Whenever I watch it, it brings tears to my eyes. I still can't believe so much time has passed. It seems it was only a few years ago.

As a fan since the pilot episode, and now working as a Federal inspector (non-LEO), I have to say the most wildly unrealistic thing depicted on the X Files, hands down, is how they never seem to have problems getting travel and expense vouchers approved. I can imagine how their antics would go over with my boss.....
BOSS: You used a non-contract airline.
ME: But we were in a hurry. No time.
BOSS: Airline wants to charge extra for cleaning up the corpse in the lavatory.
ME: Not my fault he peed on the floor. He took the cyanide to keep me from getting answers about the Smoking Man.
BOSS: And this...WTH??? You rented a full size car, not a compact?
ME: It was all they had....
BOSS: Hertz charged us $8500 to fix the electrical system you burned up!
ME: No, it was the alien spacecraft!!!
BOSS: And here's two $38 motel rooms at.... Frankie's Shingle Shack in Lubbock?
ME: WAYYYY below allowed per diem....
BOSS: Plus $15K in damages!! your room was DESTROYED!!!
ME: The Men in Black did it!! They stole the evidence!

Absolutely! I work government too and travel expenses are a huge pain. Probably more work than the X-Files themselves...😆
I have every episode of this programme I absolutely loved it I loved Mulder enfatigly I never missed an episode I keept all the write ups magazines and could tell you everything about it I do miss it
Secrets of The X-Files, Part 1 (1995) 1136am 21.10.23 i know, i wanted to purchase the box set. then i saw they'd created a few more (final) episodes as seen on the much-maligned CH5 tv station - UK. those episodes weren't too bad. so, all in all, an excellent interlude into more otherworldly matters... niiiice. p.s CH4 is airing all the episodes on it's website.
Like the Twilight Zone this show stands the test of time.
I miss David duchovny. He was the very best choice to portray Fox Mulder in this TV series. And there really is a cigarette man.
It has dawned on me why my sisters wouldn't allow me to watch this in the still of the night,It would air on our local channel Bangladesh Television at 10:00pm after the English news in the 90s,i was told strictly to go to sleep and while my sisters would watch on bed,i would try to watch it so hard and my eldest one turned on her back,surprised that i am still not asleep 😂😂😂😂.

I loved this show as a kid and know I never saw the first episode so thank u for this. Idk what made me see if this was avail online tonight other than wanting to watch something really good but this is better than good. Like my childhood version of Stranger Things.

The music in x files is a separate masterpiece which gives this series such a great atmosphere

If you look closely to at least 2 episodes so far in the first 2 years of the show, the Kennedy name comes up twice! Like the X-Files, the Matrix was a documentary.

I believe it was a tv special over the summer (1995, iirc) to tide fans over and attract new ones while waiting for the next season to begin.
I had this on VHS and yeh it was kind of a little something to tie us over until the new seasons

It has been creepy to watch this series again now in my 40s after watching in my teens... there is so much in it that is real. It's as if the producers and directors told us the whole global plot but tried to do so in a way no one would believe it was more than just a t.v show... until now...
