What's your morning routine in ClickUp? Where do you focus? I'd love to hear your tips! Also, don't forget to comment "Team PD" or "Roles" to vote on what video we should do next!
honestly this video singlehandedly convinced me to buy the course xD holy crap this is exactly what I need! I have AuDHD, a part time paying job, a basically full time job, and the job of trying to fix my health because I am disabled, so the amount of CALM I would get from this set up is amazing! I never feel very tethered in what I need to do when so this would be perfect. I need everything externalized, but my life is so complicated that it's incredibly hard for me to do that.
I started the year with a headache and just overwhelmed with ClickUp and the way I was using this tool in my daily basis. This have been the most productive 15 mins in a long long time. Thank you so much for all your insights and sharing your experience, I just dedicated 30 mins in ClickUp alongside this video and I already feel hopefull for what my daily, weekly and Q routine is going to look like. Thanks!
Oh, this makes me so happy to read! Be sure to check out our other articles and free resources at processdriven.co/hub if you find yourself hitting any roadbumps! ClickUp should be saving you time, not causing you headaches. 😉 Cheering you on!
Both! Team PD and Roles! Your videos are always so helpful - thank you! When we get ready to move to the next stage of hiring we definitely want to join Clicking Up.
This is a crazy important piece to the puzzle , thank thank you for making such awesome videos! With the speed of feature releases and how quickly you adapt, I wonder how much of this still applies to your current workflow.
My morning routine is: notifications -> home page -> team management dashboard (maybe not every day but often). I think we should make a 'my tasks' everything view... thanks!!
This video was helpful. We have a routines area that I am moving over from Asana. We did have a side project task list. We found that this list wasn't helpful over time. The reason was because people wouldn't be self directed to go look at it. They would often forget it existed and projects would sit there for 3 months because no one had accountability on actually doing it. In theory this is an owners dream. What we found works better is that we have this list but they are all assigned to the manager. The manager then re delegates this side project list if we have extra time. Sometimes as the owner I will notice projects or small to dos adding up and I end up telling everyone to get those things done. This is still a work in progress but I find with most organizations even the best employees need to be told what they need to do that day. Also I am wondering why you use the status section on the right in each task when there is a status notice at the top of each section? I am new to clickup and I am trying to figure out how to best utilize the custom fields.

Both options would be great! For hierarchy I'd say Roles Pd Where do you post the roles you are looking for? Your videos have been quite helpful and learning more about systems and processes is always interesting!
I would definitely love more roles defining, and how to integrate that into Clickup. I'm currently using labels to define roles for tasks, but we are all wearing many hats right now... Trying to prep for when we don't.
I would think that the Team PD would be fascinating, especially if they could tell us where they had issues and how you/they solved them. I love the idea of tracking time on a miscellaneous task just to give myself an idea of how long I spend doing the routine morning items.
That is a great idea with the time. So is that a list with the time tasks main categories that just gets re started each time the category is applicable? Thank you.
How to you handle tasks that are routines (reocurring)? For instance if 1 of your weekly tasks is doing your laundry. You want it to reset every week, but only after you have completed it. And you want to also have the ability to show it's completed, but see that it's dormant, so you don'tforget to readd it. etc.
This sounds completely doable. I'd recommend checking out this help doc from ClickUp. help.clickup.com/hc/en-us/articles/6309885016471-Create-recurring-tasks
Great video. Question not related to the content just shared. How do you keep the glare off your glasses when recording? I have a YT channel and can’t get the lighting set up correctly to avoid glare. 😁
Oh this was tough to figure out initially! In reality, it’s super simple...just have the light pretty high! Mine is about 18” to the left of me, 24” in front of me and about 24” higher than my eyes, tilted slightly down. 🤓
Hi Layla! Is there any reason you would still choose to make all Growth Project tasks "dependencies" rather than simply "subtasks" of those main projects? Thank you!
Do you close your routine tasks? for example, if I put check business emails, does someone always have to put down the same tasks? or do just add and leave them open? thanks! great video.
Hey Lewis! Just getting caught up on comments🙈 With routine tasks, each team member has their own. They complete the task and then a new task is created at the set interval. I hope this helps!
Hey Layal, thanks for a great video. Why have you decided to go with location based prioritization? It looks like you could have used ClickUp Priorities for that purpose? Also, what's your opinion on prioritization clients' projects together with those Issues, Routine tasks, Growth tasks and backfill tasks?
I may have missed it but it sounds like you have the main folder with tasks and then you're linking/duplicating the same task into your "ACTION TASKS" folder? If so, why not use priority flags instead and then create a filtered view with URGENT, HIGH, LOW, etc, and favorite those views instead?
We have: FOLDER: Action Tasks LIST: Emergency LIST: Routine LIST: Growth LIST: Idea/Backlog The reason we use Lists instead of Fields and Views is: 1 - Permissions. Only some team members need access to Growth and Emergency. 2 - Load time. We have 100+ Routines. Add to that 100s of Growth Tasks and then the emergencies, we'd need to be really creative with collapsing sections not make loading a nightmare. 3 - Reporting. We report on volume and throughput per category. With ClickUp Widgets, we had more options when grouping by List than if we relied on Field values. :)

Pd
Where do you post the roles you are looking for?
Your videos have been quite helpful and learning more about systems and processes is always interesting!
Hey! Just getting caught up on comments 🙈
When we're hiring, we post open roles here: processdriven.co/careers/
I would definitely love more roles defining, and how to integrate that into Clickup. I'm currently using labels to define roles for tasks, but we are all wearing many hats right now... Trying to prep for when we don't.
Hey Grace! Definitely! I'm adding this to our content ideas list now!
This is great. Is there a way to set a time limit to a task and get a notification when it's over?
Currently, there is not! However, you could use the Due Date + Due Date Time paired with an Automations for "When Due Date Arrives..." to get close!
Cool! any updates on this with Clickup 3?

@@LaylaPomper ahhhhh….gotcha! Thank you!
Hi Layla! Is there any reason you would still choose to make all Growth Project tasks "dependencies" rather than simply "subtasks" of those main projects? Thank you!
Yup! With dependencies I can build wholly separate lists for projects that require unique Custom Fields. With subtasks, I couldn’t. ☺️
Do you close your routine tasks? for example, if I put check business emails, does someone always have to put down the same tasks? or do just add and leave them open? thanks! great video.
