Indeed it does. At this time in '89, my mom would turn 6, and I'd end up being born 1 year before 9/11

You are completely correct my friend, nobody mindlessly looking down into a smartphone constantly like a zombie these days, the world seemed more relaxed and comfortable back then.

Wow 1989 Manhattan totally trapped in time....something seemed so different about the city back then, you had 80s excess on Wall Street yet the crime rates were very high in the city...it was a time before the city became gentrified it feels like a much more real raw version of New York, pretty cool thanks

It was a different city in a different country back in those days. "The old New York" as many would call it, before Rudy Giulianis cleaning-squad swept through the city polishing it to high-gloss selling the silverware to all sorts of investors. I think by the time this video has been made, America really was the land of the free and had something special to give (especially to me as an East German) - but today it just is no more. It´s become a country where the betrayal of its own people is daily business, and whose Army is involved in slaughter all over the world and busy creating more and even more chaos every hour. Freedom of man is not a public good guaranteed by the constitution anymore, it is an illusion held up by the elite who tries to undermine and to deconstruct it to get each and everyone under their control. Sleep tight, my little babies....maybe you´re gonna wake up when complete supervision and slavery will have been re-established if your nap´s gonna take too long, and it´s your own government who tries to trick you into this - a war against its own people. Just my 2 cents, had I known 20 years before that I would feel like this right now, I would have stopped wearing any clothes with a US flag on them much earlier. I´m not going to make the mistake and equal the US citizens and their administration in my mind - I love you people (or the vast majority of all you bloody friendly, open-minded and simply hilarious Americans I have met to this day) but the same moment I know that your government is evil, making a policy not only against its own people but against millions of others around the world, including us all.

    • @briandenison2325
      @briandenison2325 7 лет назад

They were just as evil and corrupt back then. It's just back then everyone trusted the government and believed the lies. Now with the internet and wiki leaks it's harder for them to hide there crimes. Poll after poll shows the American people no longer trust there institutions any longer and for good reason.

I'm wide awake, Yes this American government is PURE EVIL.
      I Love the old America.
This one we live in today is a FASCISTS, VILE, & EVIL DICTATORSHIP.
IT WILL BE HEARTBREAKING, WHEN SHE FALLS. UNFORTUNATELY MANY OF MY AMERICAN PEOPLE WILL SUFFER LIKE NEVER BEFORE.
OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST IS OUR ONLY HOPE!
AT LEAST FOR MY FELLOW BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN JESUS CHRIST.
AMERICA NEEDS TO REPENT FOR HER SINS, AS DO HER PEOPLE.
May the LORD AND SAVIOR, Jesus Christ forgive those who are blind & deaf to His Saving Grace.
May they HUMBLE THEIR HEARTS & Receive Jesus Christ into their hearts...
      As their Lord and Savior.
In the LORD'S HOLY NAME DO WE PRAY,
      AMEN AND AMEN

@@Mickey007 Wow, you´re kind of a late bird on my comment :) Thank you for your opinion, anyway...please be aware that I wouldn´t publish such a presumptious and pathetic piece of text, today. Reading it over again, it felt pretty awkward and I could feel a blush on my face here and there. Even though I may not have completely changed my mind in the meanwhile, I remember having had a pretty hard time 6 years ago- and I´m also pretty sure that I haven´t been a 100% myself at that time. Since then, I´ve seen a lot, I´ve read a lot of things, I´ve been talking to a lot of people and today, I wouldn´t allow myself to judge the way I did, again. Time has humbled me at least a bit, I guess.
Again: thank you for sharing your thoughts with me, have a good time and please take care of yourself.
