    In this video I show you how to do a test grid on fabric.
    You must do this before engraving onto your fabric to determine the best parameters.
    The best parameters will be different depending on fabric type and the desired look of the engraving.
    All you can do test and test some more!
    I use 3 different denims for my lined zipper pouch, so I took the time to do a test grid on each before adding the patterns onto each patch.

    You are a great teacher. I’ll never own one of these machines, but it was fun to watch.

    hank you for this wonderful effort
    a question
    You noticed that your programs still contain the extraction icon, which unfortunately no longer exists with new updates
    Do you still have the old version of the program? Can you send it to me if that doesn't bother you?

    Does it weaken the integrity of the fabric?

    • @NotchesSewing
      @NotchesSewing  6 месяцев назад

      Yes it will so this is why it is important to do test grids. It is literally burning the fabric so you need to determine which settings is best. You can see at 3:00 mark of video.

    Is this the 10w or 20 watt. I have the 20watt so I’m wondering how different the settings would be to a 10w

    • @NotchesSewing
      @NotchesSewing  3 дня назад

      Actually mine is the 5w they no longer sell. You will have a lot more power but it is always best to test out different fabrics anyway.

    Wow! That would be so much fun to have. But it's way out of my budget. 🤥

    How long did it take you to figure all that out? It seems complicated.

      This took me a good afternoon which included watching other videos about doing test grids but there were none on fabric. But now you can just follow my steps. Thanks for watching.😊
