When I went to Disney World when I was 7, this was in the place of the original Tiki Room and I was disappointed that the iconic theme song I listened to at home was interrupted.
...Okay, I'll admit, I have rather fond memories of this one. Mostly because I was too busy marveling at the animatronics to pay any attention to the story.
I was so disappointed with this 'under new management' twist on what was otherwise a Disney CLASSIC. I hear they're going back to the original. I'm all for it!
I adored her. I wish that 'adventures in wonderland' was more known. I have the six episodes that they released on VHS still, but I wish Disney would release the rest of the episodes at least on Disney Plus. I was also very saddened to hear of Amelia's passing this past October. Such an incredible talent
@Jztrotter This is from Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, not Disneyland. Their version (Under New Management with Iago and Zazu) had a huge fire. They're bringing back the original now though :)
I saw this show in Disneyland not too long ago and it didn't have Iago or Zazu, which was great. This version pretty much ruined the show, and I've never even seen it! I'm just listening to it now! Far as I know Disneyland is playing the old version, or one nearly identical to the original.
Maybe it’s because in the beginning, it might’ve been an effect for an echo. And near the end of that piece, there’s no echo anymore (I’m not an expert tho)
This version definitely had better music. I know a lot of people didn't like this version and I can see why because Yago was a bit annoying, and it kinda cartoonized a classic attraction. So yeah I understand the bad rep. But It's a certainty to me that this one did have the better music.
They’re bringing the original back thank God the “ new” Version is really really stupid--I mean I could understand bringing some of the birds from the movies into the tiki room but changing how they do their song it’s really fucked up
