God I missed Shovelware Showcase so much, it was one of my favorite segment from the olden years. I'll always miss Android Shitshow too, but the mobile commercials are filling that niche for me now
Well I guess now we have android commercials on the commercial segment so it's never truly gone
Plus a lot of the games got too similar and then there was the Tron bonne incident

I can't believe Vinny played the entire Mayonetta Trilogy
I'll never understand how Vinny is able to play these games for as long as he does.
It's like watching a Trainwreck, only you get to be the pilot
And then there's Joel who could play nearly any one of these for 30-40 minutes each and still be giggling at it.
I'll never understand how he'll play for 20 minutes and just quit without first checking out the game over screen
I bought My Name is Mayo at the height of my trophy obtaining addiction. That's when I realized I had a problem and went cold turkey on going for them.
Now I still go for achievements but only in games I really enjoy and want to get the most out of. If they're too hard/are multiplayer I just enjoy the single player and move on.
Now I can’t wait for the Switch edition. It’ll be like 500 games
oh that's easily a 4+ hour stream entirely devoting to it.
Gotta love how the switch has so much shovelware garbage, and no actual good games from the company that made the damn thing.

@@Pinkooru Now i'm not the biggest fan of Mario or Smash Bros, but Zelda BOTW was a great game. One thing i will say about Nintendo Switch games is that they're overpriced, i bought Skyrim for 70$, which i got on PC for 14$.
Those Mayo games are bizarrely high quality.

It probably goes no deeper than some social media intern at sony getting lazy one day but the fact it stayed up so long is something else. Is it actually still up on the playstation channel?
@@amentco8445 Yup, still there. Could be like you said, or maybe the dev knows someone who manages the channel. It could also be that they wanted to support indies and picked the most indie-looking trailer they could find :p
It must be one of the sony higherups kids/friend that developed it or something. I floated the idea around that there was some kind of bribe involved but that makes even less sense. Its a true anomaly. I guess its also possible the guy in charge of the sony featured games for that month was high/tired and added it accidentally or did it as a joke.

People thought the Xbox Live Indie Games content was dead and gone, but it just decided to become part of every consoles digital storefront. I can't even see what good games are on sale, half the time on playstation and switch, because these things clutter the catalog so much
again very ironic that the xbox doesn't have this despite being easier to poop shovelware onto than both
So many of them are just crappy mobile games dumped onto consoles then increased in price. The switch store is a complete crapshoot especially for genres that they don't have much of. Racing is especially awful.

If the powers of good fail Vinny and he does another of these, Samael Legacy of Ophiuchus is another "worst game on the PS4", as well as the other incomprehensible titles from the same dev.
That said, as much as I love watching Vin consume trash, I don't want to see anyone pay money for those games.

"Does Sony not play these games anymore?" No, Vinny they have stopped after the PS3 days, they have all stopped to check for quality or asset-flipping or even if a game runs at all. Did the console release of Cyberpunk teach you nothing?
It's only since around 2016 shovelware started showing up on the PS store, game devs used to have to wait for permission from Sony to release games and updates. On the upside most of the games aren't 6 months to a year behind on updates anymore.

Aye but that one got removed from the store due to backlash, it's still not there to this day. There was a reason people were talking about Black Tiger, because at the time stuff like that was unacceptable, and Black Tiger was the exception. I never saw anyone talking about Lady In A Leotard when that spawned from the gates of Oblivion, because shovelware had already been flooding in for a while now.
They stopped checking for quality or asset-flipping because of content creators. Streamer games are a thing, and viewers often end up buying the games regardless of if they're good or not.
