Yay great to see you back! A friend of mine just used Pingles too and recommended them to me, I thought the materials came out great. This is so useful for people to be able to see!

Aw thank you! Are you considering TGATB?

@@YesYouCanHomeEducate have thought about it. We’ve done a couple of print outs which made me see the completely different learning style between my twins 😄 and probably how they would respond differently to using a curriculum. I thought possibly it might end up being more of a support to me like a reminder what they need to learn and a stepping stone to learning about those things in other ways too. I thought the Pingles price was definitely worth it. Are all your younger ones happy to sit down and do it every day?

    • @YesYouCanHomeEducate

@nurturingdiscontent Yes, it’s my 3 younger ones who are using TGATB, and they are fine with sitting down to do it. The 12 and 9 year old spent their first few years in school (my daughter did up to year 4 and my son up to year 2), so sitting down to do written work was not difficult. I only regret not using it the first year as I think it would have made the transition easier. My youngest (5) being the only one never to attend school, is just thrilled to have her own books now, just like her older siblings- but she doesn’t spend much more than an hour a day doing sit down work.

Have been thoroughly enjoying, learning and inspired by your videos. New to HS my 4 different key stage kids, it’s all so overwhelming esp when it comes to curriculums.
Have you ever come across language arts by a UK author? All
LA seem to be US based. I’m interested in LA for KS1,2 and 3.
    Thanks so much

Ive just received my second order from Pringles and I’ve been really impressed with the quality and communication from Tony.
My only criticism is the turnaround time but it just means I have to be organised and plan ahead.

    Hey,
Could you please recommend curricula (Maths, LA, Science etc...) on a tight budget for Year 9 students?
Thanks for sharing this amazing video.

Hi! It depends on what your aims are. For example if you are thinking about GCSE’s and you think your child is ready, some like to spread them out over several years, which spreads the cost. Year 9 is when we start to pick up a few of subjects and take 2 academic years to do them- some people do it in one year, some take longer than 2. If you’re not ready for GCSE’s yet, then that changes what you might like to try.
In terms of budget resources National Oak Academy is completely free and offers all manner of subjects up to and including Key Stage 4 (year 11), year 9 is 3rd year of Key Stage 3. classroom.thenational.academy/subjects-by-key-stage
The £2 tuition hub is also excellent value and offer courses for secondary grades up to and including GCCEs. Many of the recommendations I make on my video ruclips.net/video/kUxFZ3sc0NQ/видео.htmlsi=8iVlTc47eOICFu7v will offer courses for year 9. They are all very affordable. Hope that helps. ☺️

Hey, I would like to get LA Level 7 for my Year 9 twins as I heard that this curriculum is quite vigorous. Do you think it will be suitable?
    Thanks for sharing.

Hi, Level 7 US is equivalent to Year 8 UK. It’s the one we are planning to use from next September. I have had a good look at it and I feel it’s good preparation as a pre GCSE course. It all depends on your goals. Are you and your twins planning to do an English GCSE course in year 10?
This is how we will be using it. To be honest, even if we weren’t going to study a GCSE course later on, I still think it is a good course.
If you go to the Good and the Beautiful website, you will be able to access the all the free PDFs for this course including the course book, course companion and reader. You can download them and have a good look at them to decide whether you think they will suit your children. I definitely recommend you do this. Hope that helps!

Hi thanks for this video, I’ve just heard of pingles and it sounded amazing but I didn’t see anything that showed the quality.
I agree that the binding on the original stuff isn’t the best.
So excited to get my order now.
My only question is when you go to order on pingles to you need to buy the downloads and send it or do they have the downloads already?
Do you mind showing the manipulatives you bought for maths. Also her name, never came across it on the group.
    Thank you in advance.

Hi! If you go into the Pingles website, click shop and then choose “The Good & the Beautiful”, it then takes you to the page with all the different courses. You do not have to download any of the the free language arts or maths courses. You just click the ones you want and pay for the printing service and shipping. For The Good & the Beautiful courses like Handwriting where they are not free to download on TGATB website, it will specify that you must pay for the download from the TGATB website.
Keep an eye out on my community posts and I’ll try get a photo of the maths manipulatives on there for you. I’m glad you found the video helpful ☺️

When we order from Pringles - does it come with answer key?

    • @YesYouCanHomeEducate
      @YesYouCanHomeEducate  Месяц назад

I have a feeling you would have to order the pdf of the answer keys separately. Otherwise you can just download the answer keys free from The Good and the Beautiful website.
