Ella and Nat are my number one favorite all-time performers❤
My darling Ella. Her voice makes me melt. Oscar Peterson played the trumpet in his youth, before he played the piano, and was a fine singer. Bay was a brilliant jazz pianist, but became a great singer, like Ella.
What a wonderful film clip of these two great American singers. Thank you marchfishka.
My grandfather loved Nat's work so much.....
Love them!
What's not to like...this is unique..!!
esto, sobre todo el audio, me trae recuerdos de mi niñez
Wow, she completely spaces the lyrics at :38!
"I try to hide in vain
Underneath my counterpane"
Covers it well though. Check out her studio version from a year earlier... absolutely glorious.
j'adore
Ella was singing at Zardi's on Hollywood Blvd. at this time (Fall '57). I and a buddy were wearing the "new" U.S. Army green dress uniform (on a 3-day leave from Ft. Ord boot camp). It was hilarious. Servicemen from other branches saluted us, thinking we were officers. Anyway, we had the privilege of "Lady Jane's" company one Sunday afternoon. She sat with us at our table during the break after her first set.
Ella looked flawless
Watch "China Gate" movie with Mr. Cole 1957

Ella forgets the words
Strange introduction!!
Funny, Nat Cole pretending to dance. But he doesn't sing here. Always great to hear Ella, though.
A far cry from "Oh what a Feeling dancing on the ceiling". Some thought and effort went into this version
So good to see Ella dancing!❤
I love her voice. ^_^
