  • In this tutorial I'll show you how to vectorize clipart and engrave onto a cutting board using the M1 10 watt machine from xTool. A bonus tutorial on how to use that same leaf design to make a gift tag.
The boards used in this video were purchased from the Dollar Tree. I have put a link to similar ones on Amazon below.

You did a great job explaining each step. I just ordered the XTool M1 last night. This is exactly the tutorial I needed! Thank you!

Just an FYI. You helped me so I will help you as well. When you want to brake down your text to more then one line just put the cursor where you want to split the lines and hit enter. No backspace or shift key needed.
(Copy paste), highlight object then right click on the object, hit copy then hit paste close to where you want it move to then make your adjustments. No need for c-control or v- control.
You can also go to shapes to get a circle or square.

Thank you for the very detailed instructions. How did you know what to adjust the settings to?

I tested on another bit of wood to get the settings that I wanted. xTool has a newer version of their software out that gives you a visual of the settings, that will be helpful.

Nothing, it's heavy enough so it won't move.

please help, I have a 20mm thick piece of oak but cannot find anywhere any help for what settings to use when using the honeycomb bed, which shelf if any I should be putting the oak board on, and then which settings I ned to change on the software before processing it... thanks

Remove the honeycomb and place it in the first slot down. Place the board on it and see if the top of the wood comes up to the opening, if not you will have to place something under it to make it level with the opening. Change the "MODE" to "Baseplate Removed" and perform the automeasure. If that comes back OK choose your settings from the materials panel. Use the new materials suggestions to choose the look you want.
