All the pet stores near me get their fish from Segrest and they are all in pretty lousy condition. I get a lot of fish shipped to me and although they can look a bit rough from their travel they never look as bad as the fish that Segrest delivers.
Look how crowded and unkept these tanks and fish are....it doesn't suprise me at all!
I work for a pet store that gets fish from these breaders and thay are so full of diseases that we usually can expect to lose almost half of the fish we get in I recommend anyone who has a choice to stay as far from them as possible

I felt that way when I sold my Flowerhorn a few years back... he was very well cared for by me and I hope the new owner did the same...
@@theskyisfallingful Fish get happy by their physical emotions not mental emotions. Languages doesn't always come from speech or voice.
I like seeing how that place operates I just wish they sourced their fish better. All of the fish that come to my local fish store are sourced from Segrest. I have bought many peacocks that have turned out to be females after coloring down. Outside of the peacocks the fish seem decent. It's not a place for the purist in the hobby but they provide a lot of ornamental fish for the big box consumers. Thanks for sharing!

Unfortunately their quality has gone down over the years according to a lot of local fish stores ive talked with. All the stores in central fl that ive talked to go with more local breeders.

hmmmm my uncle bought him from a pet store, and had him home and would hear noises in the house at night, that fish scared the hell out of him. Until he figured out it was the fish and gave him away. Who knows maybe the fish was posses lol. Thank you ..
The striped Raphael catfish from the amazon barks occasionally usely when at top of tank or when transporting them around out the tank is when they bark the most .
