  • What does a good and healthy sense of identity provide for people?
As you take a glance over your life, what have been some of the things you have identified as? What caused them to shift and morph?
Has your identity been determined more about what you have done, or who you are? What is the difference?
What identity has Jesus brought to your life and purpose?
Do you join Jesus in his great cause for the salvation (rescue from the present and hope for a good future) of humanity, or do you ask HIm to join your causes?
Is Jesus your living cornerstone, or more like a wall or a roof? What is the proof of either?
1 Peter 2:9-10 gives you some identity. You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a purposeful possession, and a partnering people. Which one do you like the most? Which one do you struggle to understand the most? Which one do you resist the most?
God's mercy is a compassionate pity - feeling bad for a person while coming alongside them to help. How has God been merciful to you? How are you being merciful to those around you?
