    But geeezus Bill you're barely greeting your guest before you're focused on your alcohol & weed. Are you aware how often you interrupt & talk over your guests??😐

      No, he's just got the PC Keyboard Conspiracy Theories on his "mental" rolodex. Nobody's perfect. Specially most if us underachievers who barely etched out a decent life and often project our frustrations at those who chased a dream and caught it.
      What's that called class? That's right! Jealousy. .

      Definitely. I was in a movie with him in 1982 when I was 16--Evergreen Trail Riide. It was a short film made for the Washington State Parks Department. It was meant to teach trail etiquette. So, James was an on-screen narrator. There were three main groups of characters--motorcycle family, a bird watcher couple and a horseback family. I was "Girl Horseback Rider", lol. But he was so kind and down to earth. And Josh, his son was on location too (before The Goonies). I can't find a copy of the film. It was produced and directed by Peter Starr Productions. Starr was super nice too.

    • @LadyBug1967
      @LadyBug1967 7 месяцев назад

      Laura, I agree with you and I think it was VERY rude. ALSO he must have cognitive dissonance as they say because he hates the word conspiracy theorist and yet he used TRUTHER as you said so beautifully pointed out in exactly the same way-- very derogatory .
      The fact is that any engineer or any working-class guy working in demolition would know it was a demolition event on building number 7 which was never touched by an airplane; never touched by a fire; until demolition occurred. iyt was a classbook example of a demolitio. Furthermore Bill did did research instead of just name calling, he would have known building 7 was used to video tape all of that occurred on a daily basis in the other two buildings and it was kept in that building just in case something might happen as did happen Sept 11, 2001. BUT because they didn't want people to see what truly happened with the planes vis a vis the other 2 buildings,they destroyed building 7: the evidence was burnt up. Sometimes Bill is really stupid and I don't know if it's cuz of the weed or if it's because of his age or maybe he's just not that bright which is also highly possible.

    Bill.....this is the best show I've seen on Club Random. James Brolin is a class act and you treated him with respect. Didn't like that you kept saying the word, "truther," because that word is akin to saying "conspiracy theorist" who, as you know, are not people who like to research or learn real facts. I do a lot of research myself, but I never push information as being the real deal, nor would I call myself a "truther." That's the only thing I didn't really like about this interview.

    Re: 1:05:30: Those who don't know the truth behind the 79-year old woman who was burned by the McDonalds coffee ... and was hospitalized for EIGHT DAYS as a result ... need to look it up because the burns that lady suffered were brutal. Absolutely brutal! McDonalds did a hit job on her afterward in the way they discredited her. This should be common knowledge.

      That case should be studied forever as an example of how decades of aggressive re-framing of an actual event can be twisted by a wealthy corporation so that it becomes an urban legend that the public repeats as fact.
      Everyone who cites the McDonald's "hot coffee" case as an example out of control litigation are repeating a corporate-funded lie.
      That lawsuit should have been bigger. It's always shocking to me how few people actually know the real facts of the case, but still always cite it incorrectly in conversation.

    I've always enjoyed James Brolin, ever since my first crush on him when he played Dr. Kiley on Marcus Welby MD. I am currently reading his wife Barbra Streisand's autobiography, so naturally, I am looking up everything she talks about: the men in her life, her musicals, TV shows and movies. I happened upon this interview. Because Barbra talks a lot about her fashion design talents, it's interesting to hear Jim say that he would've liked being a fashion designer of women's clothing. It's another "ah ha" moment which explains why they've been together so long. Both of them are multi-talented, straight forward, down-to-earth and come across as very humble. By the way, the movie Jim references (that Barbra worked on) is 4K UHD 50th Anniversary Edition of The Way We Were. Barbra was finally successful in getting the two key deleted scenes restored in the extended version of the movie. It was her pet peeve that the studio had cut 5 scenes because of controversial political content, two of which were necessary to the ending of the movie as they explain why the lovebirds in the story split up. Thanks to Bill Maher for this interview. Much happiness to all.

      Anybody with a critical questioning mind has to see Jame's point of view on 9/11. Watching footage live kept going back to Building 7, then the Mayor and Presidents reaction (no surprise), previous Intel and the Cantor Fitzgerald floors among other unanswered mysteries like the Pentagon plane. Always were Saudis pilots from Florida, never Iraq. NYT and Inspectors said no weapons of Mass of Destruction. Guess we'll have to wait another generation or so.⁉️
