In the USAF, a "7 Level" is a technician who has mastered their field by putting in time, and testing up to become an expert in their AFSC (Career Field). A "7 Level" Airman is required to inspect and buy off the work performed by a lower level technician. In the civilian sector they are referred to as QA (Quality Assurance) inspectors, but in the civilian sector unfortunately they are not always experts in the field, or have ever even performed the work being performed. Sarah is beyond a 7 level at this point. I work at NASA and I only wish I could get someone with her knowledge and drive.
Absolutely top notch & achieved this feat single handedly makes it all the more motivating for aspiring technicians. Credit also goes to her instructors at USAF. Very well done indeed
so true, any organization would love to have Sarah's level of abilities and drive. Not easy to find.
thank you for the explanation
Thank you for taking the time to explain this.
3 level is gained at tech school graduation (E1-E3), 5 level through on the job training and CDCs (career development course) (E3-E5), 7 level through OJT and CDCs (E5-E6). Easiest way to think about it: 3 level = apprentice, 5 level = journeyman, 7 level = craftsman. There is a 9 level, but it's essentially admin stuff. All the aforementioned are generalities and don't apply to all career fields for enlisted. The officer side is much more confusing.
I just realized that Ive been waiting to hear an open header, V8 Celica all my life. Didnt know.
Absolutely. New achievement to strive for.
Same here!
When I had mine I dreamed of stuffing a six cylinder engine it.
Kinda hope Sarah puts in a throttle position controlled bypass valve, so it can be super quiet 99% of the time, then snap open to straight pipes at full noise.
Sounds like a nitro dragster!
The start up look on your face was pure gold.
My thoughts too. Ear to Ear happiness 😀
Job well done - keep at it, the end is on the horizon
Congratulations on the First Start! How rewarding!!
You're defiantly a MASTER car builder.
Far too many "experts" would not have done the inspection, much less get the primer to ensure sufficient oiling.
I want you to keep this car. Seriously, you deserve to enjoy it.
I second this. Think about it, it has the engine from your dads tundra and the fact that you put in so much hard work and effort into this build? It would be heart breaking to let someone else enjoy this masterpiece of your work.
This isn’t a giveaway car lol… things gonna be worth a kings ransom. It’s hers…
This is a labor of love. It would be tragic if these two separate.
“Fruit snacks for baby robot” 🤣😂 love your expertise and attention to detail but your sense of humor is the best. Can’t wait to see it drive!
Congrats! Sounds great
My dad was 21 years in the USAF, vet of Korean and Vietnam wars, and was in SAC in aircraft maintenance on the kc 97. Later became a flight engineer on the C124 and the C141. I have a lot respect for your service, thank you.
He served with my grandfather then, he was an engines troop in both wars. Retired in ‘81 I believe and passed away unfortunately not long after.
The first new car I ever bought was a 72 Celica ST. I was 21 years old at the time, and loved that car. Before that I was driving cheap used junkers. This car was so awesome, and I have so many fond memories of that car. I am totally loving watching what you are building. It was the same body style as my car, but two years newer. You are a genius. Keep up the great work and be happy.
I love that you never take short cuts on your builds, no matter how tempting. It's so rare to see this kind of attention to detail. The little beast sounded amazing on that start-up.
Being a boomer who grew up on V-8s, that sounded like sweet music to my ears! Having Charlie on hand and Jimmy on the phone for the big event was perfect. 👏 As for your next video, pick whichever vehicle you’ve been itching to work on… they are all stars. Thank you, Sarah. 👍👍👍
Rodger that!! We use to stick 289 V8's into brit sports cars ah la Cobra...
Lots of fun!!
@@hctim96 And 327s in VW Bugs.
As a Gen-Xer with four cylinder bias, I appreciate all of Sarah's detailed attention to this classic little car from my childhood. 👍😊
The Smile on Sarah's face when it turned over, makes everything worth it.
Had to watch twice, too busy yelling wa-who! Such a big milestone for her. Yeah, lots left to do, but run up and short drive after paint and wiring up for final along with and lot of other stuff. Great job Sarah!
It’s ALIVE! 👍👍🇨🇦🎉🎂
Love how easy you make it look! Hope you inspire more ladies to be doing what you do !
Oh my! That thing sounds mean. Can't wait to see this thing finally hit the road.
I, for one, appreciate your sheer discipline to do it right. Watching one do it correctly and patiently is inspiring.
Hearing that engine fire up brought some joy to my week. This is my all-time favorite build, mainly because of your work, craftsmanship, and humor.
Thanks!
You're welcome. I love the variety of projects you do and your attention to detail!
I literally spit my water out when you said “7-leveled” it. Haven’t said or heard that in some time! Celica is coming along amazingly!!!!
@Sarah N Tuned “7 leveled it” indeed.
All your fans jumped for joy as soon as that V8 fired up and you flashed that awesome smile. Having Charlie there was special too.
This is my favorite YT build bar none!
Now; “that’s what up!”
The smile on both yours and Charlie's faces when it first started made the entire series. You can't buy that feeling.
hearing your dads V8 brought back to life and in such an awesome way 😩
Yeah, he was excited to hear it back to life again.. albeit slightly different sounding than it was in that Tundra now lol.
@@SarahnTuned and no moose were seen anywhere close by
The expression on your face was worth the wait!! The knowledge this women has about cars is staggering and pleasure to watch!
Congratulations Sarah! Motivate!
Prayers 🙏
7-leveled the car. Spoken like a true USAF vet. 😉👍🏻
I'm still procrastinating on 3-leveling my road bike
I heard her say it and immediately skipped 10 sec back to make sure. Love her USAF Easter eggs.
@@christopherestewart and "C/W"
Copy That 😉
The BEAST has awoken!!! Love the fact that this car has pieces from so many iconic Toyota cars of all ages!
Also I suggest seperate video for each car. Give these guys some love!
I don't know why but the third startup it sounded like a radial engine from a Corsair. Sooo satisfying. Great job
Tweaking ECU parameters each time.
I loved my 74 Celica,, it was a fantastic car, until my college roomate stole it while I went home for Christmas and bent a couple con rods. Thanks Mark Maxwell, I miss you so much!!
Now Sarah, if I could only have had you do this to it!!
What a cool build!!
I don't think I have seen Sarah Smile quite like that before. That was the look of pride and happiness. All that work finally coming together has to be satisfying. Can't wait for the next chapter.
Sarah, YOU need to watch this video and look at your face when your Celica first cranks. Pure, unadulterated JOY. You smile a lot for us, but THAT smile was priceless. Congrats Sarah, you are testament and witness to the value of knowledge and hard work.
Stoked for you. You should be bloody proud of not only the work you've done, but the way you've gone about it.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE to all of the veterans here! As a daughter of an Air Force Major and sister to two Air Force, one Army, and one Marine, I appreciate you all. ❤🤍💙
That is going to be a beautiful car! Love the classic styling of the older Celicas.
Congratulations on the first start.
Congratulations Sarah!!! Former 2R151 here and I appreciate all the AF lingo. 😊
Already sounds great......so much potential, that's what's up. Thanks for sharing with us 👍
You are friggen amazing. Great work!
The car looks and runs great... and you're really beautiful Sarah..
Congratulations on getting the engine to fire up! It sounded so cool - can't wait to see how it does on the road.
You know what's great about this build is that Sarah has now created not just a benchmark, but a template with every single possible step included and recorded every part of it on video. Anybody could literally start with a shell from scratch and learn how to resurrect any old car WITH THE RIGHT ORDER OF WORK. That's crucial.
There is a gold 74 Celica sitting outside a automotive shop on my way home from work every day, just sitting there doing nothing… Sarah! Let’s make it a twin!
MANY will think about it, few if ANY will ever do it.
The Smile on your face, when it started, was "Priceless"! Congrats.
Sarah's smile at start up... Priceless
I thought a reference to Frankenstein “it’s alive!!!” Was in order. 😊That front side view of rear quarter…..fire!!!!!!❤ lobed out cam….again…..fire!!!!!!❤
Excellent 👍 Congratulations on the first engine start!
Hooray, 😹 that hybrid engine, 1UZ, 2UZ, 3UZ has finally started. It's almost a miracle considering all the setbacks and complications, as miracles do exist, this it is above all due to your talent and perseverance. You continue to deserve the admiration and support of your subscribers and Patreon supporters. 👍 You really are the best YT channel of mechanics girls, and of all car channels in general.
Sarah's smile at 12:22...first fire......PRICELESS!!!
The first start is always the best and scariest. Great job Sarah.
Congratulations Sarah!
Wow it sounds bad ass! Much respect Sarah. Congratulations
Awesome moment. I hope when its altogether that the mufflers will still allow that real V8 rumble to come through. Soooo hot.
It’ll sound a little different, doing a single exhaust due to lack of room.
This young Lady is a joy to behold great sense of humour outstanding skills and very easy on the eye's Kind Regards from England
It's just great to see someone doing it properly.
Wow it sounds great.....can't wait to see the final product
Loved hearing this thing rumble can’t wait to see it on the road !!
Your smile when that thing fires up and runs = magic, it's genuine joy. Can't wait for the test drive even though it's a long way off.
Congratulations on the first start! I can imagine it's being an enormous relief after all the work you've put into this car. Awesome !!
So good to hear it run. Going to be worth the effort. Blue flames from the headers were a good sign. Lets see what the drive shaft ends up being.
I remember when Tim at H&H auto parts let me go into the shelves in the back to locate a U-joint that would work on a Firebird that I had swapped a 400 cid 400 transmission for the 350 350 that it came with. I believe it turned out to be a Ford Escort part. Mismatched cups. That was probably 1986. I remember using a 2 bbl not needing or wanting over 300 hp.
It’s been so great watching you and your channel evolve! Great project!
Hi Sarah, I am an 80 year old mechanic in Australia following your videos with great interest in your abilities and such care and devotion to the automotive craft....It is with pleasure that I watch in awe of the meticulous detail and research you go to on this project.....full marks to you.....I was always rushed by the employers to just throw the service and repair tasks together, just take the money and run style dealership workshops......Later as an automotive trade teacher many of the students looked towards an interesting career but coming back from on the job training became bitterly disappointed seeing the true everyday routine....most leaving for something more fulfilling......Being able to take the time and do the work properly is most gratifying being what I enjoy now on my own projects, even if they take months and years.....watching you through your videos is such a delight to see others enjoy the engineering and thrill of working it all out.......congrats and thank you.....Stefan.
Yep, she's a bit special.
You are so fortunate to have a friend like Charlie.
I was smiling right along with you when the beast came alive!!!
Thanks Sarah, for bringing us along with your conquest of the Sleeper Selica! This was so worth the wait and and to see n hear your joy made my day before running off to volunteer.
Its alive allright
This chick is the needle in the hay stack
Amazing
I can't wait until you get the car finished 👍👍
Congratulations on the first start up Sarah.✊🏾
It runs 😊. Not that i ever doubted it would. Sarah magic. That smile when it started was worth millions. Well done
CONGRATULATIONS Sarah! It seems like forever to this point! Great!
Being that you sweat the details as you do, makes this first start so sweet. I was literally jumping for joy at it. It is so satisfying. Glad Charlie was around for first start up. Sorry Angel wasn’t there. We can’t always get what we want, a little Rolling Stones reference. Your videos rock because you put your whole being into your work. Brava Sarah! Press on Sarah! Yeah buddy!
The grin on your face once it ran, priceless!!
This celica is awesome,,, nice job Sarah,,, Wow
Why do I feel so proud of you, all the hard work and determination of someone I don’t really know 😊😊 the face of pure happiness when it ran for the first time is priceless
Congratulations Sarah. You earned it. Pity the whole shop wasn't full of people to witness it.
Congratulations on the start up, I could feel your relief and joy through the internet.
Congrats on First start.
everyone smiled together at the 1st start
The feeling you get on first start up can not be expained. It makes all the work worth it. Now you need the short break from it. Back in the day ( about 50 years ago ) I built a 440 six pack for my Charger. The night of first start up was pure joy. Now you are about 3/4 of the way done. I'm proud of you and what you have done here. That is why I follow you. Pick your favorite for the next vid. Thanks for sharing the joy with us.
I love this build. I’ve done a few LS swaps and they are much easier than your Toyota swap. Well done.
Yeah, I always said if I did an engine swap I wanted it to be rare. I think there's only 1 other 2UZ 1st gen Celica swap in the world that I could find, and a handful of 1UZ swaps.
I’ve been waiting for this! What a testament to Sarah’s hard work, determination and skills! Just the greatest 🙂♥️
Yay!! The smile on your face says it all. And...Your nails look amazing btw.
Such a sweet sound especially after all that work. Great job
Just as a viewer, seeing all the labor, patience and attention to detail pay off in a successful first start on this little monster was just awesome. Great job on getting to this point! 🤘
Sounds a bit up in horsies in that corral. Moms truck and dads engine live on, love your heart.
Nothing quite like hearing the project you've put so much blood, sweat and time into turn over for the very first time.
So stoked for you Sarah. You've been working towards this moment for such a long time now. Can't wait to see more.
Congratulations! So awesome! A very proud moment!!!
When I was young this was one of my dreamcars. So beautiful.
What a moment, congratulations SnT. 🌸
On vacation ... aw jeez, now I feel bad -- just today I was like, are the penguins on their way? (They are! Thanks Karen!)
You won’t regret having the pressure pot, I use it for many tasks. Congratulations on the first start!
Wow, this is an exciting episode! Seriously, this build has been incredible to watch. I thought the '80s build was cool, but this one is even more in-depth. Great job, Sarah!!! 🎉🎉
Can't believe how invested I was in this. I grinned from ear to ear when it started! Also, I have to say Sarah, one of the things I like most about you is that even while you're working on cars, you still manage to maintain your perfect nails. You retain your femininity, even working in oil, doit and grease. Well done. 😁
wow a pre-luber !!! Congrats !!! woot woot V8 YESSSSSSSSSS
I can't find the word for the emotion I felt when that thing fired up. Giddy maybe? Amazing work Sarah!
I legit have been waiting for this all week!
I thought the Mister Two was going to a new home. I LOVE that car!
Absolutely not
Huge congrats on the start-up - that was a long time comin’!!
It’s ALIVE !!!
7 level is the kick butt level/ craftsmen where we mastered our AFSC, PLUS Leadership.
SARAH ROCKS!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Thundah aaah aaah thundah aa aaahh ..sorry bad ACDC dad joke
Positive self talk makes all the difference 😊
The engine sounds fantastic! I bet that thing will RIP!
That thing sounds freakin awesome without exhaust on it. 😍
