  • Here is a little tip in case that you don't want to go for the pirate.
Many times, if you wait a few seconds in the nav beacon, they will spawn, because they are seeking you as well.
Deadly and Elite corvettes often leave high grade mata when they are destroyed. Some collector limpets can be useful.

It is fun forming a battle line and it did allow us to complete a threat level 6 with just me and him we were outnumbered in the threat targets had engineering cuz we're getting it with corrosive damage.
But we were able to win because we formed a battle line or point defenses overlapped their missiles couldn't get through and we were able to hide behind each other when our Shields got weak to give us time to recover.
Focused on his adds two vultures that were doing the corrosive damage then we were able to focus down the FDL
And we've had some fun with two other members of our squadron making a wing of four all set up the same and forming a battle line at high res.
It's weakness comes in the playing solo .
Either your target out dps u or it outruns you and jumps away before you can score the kill and the fights take ridiculously long.
    The build for the anaconda.
    Hardpoints
    level 4 plasma accelerator
    Two large multi cannons
    One large burst laser
    Two medium seeker missile launchers
    Two small burst lasers
    Utilities
4 point defense the rest are OA Shield boosters
Core internal everything is A grade except for life support.
    Optional internals
    7 bi weave
Class 6 ship launch fighter hanger
Class 5 guardian fdl drive booster
The rest are guardian Shield boosters 5 all the way down to two with a auto dock.
Slf are Condor with plasma and point defense .
He has done some engineering to his build. He's tried long range and the one that cuts your range but increases your damage like short barrel something.
The only difference between his and my build is I have two large burst lasers instead of the multicannons and I have the guardian slf trident with the Condor, plus I have the guardian reactor and power distributor and not engineered anything.

Yes, in a wing, you can make lots of specialized builds. I made a video of an all rails, and all imperial hammers conda, and I see it very useful as a long range sniper ship in a wing. Not very useful for on on one combat, but definitely a fearsome sniper if you aim is good (also, subtarget always helps with the aim, because there is this micro-gimball effect").
also, I don't know if you knew it, but the corrosive effect is not stackable. I mean, you only need one corrosive shell, because the damage is the same with several. But I don't know if with other ships it's different. I never thought about it...
You should try to unlock the hounds. They are fun and the point defenses can't hit them because they move really crazy.

Making another comment cuz I remember you saying that it doesn't tag you if it's a follow on.
The reason I asked about the turrets is cuz my buddy has an anaconda he runs nothing but turrets on it cuz he doesn't Chase he likes to sit still and create a battle line. And I made an anaconda to match him so we can actually form a battle line and my main issue with it is again the DPS and the range, he's just starting engineering, he's trying to increase the range to about 2 to 3 km and give them more damage he likes playing the game while he's at work doing it stuff so he'll like sit in high res and just kill things, also it allows him to focus solely on hitting targets with his level 4 plasma launcher.
Personally I like gimbled, and that's generally what I run but I was hoping there might be some way to make turrets more viable cuz it seems like the community at large just hasn't even attempted.

Yeah well, it depends on the gameplay you want. I mean, many times, adding difficulty, therefore challenge, means adding fun. That's the reason why I often try meme builds. Most of them are highly inefficient, but you have to adapt the combat style and that is fun.
For PvP duels, something that is very common, people usually use rules as: we both the same ship and the same weapons, no shield, or both shielded, etc. So that makes sense, like, for instance, an all turrets build. That can be fun. But for more serious PvE combat, like a pirate signal 7, it's suicidal lol. But again, maybe I am wrong and it's a challenge that other pilots can achieve and to get lots of fun in the process.
The best part of the ED combat, is that there are no META builds, especially for PvP. There are commanders out there who destroy supposedly OP vettes, with a sidewinder and only flechettes. For every build there is always a counterbuild.
There is a famous video of a russian guy who destroyed a cutter (PvP, not NPC) with a huge shield, in a type 7 and only mines.
A combat type 7 is a meme in itself, let alone only mines, which are devastating if you know how to use them and they are engineered, but usually people use them with other weapons installed. So that build was crazy AF, but a good pilot can beat your A with the most silly build.
To be honest, I don't see the point in engineering them to long range, because unless it's a big slow ship, it's going to be a real waste of ammo if it's bullets, which have a specific speed, despite the engineering makes them go faster. Shotguns, no point on making them long range in my opinion. And for the lasers, well, I see a potential benefit: engineer them with the thermal vent experimental effect. Because when all of them impact the target, your ship will cool down below 20, and that makes you "invisible" with no effort. But long range, there is always the jitter, and when the thermal vent beams don't impact, the temperature increases, and the target, being so far away... Buy I tried that in the past, and it's not a bad idea at first. In fact I think that some commanders use a thermal vent beam as a turret for AX combat.
So I don't know, try them. Maybe you can find the efficient build with turrets that others couldn't. And even though it is not efficient, at the end of the day the question is if you had fun with it or you hated it. I guess...

Another great video, I'm really impressed that you're ship didn't overheat shooting so many of the plasma launchers.
What kind of engineering have you done to it?
I just started getting into engineering since our last conversation.
Have you ever done anything with turrets and engineering?

I don't remember this build. My big mistake when I started to upload these videos was to not save the builds in Coriolis for posting them here, in the descriptions. But probably, if the ship doesn't overheat, is because they were engineered to efficient, which decreases the thermal load a max. of 60% (60% less heat, my english is not good, sorry).
but not all, I am pretty sure that I engineered to efficient a couple of them, and the others to focused. Also, I don't know if I engineered the power plant to low emissions, which is what I do when I make an all super hot weapons build. Low emissions reduces the heat a lot, but also provides much much less energy, so those builds usually have to be shieldless, so all hull. That's why you see so many shieldless builds in my videos.
Shieldless ships have got their benefits in PvE: You don't need energy for the shields (only a small amount for chaffs and heat sinks) because you have no shield, and the pips management is much easier, obviously. For medium ships, it's great because they admit tons of hull reinforcements and they are not big enough to be bullet sponges, like an anaconda, while small ships haven't got much room for reinforcements and they are an easy target for turrets.
Regarding turrets, I have tried them but they suck. I don't recommend them. with ammo, it's a waste of ammo, and with energy weapons, it's an energy draw. And the damage is a joke. they are the weakest class of weapons, and also, not very accurate. The only real advantage is that they have got a lot of angular range, so many people use them in the type 10, for instance. Well, also all NPC type 9s and 10s have turrets.
I don't know, try them, but you'll see that they really suck. Engineer them is a waste of time, effort, and materials, in my opinion (again, unless you like the Type 9 or 10).

Do your English is good better than most people I know in my hometown.
I made a type 752 hauling capacity figure and I could knock out a factions power play item in one run.
I want to all 10 of the systems that it said would accept them and none of them were allow me to deposit them all of them were vastly over the requested amount.
It cost me 7,500,000 to fill the type 9.
In the end I got blown up a lot cost me like 60 ml at the end of the day and I didn't get a single power play merit.
I'll definitely have to look for an anarchy system and give it a go.
Allied with Zachary Hudson at the moment.

To me, most of the ships in this game are atrociously ugly 😂. But this is not one of them.

The idea was to eventually upgrade them to the hounds, but I haven't really figured out a method to power play.
I tried to do that thing where you pick up the Intel and transport it to another system, but every system I want to it wouldn't let me deposit it and it seemed like they were all vastly over the requirement needed for planet like it said it needed 50 and there were as high as 2000 already deposited it was weird.
I watched the video saying that you can kill people of an opposing super faction and get combat merits that way but I haven't actually gone out to try it.

The best system was San Tu but it's no longer an anarchy system. The best way is to seek an anarchy system in the Alliance bubble and to hunt the bureaucrats (along with the other power play ships like the Thorval shields and the others).
But for the other method, the moethod that most people do and it's really really expensive, don't worry about the state of the system. Just carry those things from one system to another one that requires them, and you'll get merits. But as I said, it's very expensive. I did it once with a cutter and 500+ tons of cargo, but because I've got like 35 Billion credits. There are many good tutorials here on youtube that explain it way better than my broken english lol.
