This is so inspiring. I happen to be an artist and I drive door dash full time and I dont want to do it anymore, I work tirelessly and then I barely get by. Then I paint in my studio. My friend said I should host paint parties, I really live your videos and I am going to check out your website

A. Who do I want to teach: Adults and older children who have their adults with them.
B. Why I want to do paint parties: 1. An additional income stream and an ace in the hole in case the difficult public school situation gets worse. 2. Mentoring--seeing smiles on the faces of people as they learn new things and try something they may be scared of.
C. What's my special way: I've been told that I'm entertaining to watch; I have 35 years of experience and mistakes to talk about lol--I know there are more things that I will bring but can't think of them right now. .....But if I don't jump in, I'll never do it.

Hello, I'm a very shy person and afraid to speak in front of the ppl. I have no problem instructing the class but I have a problem with starting out. Like introducing myself, I want it to be short and simple so I can get the party started. I have did one event this past weekend it turned out great lol it was just the beginning that bothered me.
It really comes down to practice makes perfect! I would get so nervous standing on from of these ladies and wonder what they are thinking of me, but I have learn that more of them are nervous being there and painting! Plus! As you do more events, you develop your own "speak" before each party and end up saying the same thing EVERY time: Welcome, Thank yous, about me, what we're painting, how i'll show them each step, we'll take a break in the middle, be careful with the supplies, and HAVE FUN! Then... we start painting! But, it's almost always the same introduction now and I don't even have to think about it!

Men pay to paint in my State. I made $19k in two weeks. I wouldn't count them out! They're the best advertiser's. One guy brought his Mother and she brought friends. That group of people came back 4 times. I offered canvas , wood, vases and taught some upcycling. The word got out and I'm always booked! One tip, Men like Abstact painting projects!

I just got hired by a paint nite company as a host/teacher. I haven’t even taught my first class, just assist so far but will be starting soon. I didn’t know this was even a thing but it’s been fun so far. It hasn’t taken me long to see how You could easily do these yourselves and get all the profits rather than the 90-120 The company pays plus whatever tips. I don’t even get to pick my painting, it’s assigned. Do you think a guy could be successful going off on his own though? Only seems to be women who are hosting these.

Do you ever do slate painting parties? Here in a small town in WV I do slate paint parties and classes,, and have started to see a big boost after posting parties on fb. A grant from the WVHub made it possible, providing everything needed...easels, tables, clamp lights and all supplies. Thank you for this video! This is so encouraging and helpful

Jared Sessions thanks for mentioning this. I feel like I need to put her on tv and set aside time to watch her. Not denying how adorable she sounds, however I just don’t have 45 minutes to watch one tip when I’m trying to get to the next tip from other people as quickly as possible. I guess this is for women who are stay home type. Props for that great personality and quality of the video. Hope she comes up with quick tips though.

Hi, I want to make paint party because first a Love painting and second We need money ( my husband had a brain stroke and cant work , need a lot of tips , what kind of paint , if you use stencil you give them only to use in class ?
Hi! So sorry to hear about your husbands health issues. I can relate when my family went through my health scare a few years ago!!! It can be so hard! I love that we both share a love of painting and teaching paint parties is a great way to bring in more money. I believe in a profit EVERY party!! The stencils I take to the events are just for the event and the vinyl stencils are a one time use item.
