I agree. The fact that they've kept that bolt action when we're overrun with sidelevers is a winner. So glad that they've come away from those awefull regulators. They could regain my trust in their pcps with one of these. I keep hearing about how light they are as well, now to a piont that's got to be a good thing since carrying around an R10 in the field can't have been an enjoyable experience for the hunters amongst us. OK so it's not an r10 but I think it's a sensible slik looking retreat back to what they know works well for them. Nice job.

All-in-all it's a great rifle. I, for one, think that the bolt suits the gun perfectly. One gripe though; there are lots of reviews that question BSA's love affair with the quirky 13mm dovetail. Why retain it when you're committing time and money to a "complete" redesign? An ideal time to settle for what has become the industry standard and give we customers a decent choice of scope mounts has been missed. Next time, BSA, settle for a 11mm dovetail. P.S. I don't think a picatinny would be right for this gun with its gorgeous stock.

Nah stop putting gauges on the end tube under the barrel it isn't safe. I've had an R10, Ultra and Scorpion but now I have an FX I much prefer their way of doing things.

Ayup lance which fx have you got and is it any better than the bsa guns

Carl. FX Dreamline tac. It's way better than the R10 MK2 I had. The Scorpion and Ultra were very good and I enjoyed them. The FX is just more versatile. I can change the calibre, change barrel length tune it on the fly without taking it to pieces. I like it a lot.

Shame about that the old one was a decent air rifle.

The end cap is poorly designed it's only held on by a rubber ring..it won't last long before it falls off... should come with a silencer and side lever version...
