Thank you for sharing. I live in the area and whilst it’s a shame to see the sweet old railway bridges be replaced by characterless concrete paraphets, I am excited for this to open. Let’s hope someone decides to connect Buckingham back to the line via Verney Junction.
@@ianhosier4042 As we know, bus services are either very poor, or non existent in these parts, which will effect the viability of rail services - is if people, like me, have to drive 15 miles to a station as there is no viable bus service, why don't a drive all the way to my destination?
That drone has a heck of a range or was it filmed from a chopper? Can you do an update on progress at Winslow station and how far the tracks have reached from bletchley
It was filmed in segments on the same afternoon, then joined by cross blur transitions to try to make it look like 1 take. To me the transitions are obvious, but chuffed they aren't obvious to others. Thanks!
I agree with the unnecessary HS2, though this video is about EWR, which I think is a more worthwhile project due to no viable alternative route across that part of the country.
It would probably make a bit of a difference if you wanted to get to Birmingham or Manchester, given that HS1 goes from London to Folkestone (and into the Channel Tunnel)…
@@stephengentle2815 Could save a few minutes. But is that worth £100b of taxpayers money, and £25b a year in taxpayers money (HS2's original figures) for subsidies? I'm sitting on the "probably not" side of that fence.
Great video, you will have to go back when the trains are operating. One day HS2 might look like this, just waiting for the track to be laid.
I intend to go back and check build progress over the coming months :)

Or at least provide a decent, integrated, public transport system to link nearby towns and villages with the line.
@@theboy-uk Absolutely! Integrated ticketing and synchronised bus/train timetables!
A bus between Aylesbury and Buckingham via Winslow station would be marvellous

@@theboy-uk let's hope the govt and bus companies see sense and put a bus link in once the new station is open

Another great one.
Thanks!
Amazing video ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks!
All it needs now is some track !
It looks to be getting ever closer to the trackbed being complete, ready for the rails to go in, certainly in the Bicester to Winslow bit
Neverending contruction 😉😁
At least this one doesn't need a mile wide construction site, and is progressing much faster than the disaster that is HS2!
@@theboy-uk Great! Thus it is possible to build on time 😉
terrible music!
LOL, fresh from the RUclips Audio Library 🤣
Ah yes, the railway line that’s crippling this country and its environment. Just stick HS2 train on the HS1 line, won’t make much of a difference
