I learned something today. I never thought about freezing celery. Glad to know about this. Sometime, maybe you should do a 'tour' of your freezer. There might be some things we should know about freezer worthy items we never considered. Lovely to visit with you today!
Once again, I thank you for twenty blissfully relaxing and informative (and mouthwatering) minutes! My favorite part of every week is a new, or often revisited video from Kevin! Your quince is showing appreciation for that sun-warmed wall! Where I am, in a valley at the opposite side of the country, the local blooms are a few containerized winter white and burgundy pansies cheering up the front doorstep. But three weeks ago I began beseeching my Arctic Blue Rose (it isn’t actually blue, more like a pink-leaning mauve) for “once more before winter please.” The experts claim Arctic Blue is deciduous, but here it wants to be evergreen. The other roses already started their long winter naps. This little rose just obliged me with a single bud. I’ll give it one more day before cutting with the knowledge that after bringing it indoors its colors will change at least twice more before fading.
8:38 -- A neighbor has a lilac that has a few clusters of flowers. And there's an apple tree in a local park that always produces a few blossoms in autumn.
Greetings from France. Merci beaucoup pour l'intelligence et la délicatesse de vos vidéos qui sont toujours un grand moment de calme, de sérénité et d'art de vivre.

Greetings from Amsterdam. My husband and I so enjoy your videos; they’re like a warm hug. We light a fire, curl up on the sofa together, and enjoy. Thank you so much for sharing your time with all of us.
Love love love. And that shirt really makes your eyes pop! I keep seeing your bean pot by the fireplace. Please make us some Boston baked beans and brown bread this winter!❤
I love that I found your videos you're the bright spot in my day. I've had a very very bad year and finding your videos on channel has been like medicine for healing I can't thank you enough for the calm and happiness you've brought me
Bonsoir Kevin, j'ai eu la surprise de découvrir un coquelicot dans mon jardin alors que l'automne est arrivé et que les coquelicots poussent ici en Belgique au printemps.
Here comes Pure Joy! I have several huge thick cutting boards! I use them for entertaining for the most part. I would love to find one of those large kitchen butcher blocks!
As you were pulling and harvesting the last garden produce,I could just smell the rich soil that nourished those wonderful vegetables. Such a lovely scent to remember as you tuck your garden in for the winter.
Always on the lookout twice weekly for your videos! I appreciate the care and hard work you put in creating these! Thank you for bringing loveliness into our lives!
Thank you again Kevin. I love to see your sweet babies. I lost my precious Loki on Thursday. He was the love of my life and sixteen years old and my heart is broken. I remember when you lost your cat Tiger and you were grieving much like I am now. It warms my heart to see you surrounded with all the new pets. Much love to you and yours.
My most sincere condolences on the passing of your beautiful boy Loki. Know that he will be waiting for you on the other side. Biggest of hugs to you. Xx
Oh Kevin the strawberry Loaf tea cake scrumptious!! The harvesting! Avery! Your guardian 😂 Where is Binky? And Goldie? 😂😂😂. And the Walrus oil always full of great tips!! Thank you Kevin🎉🎉🎉
Hello Mr Jacobs😊You are the one that I allways watch..I have not missed one single video and I really enjoy what you do..Allways looking forwards to the next video❤❤
So great seeing all the lovely china and crackling fires... I appreciate all the precise, easy to follow recipes that can be made ahead for dinner parties. Such wonderful ideas. Thank you!
What a charming little cake. It is so nice that you enjoy making magic happen in your daily life. You create beauty in all you do. Your are very talented, loving, kind, and have so abundance created by your hard work. It has to be so satisfying to grow your food, and I love the trips where you ferret out beautiful goods at the sweet little store you found! Enjoy your afternoon tea, it’s well deserved! ♥️♥️🍁🍁🙏🕊
Mr. Kevin Lee Jacobs your video was very soothing, therapeutic and nourishing to my soul. I enjoy your tranquil and elegant manner. I just found you minutes ago and you shot up to the top of my favorites list. You are a blessing from heaven and a prayer answered for me. What this video did for my soul in the midst of current events is miraculous and incalculable. Thank you.
Things are different here in Florida. I planted my winter garden at the community garden yesterday. I went with black eyed peas, chives, radishes and collard greens. They're all cold hardy, and our chief gardeners recently redid all our beds, adding a drip irrigation system. Gardening is always an experiment.:)
Love your calm, unharried approach to doing chores and that puts all in order in a timely manner. I also enjoy seeing you enjoy finer touches such as quality tea and food on beautiful china. 🌻
Yes, a white iris was in bloom last week. Our weather is the same as yours so it was a real surprise to see this spring bloomer. Lovely video Kevin, thank you.🙏❤️
Hi Kevin - Thank you for your videos - they offer a sense of calm, but also attention to the many details that make a house a home. You asked about things that are growing or blooming in our gardens right now that surprise us: well, here in Troy, NY we have a white lilac that is blooming for the second time this year. Gorgeous, full fragrance! No leaves! But blossoms all over the (large) shrub, all breaking into bloom; buds everywhere. Then, not too surprising, my rhododendrons are blooming for a second time; again with more large buds looking like they may open this week. My marigolds have died, but petunias are soldiering on, looking pretty darn healthy, too! (usually it’s the other way around with these two plants). Turf lillies are full of blue-black berries, nice to see. I’ve been a gardener for many years now (60+), and I’m seeing things that never happened before. Such an interesting time in the garden - all the “rules” are off! Thanks for all that you do - your videocasts bring peace to my heart! Best, Anne Cassidy
I collect different varieties of iris and maybe your late blooming is a variety called "Immortality", I have one and it blooms in Spring and then again in Fall, sometimes pretty late like November. They are always white in color. Very large and beautiful.
Kevin this was delightful today. I’m home recovering from COVID and feeling rather down but this video cheered me up. The cake looks marvellous and I love seeing Avery in the shots. Thanks Kevin enjoy your week.
What beauties in your garden, Sir😍Those gigantic parsnipes are something. Such delicious and healthy goodies. Thank you for sharing life there. Will defintely try this recipe♥️Happy Sunday and lovely week

Since your cake is loaf pan size it's perfect when combined with an 8x8 pan of brownies. Thank you Kevin! I have a cute story. My 5 year old grandson, had a painting of his on display at the local library. When we went to see his painting, he insisted on wearing a tie. He is quite the little gentleman. I am so proud.

Thank you for the strawberry cake recipe! I know I will love this! Like you, I also freeze a lot of things from my garden. I've also gotten into the habit of dehydrating some, too, just in case something happens to the freezer. Post hurricane power outages can be devastating! I have a gas stove, so I can the majority of things as they thaw, but it's always nice to have dehydrated vegetables on hand, especially onions, garlic, celery, green peppers. They will keep for years in vacu-sealed mason jars.
