia, people have a high plant based diet and their main sources of protein comes from tofu, chicken, seafood, or pork. Red meat is also very very expensive so almost no one eats red meat in Asia due to the extremely high cost of red meat.
Aside from red meat not being widely available in the Asian market, Asians also consume much more garlic than people in North America (at least 20X more garlic). Couple the high garlic consumption and a lack of red meat in the average Asian person's diet, it is these two contributing factors that I find contribute to the extremely low prostate cancers found in Asian men.
I did also test red meat for a year and did find that red meat correlated with extremely difficult bowel movements ( > the next time I had a bowel movement within a day of consuming the red meat even if the red meat was just ground beef or hamburger). I just cut out the red meat out of my diet completely and have not had any problems ever since. However, I do have to take zinc supplements now in order to make up for the zinc found in red meat.
...and if one is constipated (male) then one this also increases the chance of prostate enlargement due to the extra pressure the bowels muscles must exert on the prostate area due to the constipation.
Pork, chicken, and fish, appear to be much easier for the body's digestive system to break down but any larger nuts like peanuts, almonds, walnuts, (or anything bigger than sunflower seeds) also cause severe constipation as well. it just something I noted b/c I also enjoy eating nuts every now and then as well....
The amount you save by not eating meats you will spend on loads of toilet paper.... that I guarantee!
I'm 56 BTW and also Asian but born in Canada.

So Im just playing devils advocate. Some of these studies dont take into factors of other things even with said foods. The conclusion is high meat diet and belly fat are two of the deciding factors. However a healthy high meat diet doesnt leave anyone I know of with much belly fat. If you eat a high meat diet you must cut down your carb intake. If you dont that means especially with red meats you will be taking in large amounts of protein, fat and carbs. If you are not a low carb person and you eat lots of meat it isn't healthy( most carbs are not healthy anyways since they are not natural ones used in processing). It usually means beer, bread and all other processed food from the middle of the store. Now I am no doctor and making no claims but I feel alot of studies are to limited in scope picking out one thing and making conclusions. It is easy for me to say since cancer doesnt run in my family, but Im just saying look at the whole picture of your diet. Id be interested in a study on store bought meat vs natural meat without all the crap they pump into the animals. I of course like everyone else cant afford the healthier meat. All that being said I like the videos and bringing people info.

When I started having problems I sat down and realized I was eating 400-500 grams of carbs a day and only recently started showing weight because I burn it off. Here is the flaw in those meat studies: Differentiating better meats like 100% Grassfed meats or free range which are better (3X more omega3) and contains nutrient dense minerals like selenium, boron, magnesium, zinc that promote glutathione production and boost the immune function etc., also the high contents of omega 6 in grain fed animals are inflammatory. Secondly the beneficial effects shown with lycopene (organic tomatoes + in ev olive oil), broccoli sf to significantly decrease progression of prostate cancer. Numerous foods and herbs (organic turmeric, ginger, oregano oil, green tea, boswellia oil etc etc) can impact disease progression dramatically. Also in combination with low glycemic carbs, good fibers and proper nutrients (Creatine for boosting T cell function) these can minimize Grassfed meats as having any issue. The grain fed meats are definitely more of a concern when coupled with bad nutrition.

Fishes with scales especially pink salmon has a high rate of omega 3 (EPA & DHA) and some nuts and seeds (APA) also has a high rate than grassfed meats that I never heard of has omega 3. Let us go a little deeper........grassfed animals and fishes with scales feed on plants (algae) and grass so that is where they get nutrients from. You ain't do research properly my friend.

Very important topic. Thing is, I’ve seen too many people reverse all kinds of diseases and health problems by switching from a vegan diet, sad American diet, and other diets to a carnivore diet. I’m not saying this advice is outright wrong, but how do we know there aren’t other dietary factors in those studies that correlate high animal based consumption with higher risk of prostate cancer? A lot, maybe most studies that measure dietary intake are questionnaire based. So if someone takes in a lot of meat and dairy, they’ll mark that down on the questionnaire. But a lot of those people often eat a lot of fast food, processed food etc. I’ve yet to hear of a study where it clearly shows a group of people who eat a lot of meat, dairy, dietary cholesterol and saturated fat, but not fast food, processed food etc. I’m just saying a lot of studies that want to say saturated fat and meat are bad, conveniently leave out what else those people are eating. I’ll stick with a meat based, animal based diet and cut out the crap that I used to eat a ton of and see how I do

Test IMO can only be supported by the compound found in these foods that can cause issues . For instance choline in egg yoke has been shown to increase P C , [not egg whites Thank God} also something in chicken and turkey skin is an issue ,but not the meat itself .It drives me nuts when they are not specific ,,freaking people out not to eat eggs and grass fed meat is nuts ,,and no salmon or mackerel ,,not buying that . Mix up your diet ,be versatile with it

As I understand from Dr. Gundry, Milk from a cow shouldn't be consumed because it has a growth protein in it. That goat cheese and milk is better for us, not having that protein.
I believe fasting for about 30 hours helps us into Ketosis where the bad cells are eaten up through the process of Autophagy, helping reduce our risk of cancer. Research Keto.
I saw the story of a European white woman that ate 3 eggs a day, living to 117. I pay more for pasture raised eggs. Maybe it would be better to cut out the egg whites, since that has the high protein. Is one gram of protein per pound of body weight too high a recommendation for some people ?

Once again a RUclips video quoting a scientific study on the effects of foods on IGF-1 concentrations and what to avoid.
A 2022 study in the UK (Associations between food group intakes and circulating insulin-like growth factor-I in the UK Biobank: a cross-sectional analysis)
''In this cross-sectional analysis of over 430,000 individuals in the UK Biobank, we found positive associations between intakes of non-oily and oily fish and circulating IGF-I concentrations. We also observed a modest positive association between intake of poultry and IGF-I concentrations. No other strong associations were observed for intakes of fruit, vegetables, red meat, processed meat, or cheese and IGF-I concentrations.''
So take your pick on who to believe.
