Unsure if its intentional, but in terms of the original Dragonball, it is mostly based on the journey to the west, and one of the first characters to truly rival Sun Wukong was another monkey who used dirtier tactics, but also copied Sun Wukong.
So the fight between Goku and Caulifla really fits in the original Dragonball especially with the Ozaru fight
I think it was confirmed by Toriyama that it was based on it. Even the name "Son" was inspired by Sun. He originally planned to stop after Pilaf Saga but he continued because it was loved

This story turned out a lot darker than I expected. This isn't as lighthearted than most other stories at all, which is a nice change of pace.
Glad to see Caulifa can turn triangles into squares.... now question is if she can turn all those squares into a circle...

Remembering how good Dragonball actually was, I don’t doubt that this spinoff would be a hit. The simpler stakes with a new character & how they would react in Toriyama’s DB world would be so entertaining to watch.
Judging by the end, Frieza somehow kept his memories even after the universes being reset, managed to travel to Universe 6, and tracked down Caulifla.
The Saiyans being with him means Frieza may have decided not to delete Planet Vegeta, but took care of Goku before he's sent away.
makes me think this was the birth of dragon ball multiverse kakarotto.
i was thinking it was teasing to sompthing like what if the freza force was from universe 6 or sompthing like that.

That doesn't seem like it. Cualifla's family and pibara also remembered her. So it looks like the zenos didn't reset the timeline. They just simply put caulifla back into her original universe. Kale, caulifla and the other saiyans also remembered, so none of their memories were erased. That means everyone who fought in the T.O.P. is still alive.
Frieza was such a menace that he refused to forget shit.

The whole part that ruined it for me was that they used other anime characters for the story and had went to diffirent planets like bro if you wanna be diffirent from other stories send them to the same planet chatectars that are the MC of the what ifs always get sent to diffirent planets

IMHO im still not a fan of shoehorning Caulifa's Cannon self into the story when she was training in Yardrat its a bit of a lazy copout usualy your What-ifs are really good its just this is the only one that has a bit of a flaw in it she needs to be Seperated from her Cannon self to have a True What If Story as Goku's Sister
This story was alright but I didn't like the twist of caulifa still being connected to universe 6 and the fact zeno reset the timeline it just doesn't feel like a what if to me since it's suppose to be a story not connected to the original story at all making it its own story but still the story was enjoyable at the first half but after the Frieza saga it just didn't sit well with me but still good story

I love this story but one little thing I didn't like caulifla unlocking UI from kale getting hurt like it's a super saiyan form, that's not how ui works at all the whole point of it is clearing your mind goku unlocked it by getting hit by his own attack which was stronger then his own blue form but he still cleared his mind to achieve it that like goes against everything the form stands for that's why goku could never unlock it while being angry or any emotion he cleared his mind of everything in the form your body moves on its own without thoughts as it's defense and only maybe using thoughts with the offense just a little criticism but keep it up
And the reason I'm saying this is because she has a big ego so it seems more fitting for her to have ultra ego

A creator called Damon: What If did both What if Cell was Reincarnated and What if Chi Chi became a Saiyan before Salad Saiyan did either of those scenarios and they're both completely different. Just because one creator has a specific interpretation on a particular what if scenario doesn't mean all creators will share it.
Biggest surprise in this story was Tien pulling a Vegeta during buu ark.
The ending has me in tears, now that I’ve fully processed it.

Hey Smugstick can you make "What If Caulifla ,Cabba,and Kale were the siblings of Goku,Vegeta , and DBS Broly"(aka Caulifla as Goku's sister , Cabba as Vegeta's brother and twin of Tarble , and Kale as Broly's sister)
Now that's a good idea, I definitely wanna see a series where Cabba is brothers to Vegeta and Tarble, how would Cabba's involvement in being born in U7 affect both Vegeta and Tarble

@Shapurnicu I know that MasakoX is doing a story on What-If Caulifla was the daughter of Goku
that would be overkill, because 1. Caulifla would take the path of Goku. 2. Cabba would take Vegeta's path, basically ultra ego and ssbe and 3. Kale and Broly have a large amount of rage inside them, and maybe Caulifla would encourage Goku to train more, heck if Goku and Broly fused they would be the male version of Kefla, but probably more powerful because the fusion could be called Broku, he might have the same transformations as kefla exept it's combined with ssg? It could either be a controlled Lssj but long haired but keeps the eyebrows or something like a orange color?
Sadly I don’t think things would go differently then canon, in canon only one could enter the escape pod goku was in and I doubt bardock could steal a 2nd pod as I highly doubt the first went unnoticed, thus meaning caulifla dies with bardock and the others, and since cabba was pretty weak till he unlocked ssj I doubt he would go with vegeta on missions and even then he would be like nappa, dead. And as of kale she would probably be on vampa and would not be found till dbs:Broly and even then she would also get bodied by gogeta.
However if someone could make a smart way to have them included that would be epic!

If Caulifla can turn triangles to squares, a square has 4 seperate 90° angles, 4 × 90 = 360, and a circle is 360°, than SHE CAN TURN ALL THOSE SQUARES INTO A CIRCLE.
