Happy Mid-winter Colette and Patsy. What a lovely Bealtaine walk about today. Thank you for sharing your home, thoughts and grace with us. Always an inspiration and yes, change can be so good. I really cherish my time with you, my friend. 2023 has not been a great year for me. As like many, sadly, I have been battling breast cancer. First diagnosed in March, my world as I knew it had changed forever. Your posts Colette whether it be here or on FB brought me calmness in the storm. A place to land, even if only for a few moments, each of those moments I have cherished. I just wanted to share this so that you can better realize what a positive difference you have made in my life and I am sure I am not the only one. I thank you for that. You inspired me also to continue growing my gardens which got me outside into nature and that is ever healing. I am both relieved and humbled to report, that for the moment, I am once again cancer free to our knowledge anyway and I am so grateful to be able to be here to watch your vlog today. 💚

I love the new burgundy red wall colour. It really adds a look of richness, opulence even, to the setting. The added fairy lights in the kitchen is a real "wow!". It looks so cosy, so calming.

You are correct about change. Of course it depends on what it is. As we humans continue to explore, grow and be challenged throughout life, one should be expected to change. I have done many of the things you mentioned and continue to do so. I actually feel sorry for those who do not or refuse to change. They are missing out on a lot. I see no reason to hang onto items if one is not using them.
I haven’t been so moved in spirit as I was just now, listening to you, hearing the truth of it all. My heartstrings over joyed with such connection. I always feel a sense of excitement coming up to the shortest day, i love the seasons especially winter, i get to sleep more and do less its wonderful ❤

I change stuff around all the time like this, week my living room and dining kitchen, gets its, winter look from the lightness of summer colours pinks @creams to the warm tone bringing in red throws, and cushions🌹etc it totally transforms the look without painting,, as I have severe arthritis I do what I can to make my life happy and pottering around my cootage dose that... Perfect day for this video & right on time. I’ve been considering g some changes as I am feeling doldrums creeping in. Not excited or energized about anything. Can’t put my finger on it. Blessings to you and the little Miss Patsy. Sometimes I have to make myself get out of the rut, that is hard when the mind doesn’t want to shift.
Trying not to get in a rut.
Counting your blessings with gratitude is a great daily reminder of all of the many different types of blessings that exist now as you are now.
Nature is always a great pleasure for the best opportunity to experience wonderment and joy.
Learning and making a new perspective on what is really important for the most enjoyable and beneficial way to live in the moment to moment adventure of life unfolding in the mystery.

Thank you for the video, I agree with what you are saying, My Philosophy is If you dont like what you see change the way you look at it. Timeless advice change is as good as a rest another old adage, I recently redecorated my kitchen I enjoy the work involved and the final touches bring it all together styling is the key , little touches here and there refreshes both heart and home. also the pleasure in seeing visitors faces, changing up furnishings is another low cost way of changing how a room looks . Mind over matter another old adage, Routines can become stale in day to day living.
For some it's essential.
I follow the Celtic calendar

Such true words. Changing a routine, a way of doing things, adding something new, invites new energy and flow of energy into one's life.
One small change is like a small , smooth pebble dropped onto the surface of a still, quiet puddle. The ripples move outward and affect all of life and creation in subtle ways.
Simply changing the way one looks at everyday surroundings and appreciating the miraculous beauty and energy in even the tiniest of things brings us into the present moment and we can remember that everything is okay.
Beauty and opportunity abound in the inevitability of change which we can perceive as good or bad, though our soul knows differently.

I just wanted to let you know that every time I look at my yard and am in my yard and get a magical feeling it is in part because Beltaine cottage and you have inspired me. My life is a timetable between my work and my LAND.
I'm literally sick and tired of it. Of course I'm on a rant now but it's ok.
A crossroad is where I'm at
I can't seem to break the routine.
I do get time on the land but not nearly enough. I want to enjoy it more
My job is intense as a medic but I need to be more free.
Now you have me all royaled up for the evening 😂😂😂

See your job as a stepping stone to work on your land full time. Every penny you earn put it back in your land to be more self sufficient and able to support yourself in the future. As well as prepare to be able to make money independently. For each person that can mean different things, depending on their individual talents, wood workers may wanna start getting a sawmill and woodworking tools. A stained glass maker, may want to set up a clean shop and accumulate a vast and various amount of stained glass as well as copper paper etc. . So your talents will lead you in the right direction. Thank you for this message Colette! I have taken a hiatus from RUclips for a few months…so I know this is 6 mos ago, I have been so stagnant and repetitive in my life and it’s time for small changes to happen 💜
100% agree! I love to change things up a bit. As you may remember my sweet little dog passed away a couple weeks ago. We’ve had some sunny days last week & this week so during this time I decided to thoroughly clean my floors, removing all rugs, hanging them outside in the fresh air as well as replacing the living room rug with a fresh new one & getting rid of the one in the hallway. I just had too many rugs & things looked cluttered. The house smells so fresh now. I also declutterred the dining room by removing a few items & plants & organized a closet.
Outdoors, I enlarged the flower bed that sits in front of my two little dog’s graves & made a sign with their names.
All of this action this time of year but it sure did feel good & helped with the sadness I was feeling.
But in all honesty I’ve never been one not to like changing things up, little or small, it’s good to not let life go stagnant.

I love change. I’m ever evolving. I never stay the same and I’m always shifting around things in my cottage to shift the Sha energy. I love bringing in the Chi energy into my home. I’ve been fasting for nearly 6mths now. It’s been so beneficial to my health, weight and wellbeing.

Your enthusiasm for change is infectious! I am planning a big change for next year, which is to retire from the 9-5 world of work I’ve been in for the last 30+ years. I’m struggling to take the first step, already backed out once, which is to start a part-time schedule. The 9-5 has framed my life for so many years, I’m just scared of the unregulated time, even though I have interests with which to fill it. Wow!! I never believed in concidences in life. I believe everything comes in its own time, at the exact time it needs to happen. The past few days have been terrible for me. I feel stuck in a same ol, same ol, rut.everything so nauseatingly predictable. Then you come and talk about change!!! It was as if you were speaking thoes words to me personally snd I so needed to hear your words today. I am an empath and this time of year gets to me. Too much commercialism, people stressed out to the max because they feel obligated to buy "that special" present that puts you into debt. I learned recently that as an empath, I need to learn how to observe instead of absorb people's emotions around me. I have always found inspiration from listening to you and today was a special nugget of knowledge. thanks for sharing, I have to go and prepare for some changes for the better🙂🙃❤️

Blessings to you Colette, the living room walls look fantastic, I have dark purple walls myself, I just love color, and this year I decorated outside the house with colored string lights and it makes me just feel so happy, it is certainly a perfect time for change, I have been doing exactly the same, love that more videos are coming, they light up my day and it fells like having a kindred spirit walking the earth.

I am always up at around 5 in the morning and it's my time to get things done before the rest of the world wakes up.
This time of year its jobs in the house but come the lighter mornings I am outside enjoying all the sounds of nature.
Change is good but it's a pity we can't change what's going on in the world.
