      @@Feelgoodfoodie great video , personally I don't add black pepper or herbs , I add lemons and olive oil , I prefer lemons over lime , also I add the salt at the very end after its chilled , adding the salt too early makes it sweat so I add salt at the end , for onions I prefer Spanish onions or over red onions .

      @@sinabagherisarvestani8924 Some people (myself included) prefer to add salt and let it sweat, that way the salad gets soaked in its own juices which makes a great dressing.

Chunky chopped - in a chicken, tuna, or salmon salad with greens. Could also make it into a chicken, tuna, or salmon salad for a sandwich. And a good glass of tea.)

    we in shiraz add much more juice to the salad and actually the amount of the juice is more than the other stuff and we make those pieces smaller , that's what makes shiazi salad an unique one, but all in all really good job 👏🏻

    Hi yumna, I came here to watch your chia seed video, but then I saw this one. Apart from the fact that you clearly explain everything on your recipe videos, I enjoyed watching the Shirazi salad video even more specially because you mentioned its origin which is a city in Iran, and you mentioned every single detail about the salad and its dressing just like a real “Shirazi” person would do. ( and you also made me miss Iran even more 😂) Thank you so much for spending time and gathering right enough information about each recipe and finally explaining them clearly.
    I have been following you on instagram for a long time, and I like how productive and energized you are during the day. Being a mom is a full time job itself but you are also a great content creator which means 2 hard jobs at the same time :) I wish you more and more success and I also wish you luck during the moving to the new house process! I had this in Turkey 🇹🇷 over 20 years ago..I've tried making it myself but it was always missing something..cilantro is the missing piece. I love it on tacos. Thank you ill try this in the morning. I'm half tempted to get up and go make it now.. 🤔 but I probably won't considering it's 2am here in Ireland that and I just realised I've no cilantro. It's something I've not used much in my own cooking but I do give it two my parrot in his chop and the kitchen always smells fantastic after..I'm definitely trying this tomorrow. My mouth is watering thinking about it. Yum 😋

    • @Feelgoodfoodie
      @Feelgoodfoodie  3 года назад +1

      I pick and wash fresh mint from my garden or store bought mint. I lay it out on a large baking sheet with kitchen towel under it. I remove the kitchen towel the next day but leave it out at room temperature uncovered on a large baking sheet. After 5 days, it will be cunchy. Then you can place in blender or food processor to grind.

    Great tutorial of Shirazi salad (btw, it's pronounced "sheerazee" not "shrazi" : ), but you must not have grown up in an Iranian household, because we Iranians make the salad with extra juicy tomatoes so that we can fight over who gets to drink the left-over salad-juice at the end of the meal.
