Took me a little while to figure out, but for anyone who needs it, to trim the beginning of the clip, move the red line to where you want it trimmed to, and then split it into parts (Editor tab-under cutting and splitting) then you can delete/cut the first part separately. hope this helps! kinda wish to drag the left side didn't cut the end
It's a different way to do it, but I prefer to trim videos to the right length in Windows video editor, because it's a lot simpler and gives a lot more control
Thanks to FlashIntegro we have got the chance to review all the features included in the *PRO* version of VSDC!! Check this out!! ruclips.net/video/nALHXt5gKcY/видео.html
This is a feature packed software package that is very easy to use and has a great interface and so far very stable. The video tutorial is also a great overview of what it can do. Thank you.
I've been using this program for all my videos, but my editing ability is primitive, this video has shown how to do some things I've been REALLY wanting to do. Thank you!!!
Video was very helpful! I saw this editor and thought, "hey, there's no cut button, this sucks." After watching this video I really like this editor super easy to use, nice tutorial!
I have learned and quitted 5 video editing apps because of filmora's watermark. Thank you for teaching VSDC so wonderfully, I hope I will not have to quit it.
Honestly, this video makes it very clear for me to understand, I need to make videos and I am new to VSDC video editor so I needed a video for it and I think I already found a perfect video for it, also the voice is very clear and this video is just explaining everything simply, thank you for the tutorial and have a great and a very safe day/night! :)
Great, unless you can tell me how to open the exported video without it opening straight back into the VSDC editing program, it's of no use to me. After I saved my edited video and exported it, then go to my videos, I can't open a normal video. Tried it number of times and yes, I have read and watched how to do it quite a few times but it just won't work for me. Can't share my video, so wasted a lot of my time.
It output the video file separately from the project file correct? I would try making sure I had a video player on my pc/laptop and then (if on Windows) right click and manually choose to open the video with a video player (VLC Media player is a great free one).
hey man great video! (i saw a bunch of great comments) but i was wondering if its really free or if you have to buy after a certain number of exports (ill come back to this if i have any questions)!
Thank you for your tutorial. I've a few problems with VSDC, can you help me, please? When I import video or pictures, they showed up with 2x2 pixels only. My project size is 1920x1080. I didn't even show on the timeline. I had a hard time finding where the pictures I imported in were. Where can I set a default size of import videos and pictures? Also how can I specify which layer the new imported clip should be? it's so random. Can I manage layers e.g. the number of the new layer is assigned automatically by the program, I don't want to manually change the number one by one. Thank you so much.
Thank you bai for such informative video. I was very worried about how to get started with this video editing software. Your explanation is very detailed. Keep making such informative videos related to this video editing software.
+1 bai - Thanks! Gonna give VSDC a try after watching this intuitive tutorial. :) I just tried Davinci Resolve 16 (freebie version) and fairly quickly uninstalled it as its interface is really quirky and un-intuitive. The deal breaker was that MPEG h.265/HEVC codec is verboten unless we buy the $299 USD pro version. Thanks again and... Cheers from Thailand!
Thank you so much! This is the best VSDC tutorial I have found to date. Well done! Question: I would love to see some instruction on how to choose the right frame rate and resolution for RUclips videos along with how to manage clips taken in both portrait and landscape in one video.
Thank you! The frame rate is usually the same one of your source files to keep original quality intact. RUclips accepts most of them. Landscape format is preferred, but if you use another you will simply get black bars on the RUclips player.
Very good introduction tutorial - thanks! I've been watching a few different tutorials of programs to find one that will fit my hobby's needs - your video sold me on VSDC program!
Dear sir/ madam, Thank you for sharing. How can I mute the volume of a video when I added two or more videos in the project? looking forward to your reply.
i spent so long editing a video. Some of the edits didn't even make it onto youtube then it ends before the rest of the video can play too? How do I fix this?
Great video the only thing I did not see was where or how we can grab videos on youtube or FB etc and grab it to be able to edit it. I liked how you showed to edit but how do we grab from Internet??
OMG just going through it so fast. Can't anyone do a show how to on just very simple edit a single video? I have never done anything like this before. Just need to get started on a single video, cut out the parts i don't want, maybe replace the sound with a simple music clip. Most of or all the how to videos are not for a total beginner. Can anyone help with simple ediet until i know how?
I have been using VSDC editor for about 5 weeks. For about a year before that I used very simple video editor, which although it took a bit of time to learn, still was very far from almost everything I wanted to do. I bought the VSDC along with the small extra for pro - but I don't know if I have needed any of the pro features so far. I was under a lot of pressure to get a certain "thing" created. I spent a huge amount of time doing that and figuring out, with a lot of effort, the various aspects of VSDC. It helped that one review I read of it said something like it is "a bit of a learning curve." So I didn't feel so bad about how hard I found it. I'm just guessing, but I wouldn't be surprised if video editors that had as much stuff in them maybe cost couple of hundred dollars, and on top of that, if I did dish out all that money, it would probably be just a different steep learning curve. If you want, maybe we could share some of our questions, concerns, and learning. That might work, it might not, though we both should be prepared that it might not. Different people are at different places in learning, and have different issues that they're trying to figure out - and effort shouldn't be all in one direction - but sometimes one should try to get to some communication . If interested, we have to have a way to communicate. ??? one way ??? go to youtube and search "bob elschlager channel". Or leave a comment here.
Hi! Your video was very helpful and I just finished creating my video using VSDC. But when I saved it, there was a black screen at the end for an extra minute and a half. I deleted it and tried to save again and it's not saving. Do you know how I can fix this??
I'm starting a RUclips channel and had downloaded Davinci Resolve. I find it difficult and it doesnt recognise the AVI file format which I have. I spent forever looking for free easy converters and gave up. Now I'm shopping for another editor. I hope this works.
